Blizzard: "This Holy Wrath + Molten Giant Combo is too powerful! We need to weaken it! Let's make Molten Giant a 20 Mana minion instead! That'll teach those Paladin players!" Every Handlock player's hopes after seeing this combo.
It's called random variance. You draw hemet last always, so that means Toast draws it first always. See how it evens it up? I get the feeling that happens to me with every RNG deck.. :)
wait now i am confused... if he uses both wraths on his opponents face its 100% lethal. i wouldnt even have noticed without your comment tbh. so he just did that for the lolz right?
me and my brother played this deck at launch. We found out that it works realy good in an aggro palladin. You have good card draw with divine favor and if you lose the combo you can still try and win the old aggro way. It also works beter against warrior because they probably won't stay above 25 health.
I will never cease to be amazed at how your mind works, I spent time trying to figure out a combo that worked with Hemet, this never even occurred to me. And it's..... Beautiful.
just use 1 holy wrath? if you havent drawn it until hemet, you have a 33% chance of drawing it directly, with a 100% kill chance. (=33%), if you draw a giant, you then get a 50% kill chance. if you have drawn it already, you have a 100% kill chance. if you use 2 holy wraths: -you havent drawn any of them so after hemet you have a 50% chance of drawing it and a 50% kill chance (25%, less than 1holy wrath strategy) -if you have drawn 1 already, you have a 33% chance of killing your opponent when using it (same as 1holy wrath strategy), if it fails, aka you draw a holy wrath, you draw another for a 100% chance to kill -if you have both drawn, you have a 100% kill chance, but requires 2 cards in hand until then instead of one, 1 more card draw = higher chance to draw a giant too. all in all i think the 1holy wrath strategy is slightly better. it can get the kill 1 turn faster with slightly increased probability. 2holy wrath is only better when you reach round10+ as you can double cast there.
If you helmet by turn 9 with one holy wrath in your hand you will have enough mana to cast both holy wraths, so if you use holy wrath and you get holy wrath you will be able to cast it again and there is a 100% chance of getting the molten giant
Other people clibing ladder: I will use this deck because it has consistancy and high winrate Toast: This experimental unconsistent deck looks good to reach legend
Also 1:54, it was greater than 2/3 chance, the 1/3 chance you draw molten giant also has the 1/2 chance of drawing the other giant with the holy wrath in hand. 5/6 chance
Yeah, but if you pull both giant u could be in a bad position with low hp and you can concede. In case of this you just put it back and win the game (Kappa)
Several reasons not to: 1. Madam Goya costs over 3 mana, so Hemet doesn't get rid of her. You will risk holy wrathing for 6 damage. 2. Molten Giant is ridiculously difficult to play out normally, and if you do manage it, you are probably too low HP to survive the round. 3. On the rare occasion you don't die after playing out Giant, you will need 6 mana for Madam Goya, and 5 mana for holy wrath. You can't do this without forcing yourself to save the coin. 4. Madam Goya would be a useless draw in basically every other situation. There are probably even more reasons than this, but this should be enough to convince you that it is a really bad idea.
Here's an idea for the next Tavern Brawl. It's called "Russian Roulette". Players start with 25 HP, every turn you get Holy Wrath and your deck contains only Molten Giants and Wisps (15/15). Or maybe it will have a little bit different rules, but I think you'll get the point. Anyway, I would love to try that!
Even though some quests are pretty annoying, I love how this meta is allowing some underrated cards to shine, or at least show up more (like Al'Akir, Moroes, Stonetusk Boar, etc)
At 2:55 there's the statistical trick that if you're 2/3rds of being wrong and the draw was wrong, you're statiscally better placed if you change your answer. So if you can, in that case, you should draw with the 2 mana minion before casting Holy Wrath.
Funny thing that when you go to your card collection and hover over Holy wrath, the description mentions the combo with molten giant. It reads : ''c'mon,......molten giant''. So the devs are very aware of this hemet/holy wrath/molten giant combo. ic no nerfs coming to that card. Prob also becuz its not that consistent.
