Unbound is not my favorite romhack but it is the clear #1 no matter how you look at it. So damn polished with so much new stuff that it puts the real games to shame.
If you like Drayano hacks, you gotta give Renegade Platinum a shot. It's my favorite ROM hack I've played so far, and the game has so many possibilities from the standpoint of different runs you can attempt. There's also a mod for it called 'Following Platinum' thats cool, it feels like the gen 4 experience Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl just couldn't provide.
Following Platinum was actually made for the normal Platinum version, it just so happens that it doesn't conflict with changes made in Renegade Platinum so it also works with that.
I'm surprised you didn't mention Crystal Clear. The work that went into that rom is absolutely ridiculous. Open world, level scaling, being able to evolve everything, the level of customization, and so much more 🙌
It gets boring not having to grind for as much freedom in that game as normal. When you have to earn a new level of freedom (via hms), you feel so accomplished when it happens. Crystal Clear was just so bland to me that I gave it up after 2 days, which is the shortest I've ever given up a rom hack.
@@peckneck2439 ? He didn't really add hardly anything to the base game ... So I'm not sure where this racism claim is coming from. That said it is a bit boring to be able to go anywhere right from the start and face zero obstacles in your path.
For anyone interested, here's a shortlist of the best Fan-made Games as well as ROM Hacks that I could find. I've grouped them into sort of a theme/trilogy as I find that neat. Here you go: "Origins Trilogy" - Pokemon RocketEdition, RedChapter, AshGray "Resolute Trilogy" - Pokemon Resolute, Nameless, Mega Power "Sweet Trilogy" - Pokemon Gaia, Flora Sky, Blaze/Glazed "Advanced Trilogy" - Pokemon CrystalClear, Emerald Theta Rev, Light Platinum "Dark Series" - Pokemon Dark Rising, Dark Rising 2, Order Destroyed, Dark Rising 3 ...and lastly there's the "Fakemon Triology" - Pokemon Uranium, Pokemon Snakewood, and Pokemon Clover PS: I haven't played the Rom Hacks of Pokemon Unbound, Pheonix Rising, and GS Chronicles as discussed by other commenters. And I'm not usually a fan of Fake-monsters or Fusion-monsters, because it usually does distract from the story, meta, and gameplay.
@@ekinteko thanks for that. I lost interest in Pokemon over a decade ago but remembered it after RUclips pilled me and reminded me of my old ass Gameboy collection, collecting dust, in my office. How does one download the Romhacks and where do you find a trusted download for them?

Your recommendation of Rocket Edition was fantastic. I fell in love with the story and it changed my whole perspective of the original characters throughout the entire series. It left me with a sense of completion but also a feeling of what do I do now that I'm done with this life. Easy 15/10
Glazed and Light Platinum are our favorite rom hacks when we're still playing GBA rom hacks with my friends long time ago. Remember playing Gaia before and I love it, but I think it's still not finished when I played it. Seen so many unfamiliar ROM hacks in this video, I wanna try them 🙃
Light Platinum truly is the goat. I think it's even my favorite pokemon game in general. I almost always gravitate back to it. Though, this time I resisted and went with Emerald(my favorite main game)
@@jaxstacks1253 I love the 2 regions and the Magcargo lava surf. It is the only rom hack I've ever completed. Though, I only tried around 10 or so back in the day.
Pokémon Team Rocket editon is the best rom hack ever. It has the best plot and all the secrets of the regular Fire Red stealing Pokemon does just dope and you get to play as a bad guy I think that's awesome they should definitely make more rom hacks like this.
One of my favorite rom hacks which is actually the first rom hack that I ever played back in 2014 was Pokémon Liquid Crystal which is basically a GBA Pokémon Crystal remake with great music and extra features like new rivals, evil teams, and the Orange Islands. I really think u should play it someday.
