I am really stoked for this one. Loved This when it came out originally and when Byrne did a stint I was beside myself. 50 years is insane!! Thanks for the review and bring it on please!!
I was waiting for this one for some time. I sold my Iron Fist #14 last March, because I need some cash. Now, I can buy this omnibus with colorful artwork on white pages.... all those issues. Thank you so much, Omar and Marvel, for my most wanted omnibus!
The Marvel Universe by John Byrne, volume 2, omnibus already collected Marvel Premiere #25, Iron Fist (1975) #1-15, and Marvel Team-Up (1972) #63-64; so some of the material had been printed in omnibus form already, along with the magazine issues in the other omnibus.
One of my all time favourite comic runs! If this was a Mega Print book I’d be totally thrilled but very happy to finally have this series in its own Omni! Thanks Omar!
Glad Iron fist finally got a classic omnibus also surprised the b&w magazine issues are included, I might buy this and sell my deadly hands of kung fu tpb now.
I'm really excited for this one! Also, I will not apologize for the fact that I liked the Iron Fist Netflix show. I know you didn't like it, Omar, but you can't deny that David "Faramir" Wenham did a great job chewing the scenery as Harold Meacham.
I am also unapologetic about liking the show! It had it's flaws, but I still had a fun time with it. David Wenham was great as Harold, and I loved Tom Pelphrey as Ward
Loved Iron Fist book from the start! From Marvel Premiere to Marvel Team-Up and Power Man/Iron Fist. Just wondering why they left Pat Broderick off the credits on the cover? He contributed a bit in the Premiere run. One of my favorite artist that also had great runs on Leigon of Superheros for DC and Micronaughts that I'm looking forward to their upcoming Omni also. I wish one of the slip covers would have included something of his though. Haven't seen any of his work lately, has he retired?
Can't wait to get my hands on this! Huge Iron Fist fan here, so this is a must-have for me, even though I have the epic collection, essential, Deadly Hands of Kung Fu, and Marvel Masterworks. I hope this arrives earlier than Jan. 30 here!👊
I hope so. The books get REALLY good when they team up and are allowed to let loose. We have Luke Cage Early Years and now Iron Fist, so I would imagine we get 2 volumes of the team up
Sonofa- the standard edition is £20 more expensive than the DM variant over here and it's the former I want. Definitely going on my shelf though. Hopefully we get a Power Man and Iron Fist omni or two.
Great video as always Omar!! I was so excited when i learned this was cining out. I pre-ordered this one months ago with the Direct Market Sabertooth Cover. Since we already have the Powerman Omni hopefully this is the final step before we get the Powerman and Iron Fist Omnis. Those were some of my favorite comics when they were coming out.
1:44 Well, actually, there were THREE Iron Fist omnis, because the Immortal Iron Fist & the Immortal Weapons release was expanded with twice as much content as the 2009 version. So it is actually a different omnibus. 😉🤫
Not really that comprehensive, when it's missing the ending to Claremont & Byrne's run with the character from LUKE CAGE, POWER MAN # 48 & 49 and POWER MAN & IRON FIST # 50. 😕
@@wkpna Comprehensive as far as the solo IF run. The Luke Cage omni ends at issue 47, so I'm expecting couple of PM & IF omni's to pick up and carry this on.
So, if you have this Iron Fist omni and the MOKF omnis, you will only be missing the Magazine articles from Deadly Hands of Kung Fu? You'll have all the comic stories from Deadly Hands?
I still can't get over the fact that Marvel left out AGAIN the coda and actual ending to Claremont & Byrne's IRON FIST run from LUKE CAGE, POWER MAN # 48 & 49 and POWER MAN & IRON FIST # 50. They did it on the Masterworks, and then again on the Epic collection. Why?! For me, it completely sours this book. 😞
@@yunoyuluvit Of course, but it makes this collection incomplete. I'd rather have the Claremont & Byrne run complete here, as Panini did with their Spanish collection. I think that was the right choice.
@@wkpna Then there would be complaints of triple-dipping, as you'd have to include those in the Luke Cage omnibus, as well as the inevitable team-up one. It makes much more sense to have the team-up story in the team-up omni.
@@yunoyuluvit But this is no team-up, but literally the end of Claremont & Byne's run, tying all loose ends. As for overlapping, well, they do include the ACTUAL Team-Up issues, for they are, again, an essential part of Claremont & Byrne's run. So it makes absolutely no sense to leave out those final 3 books. As I said, Panini did include them, but not the DEADLY HANDS... material, and, to me, that made for a much more satisfying collection of early Iron Fist.
Let me ask you a real question. Would you rather them omit the issues themselves? We’ve seen this in manga, books and movies. I don’t mind things like this as long as the books are complete.
@NearMintCondition keep the books complete and don't have a trigger warning would be my choice. But if I had to choose then yes trigger warning then complete books. But mark my words as time goes on the trigger warnings will become larger in print and longer in length. See the new 20 min lecture before Gone with the wind starts on MAX for this. Used to just be viewer discretion advised now it's a lecture. They always take a mile for the inch you give them.
Sticking with the epic collection. Can't justify this price.