I told to my friend about the Hemet + Molten Giants + Holy Wrath paladin deck yesterday, that we have to create and test it, and now you release that video :D:D:D Thats why I whatch you, you like strange decks and plays
Yup. The moment Trump mentioned the possibility for this deck to exist during his card review, I knew Toast was going to play it. And not only Toast. Not that I care. My One True Love - Exodia Mage - has iceblocks. Countered! P.S. In my mind this deck had only one copy of Holy Wrath, but, eh. Fine...
I get that. Still, if you have less than 10 mana, it's more of a liability. ... eh, I'm not sure which variant works better. Don't know, don't care. I'll always end up drawing both giants before Hemet anyway.
but you play quest hunter, RIP you. all jokes aside, you dirtyratting a giant really puts a lot of pressure on you. especially since hunter doesnt have good removal besides hunter's mark.
I've always loved Freeze Mage. Pretty much the very first "serious" deck I've ever made. And Exodia is, basically a Freeze Mage 2.0. The new and improved. I just enjoy the idea of seemingly doing nothing the whole game and then just suddenly winning. "What is she doing?", thinks the opponent. "Is she going to play minions at all? She hasn't attacked me once!" ... In reality it's more like "Oh, ok, sure, OTK, cool, Imma kill you first, tho", since everyone has Internet, but a girl can dream, right? I also find lobbing a billion fireballs at your opponent's face oddly satisfying. I also enjoy the safety of the Ice Block. If something ridiculous happens - I know I'll always have another turn (unless my opponents plays the Eater of Secrets, but that's pretty unlikely)
Siege Rodriguez however if you play Hemet on 6 you are not guaranteed lethal due to the 33% chance of drawing another holy wrath from the first and dealing only 5 damage, which results in a loss. since you Mulligan hard for both Hemet and holy wrath, I think the deck would be better with 1 holy wrath
+Wolfgang Wehle yeah thats the downside however if you saw his stream he only had one holy wrath most of the time which is the result of having 2 in a deck
Wolfgang Wehle You also miss the chance of pulling the real combos at 10 mana when you havent drawn any of the moltens or holy wraths, where a 50% chance to draw one holy wrath guarantees either 25 dmg or 30 dmg.
Jonah Dewing yes I realize that, however being able to kill the opponent on turn 7 is a lot more important due to the rapidity of the current meta. turn 10 can also be thwarted by a warrior armoring up, or a mage having ice block, but no one expects the turn 7 kill. due to the only prerequisite being the opponent at 25, the deck can be fine tuned by taking out a holy wrath, and adding all draw possible such as loot hoarder, novice engineer, and acolyte. Hemet is a legendary so you already Mulligan hard for the one of, and due to this Mulligan strategy having only 1 holy wrath is better
Just fought this deck for the first time today. Brillantly I was messing around with the Barnes/Y'Shaarj deck. Mine went off first but he had Equality/Wild Pyromancer in hand. I was sad. Then he played Hemet and his deck was down to three cards. Realastion dawned that I was part of a fully toastified game.
I did this with Murloc Paladin and it works pretty well even if you don't have the combo. Decent enough push to out tempo your opponent about half the time.
This man is a god damn genius. I'm over here thinking I'm clever with my C'thun Taunt Warrior, and here he is completely destroying everything I think I know.
Toast is a mad genius. I wish I hadn't dusted my molten giants...crafted one, built a Holy Hemet deck, got the combo ready, but when I summoned Hemet, my opponent conceded immediately. They'd seen the same video, apparently :)
with 3 cards left it's actually a 66% chance that doesn't go down to 50/50 because drawing a card doesn't change the probability of the second card being a molten giant
Bugged interaction: In activated Crystal Core and got Moroes on board. It is a 5/5 minion as he´s supposed to. Then I play Mirage Caller and he is summoned as 1/1. The 1/1 Moroes still summons 5/5 minions.
6:04 ~ There can be miracles when you believe, though hope is frail, it's hard to kill.. Who knows what miracles you can achieve, when you believe somehow you will.. You will when you believe.. ~
I thought maybe adding Madam Goya would allow placing a Giant back into the deck... But seeing as she wouldn't be destroyed by Hemet, that would just reduce the consistency even lower. (It'd still be an inconsistent mess either way, I guess) Pretty cool idea though!
