Bless the people who work on emulation and preserving this art that companies most time forget
best download as much as you can before it'll all get banned and become illegal and sites down and whatnot.... Nintendo to thank for.
thank you so much for all of your help. you are a godsend. I watched your pcsx2 tutorial the other day because I was just so lost on how to get it going. I'm seriously technologically challenged and didn't know anything about bios or 7-zip so I was just hitting wall after all before I found your videos. So thank you again, so much
I just repurposed my old laptop for emulation and this could not come at a better time. I love that you are straight to the point and concise. Great stuff man - subscribed!
This channel is quickly becoming my favorite go to emulation channel. Thanks for not making drawn out videos. Getting straight to the point in easy to follow step by step instructions has made my retro life 1000% easier lol
INCREDIBLE vid mate! I've been emulating for well over a decade and consider myself pretty clued up. But you've just turned me on to a whole bunch of stuff I'd never even heard of before. Thanks ever so much! You rock! 😎🤟
i just booted up my pc and upgraded it hard drive ssd and ram I love that you are straight to the point and concise. Great stuff man - subscribed!
subscribed ! been watching your stuff while back when i got a steam deck
keep it up lvoe the content
*Great video brother, thank you! I use Dolphin and PCX2 and i love them to bits! Didnt know about RetroArch though, will definetly give it a try!*
has a difficult learning curve tho, unuserfriendly af at the beginning.
Installed launchbox with retro arch yesterday, runs great. Decided a few weeks ago to sell off most of my retro collection. If I had a better knowledge of emulation in the past would have sold it off long time ago. Good video.
This is very helpful! Thanks for the vid. :D
Thanks for this. Very informative!
Hey man ty for this I am new to these and needed guidance.
Great video man, keep it up!
love this guy. always straight to the point
Thanks
There are many reasons to like UrCasualGamer. Subscribed to him as soon as watching. I like how he mentioned (in a roundabout way) that there are old schoolers that did have many emulators on their desktop before your retroarch's, retro gamestations, etc. Some like it that way, some don't, no control over that. @urcasualgamer keep at it, but don't burn yourself trying to put out content. Just keep making this quality content.
xbox 360 and ps3 are getting retro great video man!
Thanks for the insight! As a novice it’s nice to have some advice to be able to play the classics without risking malware. Much gratitude
Great run down. Very good information. Love Boss!
super informative video ! def subscribing !
Awesome, just what I was looking for.
Love this guy always straight to point
Best channel on RUclips for retro games. I think it’s great to add videos about how to make USB Game Stick.
For years i was mac only so was using openemu on my macbook still do as it has so many emulators and features on there so tjat is the goat in my eyes 👌🏾 but last year i bought a gaming laptop so now have new version of pcsx2 which is awesome also just downloaded rspc3 which blows my mind ! How these people have dedicated their spare time preserving tgese classics for FREE really is something else . Heroes in my eyes
Thanks for the vid man fr
Love using Redream and got some of the Atomiswave games on there.
Getting the rog alley soon and I'm a complete noob with computers so I'll definitely be using your past videos for help
I’m gonna grab these this week
Great video! So many great titles on the PC. As much as I loved console gaming growing up, there is nothing like PC gaming now.
What's going on man I been watching your videos for a min now getting all that emulator information because you explain everything the best!
Thank you for the support
Great video, thank you sir
Great video as always
yesssir the GOAT is bacc!!!
Beautiful list and even stat requirements ❤️
Thanks
really big help thanks so much
I got Dolphin and PCSX2 to work thanks to your guides.
Video was really helpful can't wait until I get my PC
This is super helpful since there’s so many emulators out there now it can be hard to figure out which is “best.” What would make this even better though is if you could explain why each was chosen. For example why Redream over flycast or yuzu over ryujinx, etc?
Thanks man appreciate it.
appreciate you man.!!!!
Thanks for mentioning the dolphin bar. I didn't know that it was available for dolphin.
Have you considered doing a video on Front Ends for all the emulators like Batocera, Retrobat, or LaunchBox?
i recently played RE3 Nemesis HD Seamless Project on the Dolphin emulator. it was awesome!
love your content! Great thuro tutorials and guides that helped me over the years with emulation. But im shocked project 64 didn't make this list though. any reasons why?