Wow, very different list than the one I had anticipated. But as someone who gets easily bored of catch-em-alls and the Dreyano-like hacks, I’m not surprised. Still respect it though Zwiggo! Here’s my list, as someone who prioritizes a good story mostly, rom hacks and fan made games included: 1. Pokémon Reborn (surprisingly hidden gem) 2. Pokémon Insurgence 3. Pokémon team rocket edition 4. Pokémon red adventures 5. Pokémon Unbound (amazing, if a little overhyped) 6. Pokémon Rejuvenation 7. Pokémon Gaia 8. Pokémon blazed glazed 9. Pokemon Sors 10. Pokemon Light Platinum If anyone’s got any good story hacks, I’d love to hear some more!
Your list content and reason was similar with my note for "Good Story Romhack" 😂 I'd like to suggest you DarkViolet. It might be old, but if you talking about the story, then you may want to have a look
My favourite rom hacks are Inclement Emerald, Crystal Clear and Radical Red (especially the former two). Oh boy how much fun I had playing those, I wished they were original titles (I even consider them the definitive version of their respective games).
That Charizard + Gardevoir/Gallade fusion is absolutely cursed and I hate it... but I can't deny the spritework is quite good. 1:50 OH MY GOODNESS THAT PIDDISH IS ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE 😍
Drayano works will always be my fav pick!! Big fans after playing OG Blaze Black. Now i trying to Dragonlocke Only this game. Because i want to at least reach Hall of Fame with my beloved Dragons
I used to play Ultra fire red on GBA emulator on my phone and it was so much fun, the amount and availability of pokemon makes it so easy to beat the game with completely different teams. Definitely one of the better roms I've played
If you havn’t played it yet, then Pokemon Fool’s Gold is great. Mostly the same story as the original gen 2 but 2 new cities in Johto & a whole new region all its own as well.
Currently playing infinite fusion which is as fun as it can be cursed. The fusion mechanic is incredibly fun and adds a level of customization but also fun when you're trying to guess what the heck the person you're battling is going to use next!
Crystal Clear is my favorite Romhack, because two features, the open world and the following Pokémon, you can freaking hug your Pokémon. (There's also a lot of hackroms that I like, but crystal clear is my favorite).
honestly i was feeling dissapointed that i wasnt seeing team rocket edition at the start considering how u mentioned that u liked hearing backstories until i saw you put it at number 1. ngl its the best rom hack of all time, to me and whenever i play something else i compare it to that
A wonderful list a few of them in here I was pleasantly suprised on your taste in rom hacks zwiggo. I got some new ones to play now because of you. Thank you you absolute LEGEND of a person.
Pokémon Clover If you can go through the 4Chan humor *which at this point just adds to its charm* you are rewarded with a challenging, unique, Funny, and with how much content there is, a experience no other Rom could replicate in my opinion
Before Playing the final release of Clover that happened 2 years ago I used to play Pokemon and some Rom Hacks basically every 2 or 3 months. I did a quick playthrough, usually using speed up the whole way through. When Clover came out I literally was obsessed with it for weeks and I'm not even a 4chan Member. I played around 400h, completing the pokedex, shiny hunting, doing 2 playthroughs, buidling mutliple viable teams etc. Ever since these few weeks I have never managed to finish any other pokemon game or rom hack, because Clover just set the bar so ridiculously high, that anything else was just plainly unenjoyable. I absolutey love the humor, the OST, and especially the designs of the mons. Easily the best Fakemons ever, I basically remember them just as good as normal Pokemon. The game is also incredibly well balanced. Pretty much 90% of mons are strong and viable and the fights are actually challenging and the teams are really diverse. I was in their discord at that time period and no one ever had the same team. Most people didn't even have 1 matching Pokemon. By far the best Rom hack ever and it will probably never be matched, except when they make another one imo.
I'm really looking forward the top fangames! I love this kind of showcase top where the youtuber actually gives an opinion and shows picked samples. Instead of lazy videos showing the game intro/tutorial with loud electro music and no voiceover. So thank you for that. And among the good videos, yours is very good !