It's not 66% chance for lethal when you have 3 cards in deck. It's 33.3% since 2 of them is the draw you dont want while the other is the one you want. So 33.3% chance of drawing lethal (you want to draw holy wrath, which is 1/3 chance of getting), if you get giant, then its 50% chance for lethal.
Hey Toast the chance of this happening is ridiculously small but when fighting Malchezzar, can you astral portal into Lorewalker Cho, give him an astral portal, and have him play Majordomo? What happens if you defeat ragnaros instead of malchezzar
when you have 3 cards in the deck while 2 of them are the molten giants your chance at winning is 66% or 2/4 assuming that you brought your opponent down to 25 health bcs if you draw the holy wrath your chance at winning is 100% this happens 1/3 of the times when drawing one of the giants your chance at winning is 50% which happens 2/3 of the time now multiplying and adding these events comes to 2/3 * 50% + 1/3 *100% ? makes sense to me at least
30% of the time, it works EVERY time.
Good Speech.
the last videos were really funny
keep it up this way!
Hey gimme dat
Disguised Toast that doesn't make sense
That dildo keeps distracting me 30% of the time, every time.

Every Handlock player's hopes after seeing this combo.
PerniciesNCS well blizz said that reverting back molten giant would kill the holy wrath deck
PerniciesNCS Nah, let's make it 15!
The deck existed before the nerf, reverting would just weaken it again. This was a thing back in beta, obviously mainly as a joke.
I hope so much :D
if they nerf molten giant again bet they will make it a 20 mana 5/5 or something
I tried this deck and I consistently drew my molten giants before Hemet
ajaxtaur I'm sure toast did too, but these are just the highlights
Why do you think he never left rank 4 in this Vid? He only showed the good ones lol xD
It's called random variance. You draw hemet last always, so that means Toast draws it first always. See how it evens it up? I get the feeling that happens to me with every RNG deck.. :)
You probably haven't spent enough money on the game to Draw Good Cards in Battles.
ajaxtaur
Thankfully we can address this problem by including Madam Goya in the decklist. :)
if i played this deck i would draw 2 moltens in turn 1
Yep they'd be in your opening hand, you'd mulligan them and they'd come right back.
Ace Reaction you can't do that.
IT JOKE
Magooster Fhjd AH PRETTY BOMBER HEAD
theminerofskulls ITS possible since ur cards back to deck and take it randomly but still the chance is so small but pwanhof did in his stream lol
I dub this deck. "Shotgun Paladin."
pls use this name
The sound and the animation of Hemet shooting your own deck is truly amazing.
Silith13 HAHAA THEY CANT RUN FOREVA
Toast is such a hero. He just saved Andrews account through the power of rng.
sam scholey rngesus gave him another chance
would they really ban someone for that exploit? I mean toast used it on ladder twice... nozdormu exploits were popular... would be overreaction
+MisterL2 what is the exploit ?
permanent shadow visions cycle to skip your opponents turn
Wait how did he know that its the deck that is being played?
Involuntary russian roulette with toast!
Quest Rogue getting a taste of its own medicine: Taking 25 damage for 5 mana.
You can tell which commenters play Pirate Warrior, they are the ones asking "Toast why not target the warrior's face with both Holy Wraths??!!!??!"
Hahahahaha the mentality and inability to understand.
wait now i am confused... if he uses both wraths on his opponents face its 100% lethal. i wouldnt even have noticed without your comment tbh. so he just did that for the lolz right?
he's suicidal thats all.
Like he said, it's Russian roulette. One draw killed either, one didn't kill anyone.
true but if he just wanted to win he could have done 1 dmg to opponent and then 3
This deck works 66% of the time...
...EVERY TIME.
but it's 67%...
but it's 66.7%...
but it's 66.67%...
its 66.66...%
HardBoiled they might have more then 25 health...
6:18 is the highest level of BM I have ever seen in ranked hearthstone
I remember watching that clip.