PCSX2 is hands down one of my favorite emulators for PC. Duckstation is also my favorite. I especially like that it has support for other controllers like the Dualshock 4 and the Dualsense. Since I don't have a Dolphin sensor bar, I've only ever played GameCube games on Dolphin but I do agree that it's a great emulator. I've actually tried Xemu which is another original Xbox emulator and it's decent but I know it's still a work in progress. For that I would just rather play those games on an actual Xbox.
you can use your ps5 or 4 controller for the wii ive been playing like that for weeks
I loved PCSX2 too, but after having so much problems with the Emulator bugging when configuring my controller, and having to d it over and over again, because he always looses it, when my Bluetooth Controler turns off, even when the Stick is still in it, I started to hate this Emulator.
@@AlryFireBlade im on the steam deck and i have not had any problems with any of the emulators i have installed so far surprisingly... even RPCS3 went pretty well... except for god of war 3 that game is just a whole different beast on it's own.
Can you use Xbox one controller on pcsx2?
@@Man11235 yes i just tried it out on scaler and it worked pretty good... but since it's not a playstation styled controller you just gotta have muscle memory on what button is what.
New version of pcsx2 blows away the old one.
I have a 2023 pcsx2 setup coming tomorrow
@@UrCasualGamer Thanks for your hard work bro. very exciting
@@UrCasualGamer Thank you, very much. It is appreciated, as are you.
@@UrCasualGamer tight
Yeah man, it’s incredibubble
I think you should have talked about Duckstation and CXBXR like you did with PCSX2 and Xenia, and should also have included PPSSPP (Sony PSP Emulator) amd m-GBA (Nintendo Gameboy, Gameboy Color and Gameboy Advance emulator) but other than these, thanks for this great video demonstrating the best emulators for widely known platforms.
Bro these are great!
always find your videos very quick and easy to follot
Nice vid man :D can you do android emulators next?
Video game emulators must be one of the greatest inventions humanity have ever created, if you are into video games. It allows us to play old video games that doesn't exist in the store anymore!
i use most of these emulators on my steam deck.great video!
Thanks
Retroarch is more of a front-end than an actual emulator, but I got what you meant. I love PPSSPP, it is definitely one of the better built emulators.
What do you mean by front end?
@@macblink It's a collection of emulators with a built in user interface to store games/navigate through emulators/content.... etc...
love the content and setup vids, super helpful. Question is there an emulator for Wii U yet?
love the updates
I will say I prefer Ryujinx to Yuzu for performance and accuracy, but 2022 was an incredible year for both in terms of progress. Nice recap!
So Ryujinx would be better on a lower spec PC ?
Both will work with lower specs, but I still recommend having a graphics card for a decent experience.
Me too
Ryujin sucks on steam deck
It varies game to game really. Xenoblade 1 plays better on Ryujinc but 2 is better on YuZu.
I run emulators on my 2007 480p LCD TV. I find an HDMI to coax converter provides a more period correct retro image. Seems to work best with a pre 2009 TV with a analog tuner. No CRT needed.
Great channel, was a there a video on the PSP emulator for PC on your channel?
This guy is prime, and so is his channel.
amazing video thx
ps3 actually caught up and passed the 360 in sales in the end!
Great video, but I had to mute between entries because the music was booming through my walls and waking up people.
Thanks for the list, I have RPCS3, Yuzu, RyujinX, Cemu, Zsnes (an old version that works with w10), NeoGeo, Dolphin and PCSX2 ^^
Changed zsnes for snesx9 cause zsnes can't keep aspect ratio in fullscreen (also, it's reputation of malware)
I’ve been using XBSX2 and I LOVE it so far.