Pokemon unbound was my first major rom hack. Honestly it's probably my favorite with just how much new stuff it did and just the actual effort in the story compared to mainline games. I played originally over a year ago but when it got the update for I think 2.0 it added so much. This is what pokemon should strive to be
Unbound is honestly overrated, the plot is edgy and the game mechanics are honestly too simple and boring; no challenging puzzles nor pokemon battles memorable
With the amount of times I played . Radical red is still not your casual gamer game on easy mode. It's still an increased difficulty system that a casual will still sweat on. I feel it was misrepresented here
I would love a GBA ROM that starts you in Kanto and goes through them all up to the new region today. Increased level caps with each region you go through, and new mechanics unlocked as you go. Like Megas in one region, then the next you learn to dynamax, but don't lose the ability to mega evolve still.
Please play pokemon infinite fusion, it’s a rom hack where you can fuse whatever pokemon you want with over 27000 custom pokemon sprites. it also has both kanto and johto, a new story, and so many quality of life features
Personally, I hated Ruby Destiny 2. From the amount of constant backtracking through routes with constant wild encounters. The broken fakemon in the game(I'm stucķ at the battle with Rayquaza and the other fakemon legendaries) and the constant grinding you have to do.
@@TheLostSheep578 yep, and the sudden level spike in Tower of Fate in the finale is absurd, plus I agree with the absurd backtracking...especially when finding new Pokemon when you're now allowed to build a team
In your top fanmade of pokemon you definitely have to include pokemon reloaded, is the best pokemon game in my opinion, unfortunately is not very popular in the English community
My favorite rom hack is, by far, Light Platinum. Unlike what the name sounds, it's a rom hack using ruby as the base. It gives new regions(exploring two) and have pokemon all the way up to Gen 5. You can get a starter from each generation and I'm pretty sure Luxray is a dark/electric type(as it should be)
A bit late, but Pokemon AlteRed, a romhack of FireRed, had everything I ever hoped for- familiar settings, pokemons that look quite similar to the original but no one is who they look like they are, great dex entries and extra maps. A bit basic, yes, but that's what makes it good in my opinion. Try it out if you can find a download link!
Pokemon adventures red chapter is underrated. Post league it's a bit messy but the main story + side quests before the league is sooo good. It's my favorite rom hack til this day. I recommend it to everyone
I’ve actively been playing Pokémon rom hacks since 2011, before I spoke English, which made it very hard to find ones xD But now, I’m very confident in saying I’ve easily played every big rom hack out there, as well as smaller ones or old classic ones that were abandoned very early, the example coming to mind being Pokémon Crono. I’ve also tried a good amount of fan games back in the day and throughout the years, from old ones such as the Ranger EX, Super eevee edition to more newer ones like Insurgence, Uranium, Rejuvenation, the new adventures one. The Pokémon rom hack / fangame community is something I don’t think o can ever get tired of. Though, it has definitely gotten harder to find new rom hacks to play, but I’m always looking for something new. (if anyone knows any good ones, recommend them and I’ll see if I’ve touched it or not xD)
Bro play pokemon dreams,it has a new story, region, characters, many modern features like physical and special split and capture exp,the game has pokemon from gen 1 to 7 and has 30 fakemon also it has an amazing custom soundtrack,This game is very underrated it's One of the best out there yet almost no One talks about it,it is definetly better than sors and many others that are on the list.
@@isidoro19david65 Pokémon dreams was/is definitely one of the best rom hacks I’ve played in the recent years! I remember just the start of it making me love it xD I’m a sucker for Eevee as a starter/early on in most cases! Though most of it’s Eeveelutions aren’t great as shiny :( I have a hard time with Fakemon, mostly since they don’t always fit in with the actual Pokémon we have, but they can be done well in an entire fakemon game like Quartz, Topaz, Clover or Uranium (Though Uranium has actual Pokémon, it has more than enough fakemon being the most of what you find, they all fit together well instead of sticking out too much). Dreams has a good region and story to it, I’d have to agree in more people needing to play it
Pokemon Quetzal has to be one of my favorite emerald GBA romhacks. Overworld encounters only, a very intuitive and convenient breeding system, great dexnav system and much, much more.
