I made this deck months ago and play Alex instead of Yogg, mulch and Mire keeper instead of doomsayer. I've got a 75% winrate at ranks 10-Legend. The easy answer is Yes, Alex is better, for your reason and for against aggro, however no one can presume how well or poor Yogg will do. I'd say Yogg is more fun, for some, and Alex is a bit more refined.

This deck isn't up to par with other wild decks. Wild is home to the dankest of aggro decks, combo decks, or at least this one, won't stand too much of a chance.
O Pritchard I played this deck like in december and faceless was very useful sometimes to kill my opponent (and dont die the next turn). And toast needs 3 spells each time he tries to otk, with faceless only two (same nb of cards)
It's a personal choice on how you like to pull off the combo, personally I think it's actually quite good but then again, otk Druid is the exodia of hearthstone so setup is the key. U have to consider that the possibility of faceless being ur last card is possible. So it comes down to the question of whether ur willing To put ur faith in a greater combo

Hey @diguised toast i have played this deck in the season before the nerfs and i hit rank 6. i have some problems of draw consistency with the malygos version so i used the cthun one but i will give malygos a try. any replacements for yogg and tip?
I play a variation of this deck with Faceless and alexstraza. Although I don't think the Alex is necessary. It was so I could kill them by aviana → kun → malygos → faceless malygos → alexstraza opponent → Starfire. But I don't the alexstraza adds much and I'd be better off running more spells and defense.

I play the C'thun version, but I don't put coldlight or innervate in it. Nothing is sweeter than dealing 50+ damage to your opponent's entire board, while also killing them in the process. I also think I have yet to lose to a Reno mage.
Did Amnesiac play this to legend for Hafu 2-3 months ago when she was asking his help in constructed? It's a fun deck, no doubt, may craft a couple legends and try it out.
face hunters could do that in the past. stupid undertaker was batshit broken and the lists that didn't run Leeroy just ran a couple of pre-nerfed arcane golem instead, and Oil rogue was also sued to reahc legend in the past before Blade flurry was nerfed, that deck literally used NO legendaries and only 2 epics in preparation, the rest were commons and rares it was super skillful to play and really fun but then Blizzard killed blade flurry

Gonna be honest...its hard for me to see Druid doing well vs Shaman....yes Yogg can bail you out but I disenchanted my Yogg when he got nurfed and honestly don't regret it since only one time I played it did it actually help and every one of the other times it gave my opponent lethal or made it impossible for me to win.....(Casting Windfury, Blessing of Kings and Ancestral Spirit on the enemy Ysera can do that.) But yea if you can think of a card that won't lose you the game that can replace Yogg in this deck I think it's sokething I'd try.

I'v got a screenshot of a game, when i was rogue and after my turn 4 i saw Aviana > Kun > Bran > Oracle > Disciple of C'thun > Cthun. I lived on few hp but he lost next turn (he was low, yeah, aggro).
I never liked playing Druid. And then came Toast with his OTK Druid or Ramp Druid they are just a hell lot of fun besides being quite competitive. thanks Toast!

Georg B It is still strong in wild, with even more tech choices you can make. Most people say they dont want to craft it because they are never going to play wild but why does it matter so much where you ladder? Just try to have fun and if you want to play this deck go for it. Did the same thing with kazakus even though reno will leave the meta and it is unclear if there will be good enough replacements to justify any deck running it. With kun its pretty much in a similar spot probably more likely to fit into the next meta

what about alexstrazsa instead of yogg? I think alex helps a lot when you lack some burn when you consider that she becomes 1 mana with aviana.

I've been playing this deck for weeks now, only thing different about my deck is that there is also faceless manipulator (-1x Azure drake)

The list with jade idol iv dubbed MalyToast and I use that one, since it was the first version of this list.

You may also sacrifice a goat or something to Yogg-Saron, our Lord of RNG, to give you double legendary Packs.
