Just had a very nice chap fly from Ireland to Birmingham Airport, catch the train to Birmingham Station then catch train to kidderminster. Just to buy my motorcycle. He then rode it all the way to liverpool , onto ferry and back to ireland . Now that's what you call a good buyer. 🇬🇧
Wow he really must have wanted it! Sometimes you just know it's exactly what you are looking for. Guess when someone makes that much effort you can't really change your mind 😁
The availability of motorcycles in GB is vast compared to any options on the island of Ireland. Often makes sense doing the travel to purchase vehicles as the prices are cheaper even with the ferry crossing factored in.
Hi Emily and Sean again, thanks for another great upload. I would love if you had your uploads numbered, Day #1 , Day #2 etc., as I prefer to follow it day by day in chronological order. Your uploads are created so well that it would actually make a great tv show, honestly. Also, did you know that Sean is the Irish for John (just a piece of info. for you). Again thank you both for the best travel vlog in all of RUclips. Now I have to look for Day 2!!!!!!! I have watched some already but prefer to watch them in Chronological order. Anyways, thanks again and love with hugs from Ireland xx
Hi Kate! Thanks very much and always nice to hear such kind feedback. Yes, my parents liked the Irish spelling of Sean so gave me that 😊. All of the episodes are out into a playlist in order. If you watch them from the playlist RUclips will continue to play them in order. Once we have finished adding to the playlist we might add the numbers to the first line ##of##. It's so great you showed the ferry too because I really love ferries (getting the ferry from Denmark to Iceland next year) and hardly anybody ever shows them, just getting on and off again.
Yeah the Island section of the tour is going to be awesome, we were blessed with incredible weather and Ireland was spectacular! Great to hear you are on tour and enjoying the Alps!! Have a great ride and catch you later 😎👍
Lovely video guys! As for the prices I was relived it's not as expensive as here in Norway. The most British response to a hotel room I've heard. Not mentioning the view, the decor or the lovely bed, but it has a kettle! 😊 (I think you're from Switzerland, regardless it was a fun moment for me) Thank you both for the video, subscribing and looking forward to the next episode. Hi Jon, i think we spent less money when we did our tour to the Nordkapp (Heading North Playlist) last year than we did for 4 weeks in the UK and Ireland! Haha indeed the worth of a kettle is priceless! We live in Switzerland but we are British 😊 If we remember rightly Norway was also very good at providing kettles so we can visit again sometime 😄. We have done 35,000km in the last 14 months on our R1250 GSA and all of it has been documented on this channel from the day we picked it up until today. The only issues we had had is the passenger foot peg rubber has come off and the SOS warning system has an error message but I'm told this needs a software update so not a big deal. Things have shot up in price in Ireland, but to see you to on tour is priceless. Drink plenty of fluid when your on a boat , no Sean not Rum, Emily you can have a beer Lol .

Absolutely love Ireland, hotels can be pricey, best to look at Airbnb's, you can get some for £100 /night. How did you manage to find a ferry crossing that expensive? We went on the first of July, ferry was £114.75 return (£57.37 each way). Lucky you had nice weather, the day we did Dingle Peninsula, Slea Head drive and the Ring of Kerry it rained for most of it but still had stunning views. When were you in Ireland?
Yeah Ireland is a special place, we loved it too. We tend to book hotels a couple of hours before we need them and only ever stay 1 night, we find Airbnb's often require more notice and charge a cleaning plus we have had then cancelled last minute in the past so we don't bother with them any more. But this place was a hot spot so i guess it was kind of normal for the area. Regarding the Ferry, we needed this date so didn't really have an option plus we weren't able to book it so far in advance. This entire Heading West Playlist was filmed in May this year (statistically the driest month of the year) but we were very lucky with the weather.
Inside the "yellow line" is a 2m or 3m wide hard shoulder on the N (NATIONAL) or R (rural) roads. You can pull in and park on the hard shoulder. But we Irish often pull in to same to let others pass on the carriageway as necessary. It's only a courtesy. Thank the pandemic for the high cost of accommodation which nearly bankrupted the hotels. ☘️☘️
Thanks for the info, yeah we saw people pulling in and wasn’t t sure what it was used for, very courteous 😊👍🏻. Ahh yeah, I’m guessing a lot of hotels also closed for good which is why there wasn’t so many possibilities. Hopefully things will pick up again for them. 👍🏻
You wear these interesting NECK-BREAK Helmets... Similar helmets got banned in Gemany..since the 1970s....after a lot of fatality incidents...specially with the long sun visor. The Human bone, the spine and muscles can no cope with the force, from these helmets. In the worst situation..your neck will break.Lucky, if you can survie a lifetime in a wheelchair. "But, everyone can choose his own faith"
What on earth are your talking about? I can assure you these helmets are legal in the entire world. There is little to now force exerted on the neck as the air flows through the peak and after at least 40,000km wearing this style helmet i can confirm zero strain. Also how strong do you think the peak is? In a fall the peak will be breaking straight off like it's been designed and tested to do. Imagine if you are right and all this time wearing airbags what we should have been worried about is the flimsy piece of plastic on our helmets. 😂
Emily ; so your sea sickness means that you will not spend 2 days on a ferry to Iceland , that we will do from the 6th of august to the 8th ? 🫣 Nice v-log and information 🙌

Ahh okay, yeah we saw lots using it to have a stop etc so wasn’t sure of it’s use 👍🏻 Thanks
Not true. The hard shoulder is for breakdowns and to pull in and stop. Not so on a motorway.
The white line lanes are for pulling over to allow overtaking .