Great video Zwiggo. Can't really agree with Unbound not being #1 but we all have a different taste and I haven't played rocket edition yet so who knows. Kinda sad you didn't include any gbc rom hack gems so I 100% recommend checking out pokemon Prism and pokemon fools gold, they might be the best gbc rom hacks out there and i'm 100% sure that you'll enjoy them, too ;)
Yeah, I enjoyed Unbound, but it was a bit underwhelming. The story was cheesy and repetitive, annoying even, and QOL aspects fell short of its potential. Would recommend it to anyone who hasn’t played it, but don’t let the hype influence your expectations.
I've been trying to remember insurgence for 2 months now but forgot the name but you saying it in the beginning of the video just made me remember. Thank you 👍
I recommend you take a look into pokemon: quetzal its a emerald hack that adds every mon from gens 1-8 (including the mons from PLA), follow pokemon, a swsh inspired wild system, a multiplayer feature and a ton of quality of life changes.
Team Rocket edition is a great game. Also the ending is perfect: power, but at what cost? You really feel alone in the game world and it feels empty itself too. Another good rom hacks are Gaia of course and the big one faithful to Pokémon Adventures.
I know it’s a fan game but would you ever play Pokémon reborn or rejuvenation. Super tough and long games but soo much fun. Story is amazing too. Would love to see you make a video on either one
Me personal favourite ROM hacks are Pokémon Blazed Glazed and Crystal Clear. I am not a completionist by any standard, but Crystal Clear got me to capture every Pokémon and Blazed Glazed to capture every available legendary. They will probably always be my favourites, since I haven't played in a while.
Don’t play blazed glazed it uses an old version of Pokémon glazed, Pokémon glazed has been officially updated since and is now the most bug free version
Pokemon glazed, Pokemon adventures red chapter and Pokemon sors are my favorites as they have a story of their own and a really good one on top of that
You gotta love how the majority of these romhacks only are romhacks because they build up from a pre-existing engine. Because some of them developed so much from the base games when they don't start from scratch that they could as well be their own fangames.
Your footage from Unbound seems to be from a pretty old version of it! Unbound just got updated yesterday - you might want to give it another go, if you have time!
17:43 (POKEMON FIRE RED ROCKET EDITION SPOILERS) Not exactly. Yes, Missingno is an extreme danger, but that's because you woke it up in the first place in order to have a chance at beating Red.
I just discovered Pokemon Emerald Rogue which is a run based, procedurally generated, roguelike Pokemon game. It's almost a nuzlocke, your Pokemon do die, and it's replayable af. Shinies are increased highly and you unlock a zafari zone which you can go between runs to catch Pokemon you had in-run, including the shinies, and start a new run with any of those
Great List Zwiggo 🔥 But I didn't play Pokemon Next gen because I can't afford device that let it run.... But Now I'm trying my best to get my device.... 💙 BTW Love From India ♥️
What about Pokémon Emerald Kaizo? That doesn't count...? I love thst we have all Pokémon and evolutions without the need of another person...and dunno if this was available a yesr sgo but the new Emerald Run & Bun seems like many enjoyed because of it's specific design to make the player enjoy each and every battle as a challenge
Im personally loves the pokemon unown hack, what is just firered but for each save the pokemon encounter and battle changes completely (tyle theme of course)
when i was younger n roms first came out i started working on "Pokemon Mt.Olympus" with mythical god theme where climb mt olympus n the main gods only use god pokemon. seemed like such an amazing concept(n still does tbh) but i just dont have the time these days
I really hope you play Pokemon Soulstones one day. It's a criminally overlooked fangame that not many RUclipsrs have played. It has the BEST story I have ever seen in a Pokemon game. It also has over 200 regional forms with some really cool designs.
