Never heard of MGM pipes. Will look that up. Great great job rebuilding that stem, Tim! We're you using a black rubberized CA Glue, like the IC-2000 Rubber-Toughened CA Adhesive Glue by Bob Smith Industries? Have you found that you like G-flex more than the CA Glue you were using?
@@LifeWithAPipe The CA glue can develop voids if you aren’t careful. I still use it but the g-flex is growing on me. I haven’t heard of the rubber toughened CA clue. I’ll have to investigate that. Thanks for watching.

Great looking pipe, I had to look up the maker. It looks like that bit is the style of MGM. Thanks for sharing.

I appreciate you watching. Thank You
A tiny bit of darkening but it goes with the character of the pipe!
@@PaladinPiper
I agree. Thanks for watching, buddy.
I noticed right after you wiped off the extra dye you went for the heat gun. Does adding heat help set the dye?
@@robertcornelius3514
Yes, drys and sets the dye. Thank you for watching.
You sure have patience when it comes to restoration and it shows in your work.