I only today, realized that he could have pointed both Holy Wraths at the Warrior...
Of course but would that have been fun? xD
yeah but where is the thrill in that? its Russian Roulette
Fuck Toast was even man enough to take the first bullet himself. And came out on top.
I was scrolling down to see someone explain to me why he had to Holy Wrath his own face first...
TheBlueToad! Why would you ever think otherwise?
I watched the whole stream and the opponent was playing along to get to that point in the game.
This fucking meta man, lmao
SciFi Soup the best meta
Mike Metcalf it's boarderline amazing
this is not a meta deck dude. It's garbage, but entertaining nonetheless
when someone plays a deck on stream and suddenly it's now meta :))))
SciFi Soup I mean I wish this was meta, would make getting to top 100 a joke
I didn't realize what toast wanted to do in that last clip until he did... what a fucking legend
Quit hearthstone about a year ago, watching this video is the first time I'm seriously feeling an urge to play again. Brilliant combo. :D
That last play was really like playing Russian Roulette... only with a double barrel shotgun.
me and my brother played this deck at launch. We found out that it works realy good in an aggro palladin. You have good card draw with divine favor and if you lose the combo you can still try and win the old aggro way. It also works beter against warrior because they probably won't stay above 25 health.

Nuno Fonseca Unless you saved the coin and can make it until turn 10
Nuno Fonseca good point. hadn't thought of that
?

Toast: This experimental unconsistent deck looks good to reach legend
This combo is insanely inconsistent, but it's fun. Reminds me of old school Dracosplosion in MTG.
Toast used a couple different variations in this montage, I am running:
1x Forbidden Healing
2x Meanstreet Marshal
2x Smuggler's Run
2x Equality
2x Grimstreet Outfitter
2x Aldor Peacekeeper
2x Small-Time Recruits
2x Holy Wrath
2x Runic Egg
2x Doomsayer
2x Loot Horder
2x Novice Engineer
2x Wild Pyromancer
2x Acolyte of Pain
1x Hemet, Jungle Hunter
2x Molton Giant
I guess he was referring to the Dracosplosion List ;)
Also 1:54, it was greater than 2/3 chance, the 1/3 chance you draw molten giant also has the 1/2 chance of drawing the other giant with the holy wrath in hand. 5/6 chance
Does Madam Goya fit in the deck? If you pull the giants to early you can put the back
The Problem is if he has Goya in the deck his combo is less effective. You dont automatically get the 25 Molten Giant..
another problem is that you have to play the one molten giant and its really expensive in most cases
Yeah, but if you pull both giant u could be in a bad position with low hp and you can concede. In case of this you just put it back and win the game (Kappa)
Several reasons not to:
1. Madam Goya costs over 3 mana, so Hemet doesn't get rid of her. You will risk holy wrathing for 6 damage.

There are probably even more reasons than this, but this should be enough to convince you that it is a really bad idea.
So RUclips decided to recommend this video....ah. I miss the old hearthstone days.
Loved the russian roulette play, respect.
After seeing the thumbnail, i was like OH MY GOD OF COURSE!!! It's so obvious when Toast puts it together.
You are a legend, dude.
Damn why did you have to make a video about my favorite deck from Ungoro. Now it's not as hipster and people will expect it more. Great vids though :D
Chienergy not his deck
Ege Kement he never said it was
It is his deck actually. favorite deck.
One of the best HS videos i ever seen. This deck looks FUN AF
Hearthstone at its purest - a 50/50 coin flip
That last match was such a bold display of showmanship. Kudos.
Anyway, I would love to try that!
what an original name
That last clip remains to this day the greatest hearthstone clip of all time, hands down
Toast is one of the best player in this game and not people who get legend with pasterino decks
I need some advice on building this deck. Any good replacements for these cards?:
Molten Giant x2
Holy Wrath x2
Hemet, Jungle Hunter
i love that last game xD cant believe he did that
Enjoying the Legacy Manor so far?
I love the challenge of building this deck. Stall like a freeze mage using only 3 and below cost cards. Good work.