Almost finished with Pokémon Emerald Kaizo… if you’re not familiar with it I would highly recommend. Basically emerald but difficulty turned from a 2.5 to a 8.5
Just played my first rom hack ever and had the time of my life. As an og gen 1 and 2 connoisseur, Fire red rocket edition blew my mind. Completely exceeded my expectations
Blaze Black and Volt White 2 redux is honestly my favourite of all time, it's just Black and White 2 (my favourite Pokémon games) but bigger and better than ever, truly the definitive Gen 5 games and probably the best of any both official and ROM hacked games I've played on the DS.
Also owning it on cartridge like I do makes it infinitely more convenient to play, at least imo. And being able to trade to my official gen 5 games is great because I can transfer the mons I get in the ROM hack to Bank and HOME. Since it being on actual hardware let's me connect in the Union Room lol.
Zwiggo i recommend two Rom hacks called pokemon voyager and pokemon enhanced emerald! Is really good and fun to play In pokemon enhanced emerald there are achievements, endings, and own story You can join teams and even more! In pokemon voyager there is lots of custom options, own quests even charisma options

What's the best and safe way to get all these Pokemon games on pc?

If you like Drayano hacks, you gotta give Renegade Platinum a shot. It's my favorite ROM hack I've played so far, and the game has so many possibilities from the standpoint of different runs you can attempt. There's also a mod for it called 'Following Platinum' thats cool, it feels like the gen 4 experience Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl just couldn't provide.
He already played it. I think he did a shiny only playthrough and a playthrough with Cyrus's team.
@@johnf6263 and he played it gor 100 hours
@@johnf6263 Ahh I'm gonna have to give that video a look! I think it's the best of his hacks, but I'm really looking forward to Sacred Gold 2
Following Platinum was actually made for the normal Platinum version, it just so happens that it doesn't conflict with changes made in Renegade Platinum so it also works with that.
i cant play normal pokemon games anymore because of Drayano.. Blaze Black 2 Redux is my favorite of his
I'm surprised you didn't mention Crystal Clear. The work that went into that rom is absolutely ridiculous. Open world, level scaling, being able to evolve everything, the level of customization, and so much more 🙌
Bruh game is fine but only until the point where you start seeing creators self inserts do not steals and bland racism toeards asian people
It gets boring not having to grind for as much freedom in that game as normal.
Here you go:
"Origins Trilogy"
- Pokemon RocketEdition, RedChapter, AshGray
"Resolute Trilogy"
- Pokemon Resolute, Nameless, Mega Power
"Sweet Trilogy"
- Pokemon Gaia, Flora Sky, Blaze/Glazed
"Advanced Trilogy"
- Pokemon CrystalClear, Emerald Theta Rev, Light Platinum
"Dark Series"
- Pokemon Dark Rising, Dark Rising 2, Order Destroyed, Dark Rising 3
...and lastly there's the "Fakemon Triology"
- Pokemon Uranium, Pokemon Snakewood, and Pokemon Clover
PS: I haven't played the Rom Hacks of Pokemon Unbound, Pheonix Rising, and GS Chronicles as discussed by other commenters.
Pokémon adventures chapter red is one of the most underrated rom back , great battle and story mechanics and good sidequests.
there's too many fakemon in red chapter tho
it's the best one for me
It's a mess is what it is. And had a number of questionable design choices that kinda bring the hack down.

Seen so many unfamiliar ROM hacks in this video, I wanna try them 🙃
aaaaaaaaa glaze and light platinum really is the best!
had more fun in light platinum than other games. specially the legendary hunt
The Arceus in Light Platinum is beast
Liquid crystal was my first rom hack and holds a special place in my heart. Loved Zane and axel as rivals
Liquid Crystal is great! Copped a hard copy at a local retro game store.
Wow, very different list than the one I had anticipated. But as someone who gets easily bored of catch-em-alls and the Dreyano-like hacks, I’m not surprised. Still respect it though Zwiggo! Here’s my list, as someone who prioritizes a good story mostly, rom hacks and fan made games included:
1. Pokémon Reborn (surprisingly hidden gem)
2. Pokémon Insurgence
3. Pokémon team rocket edition
4. Pokémon red adventures
5. Pokémon Unbound (amazing, if a little overhyped)
6. Pokémon Rejuvenation
7. Pokémon Gaia
8. Pokémon blazed glazed
9. Pokemon Sors
10. Pokemon Light Platinum
If anyone’s got any good story hacks, I’d love to hear some more!