👍
Thx u very much
Thank you my nigga you are a lifesaver
Cool Vid
This man always has out back
I'm building my own arcade cabinet using pi4b with retro arch. It was hard to figure out all the cores, BIOS and everything. I made a sweet chart that broke down each system with the proper config needed. Also the N64 was a hard one to do as each game sometimes has different types of configs. Don't get me started on configuring the controllers mouhahahahah. That was a pain on it's own configuring Bluetooth via Linux. took me over 1 year to get the software config how I wanted it with the art, music and everything. Now i just need to build the arcade cabinet itself.
it is my dream to build a project like that!! but i think im not capable of doing it lol
saw that tshirt and instant attention
Cool
Nice man Brasil. \o
thank you 😄
You don't need a dolphin bar anymore to run wiimotes on Dolphin. But you do need the wiimotes and a sensor bar that works (I have a non-dolphin bar battery sensor bar). Apparently, motion plus is not well supported on either. Also, board is supposedly also supported but I haven't tested that yet.
Ryujinx is the one that needs the firmware, Yuzu runs fine without it and has for a long time now ^^
I started with emuelec/retroarch. Now Retrobat. Got the bios to boot. Roms to play 😀. I like your advice though.
🎯🎯🎯Hey Casual Gamer, can we get a tutorial on modding an Arcade1up to play retro games? I like the way you teach how to videos.
Emulations gives you back to the past
I dig your emulator vids.
Yo UrCasualGamer You can play all these awesome emulators on Valves Steam deck too, and its very easy to set up. Just imagine playing PCSX2 (PS2) emulator while on the train, well now you can lol. Love your channel❤️
Review of every emulator? Would seem like a lot tho but would be cool
Great Video as always. What are the recommended cores for Retroarch?
Sounds like another top picks video idea. I got you in about a week
I only use Emulators mostly c64, Amiga zx spectrum and Atari st. I need to try out the console Emulators.
I like to play handheld emulators on my phone like gba or 3ds so I think that on PC the best ones are the console emulators.
the emulator yuzu and dolphin you can upscale it to 8K, the most i can upscale to is 6k resolution and the graphics on it look beautiful
I recommend everyone to use the stable version except the nightly becoz this are under development and may face sometimes the buggy issues i really faced it so i recommended to use the stable version
You're the best.
legend
I'm a Retro Gamer So Now I Can Play Any Games On This Emulators
PPSSPP & dolphin both do perfect emulation even on a core 2 duo.
Thank you for this video, but I have a few questions, that I deem very important, I have Windows 11, a Lenovo Legion, it came with (X-Box) already installed, so with this will I still need to install an Emulator in order to play games for fun or to be able to play these games in my job? Right now, I have my X-Box game ware in the on position, should I keep it there? Also I have never actually used it, mainly because I have no idea as to even get it started, what is required in order to get this X-box started, it is so very confusing o me, Please help.
I tried dolphin bar on my pc and it didnt catch my wii-mote plus wery well on pc monitor. probably because the bar is to close to remote. will have to try it on a big screen and couch, i bet i will get better reasults there with better distance. would like to see the feture implemented to cemu and yuzu. also would be great if we could use our wii u remotes with our emulators. would love to play nintendo games on small screen outside the house when i am drinking coffe.
Libary! Yesssss!
I'm a simple man.
I see a video about emulation, I press like.
GOAT
I played Crazy Taxi in Redream perfectly until 2 days after that the game its almost pitch black. Wondering what is causing this, anyone?
Awesome videos. Can you recommend a decent laptop that can run these emulators?
Shout out to RPCS3 for letting me enjoy Diablo 3 on a PC with controller support and couch co-op..something Blizzard slapped us PC users in the face with over the years by never allowing those two features on the PC version..
I still would like to play my PS3 emulator games wilh a classic joystick on a stand up arcade, games like Fight Night and NBA Jam is that possible and where do i start?
Any advice for dedicated mini pc to hook up to tv just for emulation?
Rpcs3 is pretty rocky ATM, I had to go through a lot of hoops n loops just to get metal gear solid 4 running. And even then the game has some problems, hoping there's a massive patch to fix that emulator
True. Around 1/3 of the PS3 games are not playable, and MGS4 is one of them. It might be a good idea to check the compatibility list beforehand.
There are, don't correct me, forks which are made and configured just for a single game to run, I don't know if there are any for MGS4 but it's still worth searching.
@@flintfrommother3gaming I did hear about having to mess with certain settings and then it would fix the issue with some games, but I never bothered with it.
if you have high end cpu its very playable
