As a Navy guy, I wanted to give the jarhead a bit of grief……, but his collection, personality, and personal views on life were just too good to do anything other than congratulate him! And follow his channel. Thanks TGV for putting him out there. Thank you, Morgan, for your service and sharing your collection. Fantastic!
Same....irrationally I was annoyed by his Rolex centric collection. Some may say quite derivative, uninspired, safe and dull. however his message behind his collection was sweet and felt sincere.
Thanks for your service, Morgan! Semper fi !! I dig your collection. 😊 the Rolex haters will hate, but you seem like someone who wears them for the love of the quality, not for flexing.
Thank you so much for featuring me, TGV. I'm honored! Yes, I am indeed Alex M from Boston! To answer your question about the watch on the bottom right, that's my late grandfather's Seiko Solar SNE093. He had a small collection of about three or four very affordable watches and after he passed about a decade ago, I inherited them. I let the others go, but I kept the Seiko. I almost never wear it, but it will forever be part of my collection.
There he is! It was really great to see your watches and finally hear the voice behind the name. A very unique Seiko, an interesting model I have never heard of and a great way to remember him by. Thank you again my friend, I love that you are now even more a part of the channel. I hope in the future I can see an update too. O&U! T. P.s. Stay strong with that 10 piece collection amount, I'm envious you can do that. 😎🥂
Why do people call, The Ubran Gentry, TGV? Are those his actual initials. I'm gonna send in my watch collection, after 3 months of collecting. 10 watches, I may have a problem.
Thanks for having me on T! I had a great time talking about these pieces with you and your subscribers! I'm considering a couple of different options but my next watch is something from Christopher Ward... Wink wink... And remember, no Oddjob!
🤣🤣👏👏 Thank you Steve, you video was awesome and a real over due pleasure. Until next time and looking forward to see what you go for. Un forte abbraccio! T.
I loved your section Steve. Reckon you've got the perfect voice for running a youtube channel. And good to see a chap with a similar sized wrist to me. That Greek watch is AMAZING! Fabulous design sense and aesthetics, as well as the reasoning behind the design concepts.
How much were you paid monthly? How long did you serve? How much money was spent on booze and partying? I don't have any experience in working in the military. However, I work as a firefighter. I know many people from my rescue dept who have bought nice keepsake watches, to commemorate the time spent in the service, even though the salary isn't great. People who are interested in buying such a memento save money, some even for years. Some consider buying an expensive a watch with such salary dumb. I get it. But when years go by, you get to see shit and meet extraordinary people, and it's time to retire and return all of the equipment, it's nice to have something that has been with you through thick and thin. It's something that I wish to take me back every time I look at it, a small part of the job that I get to keep.
I am pretty new to this channel but just wanted to say that I am so glad I found my way here. These videos especially highlighting actual collectors from all walks of life and hearing what their watches mean to them are such a great time.
Love this format TGV. Watching people talk about their collections is my favorite thing to watch about watches on RUclips. I hope to put one of these together sometime soon. Cheers.
I really don't see this series getting boring. The variety of collections is brilliant, not to mention hearing really interesting perspectives on people's collecting journeys. Love it!
Thanks so much for the feature TGV. Seeing your reaction to my video just put a huge smile on my face. Also shout out to the other collectors who have fantastic watches. Whether we’re talking vintage Omegas, Hamilton Murphs, or Greek microbrand divers, this video was filled with horological badassery.
Love this series and seeing other's collections! so fun to hear their personal stories and views on watches and collecting in general. Phenomenal collections all around, some really special pieces seen today! I especially love the bullhead chrono and vintage Seiko panda 6139!
Awesome TGV. So refreshing to see proper engagement and interest in the collections of real people. There are too many uninspiring reactions to vacuous celebrity collections around so lovely to see this
Was busy banging out an essay but that can wait. Loving this series, TGV. I think we should have Hugo do a SOTC on here soon with you reacting 🤣🤣🤣 LMAO
TGV, This was an absolute blast! What a great idea you've come up with here. I can't wait for the next one. ...And how about that Seiko Chronograph? That guy's entire collection was sublime.
Genius idea for a series of videos, I enjoy seeing these collections from everyone in all price categories. The guy who said the day/date was more useful than a gmt is absolutely correct imo
I love what you did by allowing those who follow you, showcase, and give their history and why they selected their time pieces. Watches share our time here on earth. They are a piece of us that some, if not many, will ever understand. What a great segment to watch. Well done, sir. 🤙
Excellent video as usual TGV. This is probably one of the best segments in the watch space. I love seeing everyone's collections. As a retired Sailor, shout-out to Morgan. Great collection but I think he needs some more color in there. Say 64 more colors, eh Morgan? LOL, just some fun USN/USMC humor.
Thanks for the compliment. Yes, the next piece will definitely have a splash more in terms of color 😂 I can’t go too crazy though as I wear all my watches in uniform.
This series is a nice addition to the regular content, as you can see many watches through the view of a wearer and not the lens of social media with all the hype/hate that is sometimes relentlessly attached to that content.
I love this series. It's like having a nice conversation with collectors from all over the world. I also have a "one in, one out" rule but, you guys are making it difficult to follow!
Thanks for the feature TGV! I’ll add one detail from my vid - the magazine below the VHS tapes is something I picked up during my trip in Japan. It basically showcases a lot of different watches and I would recommend picking up a couple issues if you visit a bookstore during your eventual trip!
That Breitling B1 of Steve got that operational look to a next level, perfect analog/digital dial! Thanks for sharing the TGV watch community collections. Best regards!
TGV - first time poster here - found you about 2 months ago! Great content and I didn't realize you were also in the "Philly" area; relatively new "collector" - looking forward to my new Tudor 1926 which is headed my way shortly (started the journey off with a Tissot Gentlemen, Bulova Lunar Pilot and Hamilton Murph)
TGV, I've been watching your videos for 4 or 5 years now. Your heart is definitely in the right place when it comes to the love of watches and truly valuing your audience/subscribers. Your videos are so appreciated, and I always look forward to them! A big thanks!
@theurbangentry You're welcome, and thank you. My favorite watch of the video was definitely the white Seiko Panda with the 2 sub dials. What a striking design. Also, and no pressure here. I bought the Nivada Grenchen ChronoKing "Paul Newman" Orange Mecaquartz. I'm mesmerized by the orange chapter ring, and it's just a beautiful watch, especially at the price point of under $500 USD. Fantastic company. If you ever want to discuss this watch, I'm happy to lend it for a review. I'm right over the pond in South Jersey. If so, let me know.
Thanks very much for sharing your channel with a fellow U.S. Marine. My wonderful wife gifted me a new TAG, she would buy at the Marine Corps Exchange where ever we were stationed, every time I was promoted beginning when I was promoted to First Lieutenant. I wore Timex Ironmans to work for 22 years. Used my TAGs on weekends and special occasions. I couldn’t afford Rolex, or Omega, when our kids were little. I now have a couple of Omegas, a Hamilton, Casio, and Seiko watches now. I don’t have a Rolex, yet. I would like a new Submariner, but I can’t bring myself to pay a price higher than retail. Semper Fidelis, Lieutenant Colonel, USMC (Retired)
Semper Fidelis Sir, thank you for your service. You definitely don’t have to pay above retail. Just be the classy gentleman you know yourself to be, make your intentions clear to the Rolex authorized dealer and they will work with you. Best of luck.
Hi TGV Really love to watch these collectors vids. Interesting to see how different persons kind of links their collections together. Some are very diverse, others more focused on a particular watch style or brand. Keep up the good work👍
As much as I enjoy the usual content TGV, these videos really take the top award. I thoroughly enjoy seeing the videos and collections of all the gentry!
Urban Gentry is by far the most underrated watch channel on RUclips. Big fan from Toronto Canada. Your voice is “Audiobook” quality mate. It’s fantastic.
I recently got into watches and I'm so glad I came across your channel. I've watched dozens of videos and really like your approach to them. I also watched videos from 5 years ago and the recent ones - and it's such a joy that you haven't lost your passion for what you're doing. You keep that energy, and I know how hard it is to be consistent in content creation. I also love that you express your opinion, but you do not present it as the only one that matters. What can I say, I really appreciate that you're keeping up with it! Thank you very much from a person who is just trying to figure out his collecting journey! :)
Thank you so much TGV for providing your audience with this wonderful opportunity to showcase their watch opinions and collection! This truly means a lot to me when watch channels like you have a conversation with their audience and not just lecture the RUclips audience! I wish more RUclips channels and even professors/lectures follow your example! Fantastic job TGV! You have made my snow day today less miserable and more warm and sunny! Stay healthy and well as always! Thank you!! Your watch enthusiast, Nick L 🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧⏱️⏱️⏱️🦖🦖🦖👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
TGV I love these videos! I've been stranded at home with a pretty bad snow/ice storm. So I've been in my home office/hobby room milling about and these talking about watches videos are really nice. Keep up the good work! Long time subscriber to the channel.
Great video Tristan....! Loved the interaction with other collectors.... Wish I had driven down to Moyers to see you in the fall... Would loved to have met you.... You should move to Carmel, great area!... Ciao, Ciao, Greg