Bro play pokemon dreams it is a hack with a focus on the story, characters and worldbuilding, it's criminally underrated.
Your list content and reason was similar with my note for "Good Story Romhack" 😂
I'd like to suggest you DarkViolet.
Pokemon Unbound is probably my favorite. I've played threw the Elite 4 like 200 times and I have like 200 hours looking for every shiny
I used to play Ultra fire red on GBA emulator on my phone and it was so much fun, the amount and availability of pokemon makes it so easy to beat the game with completely different teams.
Definitely one of the better roms I've played
The feeling when you're early but don't know what to comment 💀
😭
If you havn’t played it yet, then Pokemon Fool’s Gold is great.
Mostly the same story as the original gen 2 but 2 new cities in Johto & a whole new region all its own as well.
Currently playing infinite fusion which is as fun as it can be cursed. The fusion mechanic is incredibly fun and adds a level of customization but also fun when you're trying to guess what the heck the person you're battling is going to use next!
Infinite fusions is a fan game not Rom hack.
Pokemon Clover is an actual masterpiece. Even discounting the toilet humor and all that, that game is unbelievably well done
Crystal Clear is my favorite Romhack, because two features, the open world and the following Pokémon, you can freaking hug your Pokémon.
(There's also a lot of hackroms that I like, but crystal clear is my favorite).
Also the goat title screen theme song 🔥
honestly i was feeling dissapointed that i wasnt seeing team rocket edition at the start considering how u mentioned that u liked hearing backstories until i saw you put it at number 1. ngl its the best rom hack of all time, to me and whenever i play something else i compare it to that
I just recently got into rom hacks, and they kind of blew my mind. It's crazy how good some of these games are.
Which is your favorite
A wonderful list a few of them in here I was pleasantly suprised on your taste in rom hacks zwiggo. I got some new ones to play now because of you. Thank you you absolute LEGEND of a person.
Light Platinum is super underrated as well, though other newer ROM hacks are just that much better, so it's understandable.
Pokémon Clover
If you can go through the 4Chan humor *which at this point just adds to its charm* you are rewarded with a challenging, unique, Funny, and with how much content there is, a experience no other Rom could replicate in my opinion
Yeah pokemon clover is cool
Despite coming from 4chan its a very high quality rom hack
@@oliverrepp131 if only 4chan was as good as clover
@@TheLudicrousLuv Eh. While Clover 'came out of' that platform, Clover's devs and the platform itself are two incredibly different things.
I'm really looking forward the top fangames! I love this kind of showcase top where the youtuber actually gives an opinion and shows picked samples. Instead of lazy videos showing the game intro/tutorial with loud electro music and no voiceover. So thank you for that. And among the good videos, yours is very good !
Pokemon adventure red
Pokemon glazed would definitely be in my list
Both are soo good.
Especially because glazed was my 1st rom hack 😌
Thanks for making this video!
I was literally having a mini crisis for a while about thinking about what rom hacks to play
4:48 That neat little reference to "Supporting Me" from Sonic Adventure 2 genuinely made my day
If you like GS Chronicles, the game which inspired that creator is called Dark Violet by Chaos Rush. Also excellent and highly recommended.
True. DarkViolet have a very interesting storyline
Pokemon unbound was my first major rom hack. Honestly it's probably my favorite with just how much new stuff it did and just the actual effort in the story compared to mainline games. I played originally over a year ago but when it got the update for I think 2.0 it added so much. This is what pokemon should strive to be
How do you get the full game? I can only find the demo..
@@Eustaphios21 In the pokecommunity forum
@@TheLucas9d Figured it out. Thanks
True
Unbound is honestly overrated, the plot is edgy and the game mechanics are honestly too simple and boring; no challenging puzzles nor pokemon battles memorable
one year later and its still the best list on RUclips. thank you so much.
