I've been ridiculed by other fans by saying Solanke will be a perfect fit. Thanks for vindicating that 😂😂 great videos. Very well explained and constructive.
I actually disagree with this. I don't see how that improves the team if that costs Son who's the best finisher by forcing him to be stuck on the touchline. He had 27GA playing mostly as a striker despite he didn't really have a quality winger to support him while he was playing as a striker. Solanke is nowhere near a finisher Son is and it's not like he's better at link up play, playing through balls to feed the players around him which Son is also best at. If you want a bigger, stronger, better in the air centre forward for an extra defensive weapon, Real Madrid might as well have gone for Solanke as their striker instead of Mbappe but that's not how it works. And the heatmap of Son against Burnley shown in the video is cherrypicked. It just shows the team wasn't building up well from the back and solid enough for Son to stay up front. If you look at the heatmap of Son in the away match against Burnley where he scored a hattrick, it's completely different.
Didn’t like this idea at first but looking into him more he’s absolutely the exact striker we need he presses really well link up play is good and holding up the ball is very good heading is really good which now allows us to cross high for headers just as much as low crosses we can be very dangerous up front very excited now just need another number 6 and eze
They are some fans not showing Ange any respect in how he wants his play by saying they want Toney because he is simlar to Kane but Ange does not want a player similar to Kane he wants a player to make his system work . Plan A is not refined so why are some fans begging for plan B when Ange ball is not at Full effect.
Our preferred front 3 last season was Son-Richarlison-Kulu, but Richarlison picked up injuries and couldn't play as much. Would've loved to have seen his numbers compared to Solanke's. Otherwise, great video!
Love the signing. I'm hoping someone can be a good backup for Udogie. Seemed like they struggled more than I thought they would when he went out last season
Solanke to Spurs is a great fit indeed, and makes them condensers to properly push on (which is concerning as an Arsenal fan 😂). Most on-brand next step is a big injury in September though.
during preseason the back 2 have stepped down a little with the DM being more defensive minded, acting as a CB just ahead of the other 2. This is a good adjustment to the gameplan and if we get a proper DM i think this is really gonna work
Great video, just a little bit of feedback. its a little distracting when we keep switching from a complicated diagram or table to the presenter. Probably would be better if possible to keep the diagram / table in-shot and have the presenter as a small box in the corner.
I think it wasn't addressed that Solanke is the epithome of a one season wonder so far. Last season might had been a flash in a pan and there is very little evidence to show that he's actually PL standard forward. I wish him all the best, and been somewhat of a fan since his Chelsea youth team days, but that 65m is quite steep for a 26 year old with a underwhelming career.
He scored 19 goals the first season he was allowed to play attacking football, this 'one season wonder' is the only way negative fools are trying to detract from him.
@@i-am-batman8538 You're definitely not Batman, but Joker. Are you seriously claiming that 1-2 goal seasons as a starter or big part of rotation are good stats regardless of team tactics for an attacking player, let alone a striker?? Yes. Pure scoring stats shouldn't be seen as be all, end all and Solanke has always has had an impact to game beyond his scoring with his intelligent movement and great work rate, but we can't escape the fact that his finishing has been absolutely atrocius when getting the scoring chances prior last season. Only a true fool or a Joker would disregard these warning signs.
@@i-am-batman8538this is a hyper sensitive almost child like response to a very obvious and understandable doubt about Solanke. I hate if when fans get so precious and thus kind of toxic positivity
@@konzzayeah I just posted same thing. It’s not like he’s coming off a couple of seasons of being a consistent goal threat, the season before last no one was confident of his career going anywhere and anytime I watched him pre last season it was bad. Hell Richardison was much more consistent before we signed him and he’s been utterly underwhelming
Thank you for not being a muppet football channel. So many clowns on RUclips trying to pretend they know something about football. Love all your videos and can't wait to see Solanke crushing it at Spurs!
Nice video but I'm a bit disappointed. The comparison with a Spurs player should have focussed on Richarlison. He is Spurs' 1st choice 9. (By the way Kulusevski almost never played on the left). Your video showed that Son is not a 9 for a possession side, which Spurs watchers already knew. Your conclusions were really strong because the question you asked was an easy one. A more nuanced story would emerge if you compare per minute stats of Solanke and Richarlison. A comparison between them would have been much more interesting (obviously accounting for fitness too).