I wonder how many games you had to lose to get that footage.
alot
The end to this video really describes why I love Disguised Toast.
#SaveAndrew

why not just play 1 holy wrath?
Wolfgang Wehle the more you have the higher chance of drawing atleast one before you draw any molten giants

This deck took me 20 games to pull off, but it is SO satisfying when you actually get it XD
Toast, I love you man xD
Ahhh Toast, I was watching you play this deck on stream, congratulations on pulling off the combo after dozens of concedes.
I did this with Murloc Paladin and it works pretty well even if you don't have the combo. Decent enough push to out tempo your opponent about half the time.
This very morning, I thought of this combo. Then Toast put this video up....
I don't think I will ever get tired of that Hemet voice clip.
"I think the bullet's in the second chamber" famous last words
This man is a god damn genius.
I'm over here thinking I'm clever with my C'thun Taunt Warrior, and here he is completely destroying everything I think I know.
Anyone else feel this video was missing the DDR mat? Nothing quite beats the Toast jumping both footed onto the button for lethal.
Toast is a mad genius. I wish I hadn't dusted my molten giants...crafted one, built a Holy Hemet deck, got the combo ready, but when I summoned Hemet, my opponent conceded immediately. They'd seen the same video, apparently :)
I love watching toast because he loves playing hearthstone and doesn't care about wins. The last clip is amazing lol
when you go on a disguised toast old videos viewing spree and he releases a new one Kreygasm
with 3 cards left it's actually a 66% chance that doesn't go down to 50/50 because drawing a card doesn't change the probability of the second card being a molten giant
Toast is not the memer we deserve but definitly we need.
6:55; Those forking balls on Toast man, bet Atlas would have trouble just carrying one!
Wow...been here since 100k subs...but now 400k!? Grats my man :D
Bugged interaction:
In activated Crystal Core and got Moroes on board. It is a 5/5 minion as he´s supposed to.
Then I play Mirage Caller and he is summoned as 1/1.
The 1/1 Moroes still summons 5/5 minions.

One of the best, always looking for new ways to play. FUN FUN FUN.
One of the best hearthstone videos i saw in a while!
keep it up toast! really entertaining
Toast casually killing the combo decks he made famous last week... with a new combo deck
Toast is absolutely killing it on Twitch lately. Keep it up man!
5:26 what was that pause ? Oo
I wonder if this deck becomes more consistent with only 1 copy of holy wrath
We are all out here playing checkers while Toast is playing chess.
Now try shoveling The Ancient One to your deck with Madam Goya and then Hemet + Holy Wrath
I thought maybe adding Madam Goya would allow placing a Giant back into the deck... But seeing as she wouldn't be destroyed by Hemet, that would just reduce the consistency even lower.
(It'd still be an inconsistent mess either way, I guess)
Pretty cool idea though!
I can't imagine Hearthstone without Toast anymore. Best streamer by far
You saved Andrew, yeah.
The russian roulett thing let me laugh ^^
6:58 Incredible BM PogChamp
The Russian roulette at the end was definitely one of the most ballsy plays I've seen in Hearthstone.
Hey Toast the chance of this happening is ridiculously small but when fighting Malchezzar, can you astral portal into Lorewalker Cho, give him an astral portal, and have him play Majordomo? What happens if you defeat ragnaros instead of malchezzar
Literally the best hearthstone content producer out there
Just realised I’m eating toast while watching toast.
‘Oh’
Holy Jesus! How about putting some Madam Goya to shuffle topdecked moltens in the deck again? Will it improve the chances?
Every day that goes by makes me want to craft Hemet more.
One paladin tried this on me, his holy wrath drew another one and conceded
when you have 3 cards in the deck while 2 of them are the molten giants your chance at winning is 66% or 2/4 assuming that you brought your opponent down to 25 health bcs if you draw the holy wrath your chance at winning is 100% this happens 1/3 of the times when drawing one of the giants your chance at winning is 50% which happens 2/3 of the time now multiplying and adding these events comes to 2/3 * 50% + 1/3 *100% ? makes sense to me at least