Pokémon Clover 🍀. Why no one is talking about the most based and humorous ROM hack of all? Just by having Blobbos should be number 1
... Pokemon fans are such garbage 🗑️🤢
Well you can try fire ash
Please play pokemon infinite fusion, it’s a rom hack where you can fuse whatever pokemon you want with over 27000 custom pokemon sprites. it also has both kanto and johto, a new story, and so many quality of life features
Mine is Ruby Destiny 2 and 3. The former is like PMD and the third is masterful storytelling (and how it ties to the first two RD games).
I played Unbound as my first Rom Hack and now i can't fully enjoy any other hack since they can't compete with the creativity and freedom of unbound
Try it out if you can find a download link!
can these game be played on phone
@@broccoliman5003 Yes...With an emulator
Pokemon adventures red chapter is underrated. Post league it's a bit messy but the main story + side quests before the league is sooo good. It's my favorite rom hack til this day. I recommend it to everyone
I’ve actively been playing Pokémon rom hacks since 2011, before I spoke English, which made it very hard to find ones xD
But now, I’m very confident in saying I’ve easily played every big rom hack out there, as well as smaller ones or old classic ones that were abandoned very early, the example coming to mind being Pokémon Crono.
I remember just the start of it making me love it xD
I’m a sucker for Eevee as a starter/early on in most cases!
Though most of it’s Eeveelutions aren’t great as shiny :(
I have a hard time with Fakemon, mostly since they don’t always fit in with the actual Pokémon we have, but they can be done well in an entire fakemon game like Quartz, Topaz, Clover or Uranium (Though Uranium has actual Pokémon, it has more than enough fakemon being the most of what you find, they all fit together well instead of sticking out too much).
Dreams has a good region and story to it, I’d have to agree in more people needing to play it
What is your list of top 10 rom hacks?
Thank you 👍
My fav has to be gbc crystal clear. The open world nature as well as the fact I can get all the pokemon by my self
The title theme also goes crazy 🔥🔥🔥
@@TheBBCSlurpee mm3 title theme is why yes
I recommend you take a look into pokemon: quetzal its a emerald hack that adds every mon from gens 1-8 (including the mons from PLA), follow pokemon, a swsh inspired wild system, a multiplayer feature and a ton of quality of life changes.
Team Rocket edition is a great game. Also the ending is perfect: power, but at what cost? You really feel alone in the game world and it feels empty itself too.
Another good rom hacks are Gaia of course and the big one faithful to Pokémon Adventures.
The fact that you showed Inclement Emerald in the opening but didn't mention it is, in my opinion, almost criminal.
I tried the game earlier but felt it gave too many items to the point where it wasn't fun...unless there's a way to turn that off which I didn't see
I know it’s a fan game but would you ever play Pokémon reborn or rejuvenation.
Where can I download them?
I didn't download them, I played them on a website called arcadespot.
Can I aplly my old saves to it?
Yes
@@jiri6691 Depending on how old the save is, yes or no. What's your current version?

Not exactly.

Thank-you for actually making a good video. Plenty people posted rom hack videos and its jus fast gameplay and zero explanation. Again Thank-you
Almost finished with Pokémon Emerald Kaizo… if you’re not familiar with it I would highly recommend.
I'm honestly surprised that Blazed Glaze wasn't mentioned on this list
Zwiggo i recommend two Rom hacks called pokemon voyager and pokemon enhanced emerald! Is really good and fun to play
In pokemon enhanced emerald there are achievements, endings, and own story
You can join teams and even more!
In pokemon voyager there is lots of custom options, own quests even charisma options
I appreciate that you had a lot of games that were the best rom hacks for a base version. So many other videos are slightly based game but in reality is just a complete change new game.

Pokemon Unbound is by far my favourite.... In terms of pure competitiveness, Pokemon Radical Red Hardcore.... Btw kinda bummed me that you didn't add the old but gold ones (Light Platinum and Glazed)