This is such a great series. It’s also refreshing to see a genuine appreciation for others, no matter the monetary value of their collections. Now, where are my white gloves….🤔
Love the videos! You are a purely classy guy and I sincerely appreciate how nice you always are to people. I recall sending you a video when I wore a Casio DW-6600 on a solo climb of Pyramid Peak in Lake Tahoe about 7 years ago. :) You were very nice and responded, which was unexpected. Regards!
Excellent video! I love Alex’s electric blue Omega Seamaster. I’ve never seen this type of dial. I hope that Steve can share the reference number. Also, I agree with Alex that the Omega Aqua Terra is an unbelievable everyday watch. I love mine as well.

Regards!
This is your best collection video yet TGV! 👏🏼
Stunning collections. Specifically liked Alex's electric blue seamaster! A proper hidden gem 💎
Nice collection bro. I too am a fan of seiko. Hopefully one day I’ll have a collection worth showing off on your channel until that day cheers😇
There’s a wrong way and a right way to review people’s collections and TGV absolutely gets it right.
You just made my day. Thank you!!! 🙏
Onwards, upwards and best regards,
TGV

I need to get my watches together and on camera, love the series and the pieces my fellow collectors have picked!
Shout out to the guy with the s1 lego rally car on the table. instantly had this 5 zylinder sound with the waste gate whistle in my head haha
Best watch channel. At least top 5. Stay classy man. Happy new year. And thank you for remaining a Gentleman.
Very Good show. Truly enjoy seeing other peoples collections.
These videos are a lot of fun. Thank you for the effort 👊
Great Video as always TGV. Keep doing what you do best! Cheers!
Excellent video! I love Alex’s electric blue Omega Seamaster. I’ve never seen this type of dial. I hope that Steve can share the reference number. Also, I agree with Alex that the Omega Aqua Terra is an unbelievable everyday watch. I love mine as well.
That was fun. And tasteful collecting by your audience. Theirs and your appreciation was palpable.
Love the idea of 1 in 1 out…. Might have to adopt that for myself!
