I find it very ironic that pcsx2 seems to run worse on this hardware and others with integrated graphics than RPCS3 does. Maybe it's just that pcsx2 works better with older hardware with discrete graphics than newer ones with integrated. My laptop hardly meets any requirement for RPCS3 but most of my ps2 games run at least 2x resolution.
The thing is the stable release that is available runs like shit pretty much in every hardware configuration. The nightly qt builds that are going on now run every PS2 game like a dream.
PCSX2 has always been badly optimised from what I've seen. I've known the project for more than 10 years and people still have issues with the performance.
@@t.castro4493 PCSX2 progress not great unlike other emulator even to this days there still game that run not well on PCSX2 either you use APU, iGPU or dedicated GPU.
Thank you sooo much for this...might be the solution to the sff powerful emulation pc AND you said batocera I instantly subscribed.Keep up the great work
Thanks for the video! I bought a prebuilt at a great price on clearance and realized the PSU and motherboard were proprietary and an upgrade to throw in a graphics card isn't really possible (Unless I want to do a GT 1030). I've been wondering if I should sell it, rehome the Cpu and ram in a new motherboard or deal with it but I'm glad to see theres still potential for this thing for now until I make up my mind for certain. Emulation was a big plan for this machine anyway so things are looking good at the moment.

So I work at a computer repair shop... I just happened to install an i7-7700 in the exact same model HP earlier today without even seeing this video.... Before that I was using an i5-6500t to run batocera... did you precog me doing this or something? trippy lol
I have the exact same Elitedesk 800 g3 mini, only with the i5 7500t cpu. I'm able to run switch emulation without any noticeable slowdown, and I don't get the wii-u stuttering in botw. To unlock the best emulation performance, ensure you have two sticks of ram in dual channe model, use retrobat on windows for emulation, enable the cpu all-core turbo boost frequency as a baseline using throttlestop, and ensure the pc is actually outputting 720p - for some reason recent versions of windows want to use 720p->1080p scaling with Intel video drivers, and that takes cpu resources away. The fan does audibly ramp up when playing switch or demanding pc games, but I'd rather that than the stutters.
AWESOME Videos for Supporting the Intel 630 Chipset... Any hope of you doing some videos on how to configure them correctly for Emulation and also games like GTA IV and GTA V... Everytime I try to set games up to play on using internal chipsets and my Lenovo 720q Tiny with 32GB RAM and the i5 8th Gen they run like dog with a broken leg.... Any help would be appreciated :)
I have tried to run Virtual Fighter 3 and it crashes before reaching gameplay, but I have a feeling that it’s an emulator problem more than the hardware. I’ll work on it!
I have a Dell Optiplex 3050 with the i5-6500T with integrated Intel UHD 630 and 16GB of RAM, I'm planning on changing the processor to an i7 7700T also has the UHD 630. It plays most games ok at x2 but i want it to play all games ok at x2. It really, really struggles with Rogue Squadron games lol
Nice shot out to ETA Prime, im addicted to his emulation videos too!
Same!
Underrated channel. This should be recommended more

I have that same HP DM I got to keep from a previous job. Does it perform well with emulation for 80’s arcade games?
Should be able to do mostly all MAME arcade