I ended up getting the Epic Collection as it covers similar books but without the deadly hands stuff
This will pair with the Luke Cage Omnibus. So we have to have a Power Man And Iron Fist Omni.
I said the same thing with my Defenders omnis
It's no longer a question of "if", but "when"!
Wow I just typed a similar comment!! Lol
Oh man...waited since last year for this review! Im def gretting this Bronze age omni! It fits in with my Luke Cage and Defenders omnia

Iron fist show was terrible
When he realizes theres hidden cameras and proceeds to flip of the entire room, killed me.
Cool, I disagree.@@821lancevance

I liked it too. It got off to a rough start but gradually improved over the first season, and season 2 was really good.
This looks so good! I'm so excited to receive my copy. Love the Iron Fist tattoo is on the back of the book!
This looks sick

He’s on Facebook and he seems to be still working. He posts new artwork on Facebook occasionally.

Cool! Thanks for the info!
This really wasn't on my radar at all, but it looks very good so I think I'm going to pick this up!
I can't wait to put this next to the Luke Cage Hero For Hire Omni! And hopefully Marvel will give us a PM/IF Omni!

It arrived today, so it was earlier than Jan. 31 like I hoped! So good!👊
I believe this and Luke Cage then morphed into Power Msn and Iron Fist series. Will we see that Omni?
I reckon so. The Luke Cage omni ends immediately before they get paired up, so I imagine two volumes are on the cards. 🫰
I hope so. The books get REALLY good when they team up and are allowed to let loose. We have Luke Cage Early Years and now Iron Fist, so I would imagine we get 2 volumes of the team up
I can't wait for the Powerman and Iron Fist Onnis to come out. Those two characters were definitely a perfect pairing.
Time to sell those epics. 🎉
After watching this review, I am strongly considering buying this omnibus.
Love Iron Fist! I have the Epic Collection versions that covers the issues in this Omni but I def want this Omni too
Great to have some more Iron Fist for the Kung-fu shelf!
Sonofa- the standard edition is £20 more expensive than the DM variant over here and it's the former I want. Definitely going on my shelf though. Hopefully we get a Power Man and Iron Fist omni or two.
I can't believe they didn't reprint Power Man & Iron Fist 48-50 It's the same freaking creative team!!
The issue with The Wrecking Crew is my favorite in the series.
also harvey comics companion softcover book on sale too!

I would also like a Modern Omnibus with the new Iron Fist.
We do have a modern Iron Fist omni...not much else has been released for this guy in omni format
@@Rob-z7k oh I didn't want to spoil it, but I meant the new guy under the mask. It's been fun so far.
Is it worth the upgrade from the Epic collection for the Deadly Hands of Kung Fu issues?
I was wondering the same thing.
If you want to stick to the TPBs, the Iron Fist: Deadly Hands of Kung Fu complete collection might be the better option for you.
So, if you have this Iron Fist omni and the MOKF omnis, you will only be missing the Magazine articles from Deadly Hands of Kung Fu? You'll have all the comic stories from Deadly Hands?
do you think wolverine feels embarrassed when he remembers iron fist beat sabertooth with his eyes closed?
No, I think he is embarrassed when he remembers Daniel Way’s run.