My main worry is that I’m fairly sure last season was a huge outlier for Solanke. It could have been a breakout season and he’ll push on or it could have been a one season wonder…which happens frequently for forwards.
Yes, Bamford at Leeds. 17 goals in the Premier League and an England cap. Mind you, that was Covid and no-one watching. Now no Leeds fan wants to watch him. That said Solanke is slotting into a system

OK. Possibly the best technical analysis I've seen on RUclips.
Amazing as always . Agree he’s going to be perfect for us
Archie Gray is a Fantastic signing too.
Yes! Fantastic young person in character too
I actually disagree with this.
Would be interesting to see Richarlison's heat map too to compare.
Amazing video. Great data. Thank you.
Ange absolutely wanted Solankie now thanks to you I know exactly why
Hope he does well. Deserves his shot after last season
💯 agree COYS and Solanke 💙🤍
Didn’t like this idea at first but looking into him more he’s absolutely the exact striker we need he presses really well link up play is good and holding up the ball is very good heading is really good which now allows us to cross high for headers just as much as low crosses we can be very dangerous up front very excited now just need another number 6 and eze
fine analysis, done with great cheer... thanks a lot!
Great analysis. I'm so excited for this season!
They are some fans not showing Ange any respect in how he wants his play by saying they want Toney because he is simlar to Kane but Ange does not want a player similar to Kane he wants a player to make his system work . Plan A is not refined so why are some fans begging for plan B when Ange ball is not at Full effect.
If you get a straight answer to this, please share. It’s like they enjoy misery.
Great analysis, and very telling that you didn't mention Richarlison once !
Brilliant! Great breakdown on the player.
Our preferred front 3 last season was Son-Richarlison-Kulu, but Richarlison picked up injuries and couldn't play as much. Would've loved to have seen his numbers compared to Solanke's. Otherwise, great video!
Great video with all the stats/overlay/analysis
Enjoyed the video - good luck with the run
Loved the graphic analysis. Here's hoping Solanke produces for Spurs.
Really spot on analysis.
Always insightful… txs
Love the signing. I'm hoping someone can be a good backup for Udogie. Seemed like they struggled more than I thought they would when he went out last season
Amazing analysis. I think Dom will kill it and score 25+ goals next season, UNLESS he gets injured which is my worry.
A physical finisher in the box is exactly what Tottenham needed, and allows Son to contribute to his strengths.
Brilliant video, bro. Top draw
Really enjoyed this. Great video.
He would not be first striker to have a great season with a relatively small club, get a move and absolutely fall off. Hell Richardison was much more consistent before we signed him and he’s been utterly underwhelming
@@wephilips6651You could try getting his name right. Richarlison.
Solid AF signing. Big Dom Solanke is a great player and I think Ange might get the best from him.
Fantastic video as always
Video is soo good 14 minutes comes so quickly
As a Liverpool fan I also love it. Extra money in and I think he was a decent player for Liverpool. Unsure if Chelsea also get money from this deal.
Great analysis, man 😮
Hello, Adam.
Been following you since What Culture days. Wanted to say hi!
You are the best tactical analysis channel on this platform, could you please do Arsenal vs Bayern Leverkusen?
Great content!
Thank you for not being a muppet football channel. So many clowns on RUclips trying to pretend they know something about football. Love all your videos and can't wait to see Solanke crushing it at Spurs!
excellent explanation ❤
Fantastic analysis
Nice video but I'm a bit disappointed. The comparison with a Spurs player should have focussed on Richarlison. He is Spurs' 1st choice 9. (By the way Kulusevski almost never played on the left). Your video showed that Son is not a 9 for a possession side, which Spurs watchers already knew. Your conclusions were really strong because the question you asked was an easy one. A more nuanced story would emerge if you compare per minute stats of Solanke and Richarlison. A comparison between them would have been much more interesting (obviously accounting for fitness too).
Well done, sir.
Welcome back Adam Clery!
This video was awesome ngl
He was my top 5 striker options for united but for 40m good signing for spurs
Great analysis 👏
Great analysis
Make a Neto to chelsea video. We’ve finally got a winger who can consistently beat his man and put in dangerous crosses/cutback.
A very good video your videos are always based on well researched info, keep up the good work COYS 💙🤍 and Solanke to bag 25+
Great vid!
