I never understood why American Auto Manufactures got flack for using stock interior things. Like you buy a Chevy... you get a Chevy radio, turn signal stalk, etc. They never set out to make 1 of 1 cars that were remnants of their make.
The SS model was a hoss, as well as the fourth generation Formula Firebirds and WS-6 Trans Am’s. To imply that only the reddest of the necks were familiar with these cars is a misconception. They looked tough in the most aerodynamic way a car could,, sounded damn good when you got into it and were fast enough to where if you weren’t careful, it could get away from you right quickly. @@clarkmiller287 lol, you're the only one in history then. They have issues from the first time you shut the door off the lot. @@clarkmiller287 also, the gears in the window motors were plastic and notorious for stripping. Could be fixed by swapping the plastic gears for metal nuts

You can't really expect much from 90s GM. the 90s were the ultimate decade of cheap plastics, yet they are EXPENSIVE. Me and my father replaced the dash in my 4th gen, and it cost 200$. 200$ for a literal slab of plastic.
I owned an SS and a WS6 back in the 4th gen era, the ram air was functional on both models, the air box was actually raised up and the hood directed the air to the raised intake portion of the air box.
Damn, Jeremiah has to be the most late 90s of the Donut hosts, from owning this car, having a case of CDs, to looking like both Mark and Tom of blink-182 at the same time

Adam Weaver won’t go 300k though I bet or not typically. I have one love it etc but the stronger the bottom end is the longer they last because of distortion imo. Or lack ther if that is.
The only reason it wouldnt is because im putting a cam and porting the heads lol. Theyre a good bottom end, obviously not as good as the ls but theres no reason an lt1 cant make 300,000 with good oil changes and keeping up on it. And obviously dont beat the fuck out of it every day.
Because manufacturers have figured out that people use mute and pause to achieve the same effect of temporarily making the sound cease. If that's the case it makes perfect sense for mute to also pause.
@@MrCHAMMOND .....the radio was designed in the 90s bro I cant think of a single car back then that had a pause feature that worked when you pressed mute.
@@AngryDogPerformance I didn't think he was expecting it in a 90's car, he just said it felt weird. Even today my 2017 camaro does not pause when you mute it. The functionality is not universally adopted.
I think the mute button was mainly meant for use w the radio as you can't pause the radio, and using the power button w the radio there'd be a delay B4 the radio caught a signal and came back on.
Nothing broke or breaks (easily) and only one stand out part is actually bad. Quality was not that bad... Except that 4th-gen F-bodies were slapped with GM's cost cutting cleaver and bad apples did crop up frequently, although most issues were easily fixed. Also try to be more specific Ford and Shocking Chrysler at the same time were their own issues and generally very good as good as the Japanese even if people though the Japanese were better made.

I never understood why American Auto Manufactures got flack for using stock interior things. Like you buy a Chevy... you get a Chevy radio, turn signal stalk, etc. They never set out to make 1 of 1 cars that were remnants of their make.
I wanted one back in the day...but those headrest-less seats will practically decapitate you from whiplash, in a rear-ender.
Just good ole American V8 sports car fun.
I couldn't have said it better!
I miss my 2002. If I find a deal on one, I’m gladly buying another. I only sold mine because it had 250k but it’s still out there running. And it’s still bad ass.

I drove one of these for nearly a decade. Very solid machine

Growing up a neighbor of mine had a red Z28. Even back in the late 90s and early 2000s I thought it was ugly. Now 20 years later and I"m not 5 years old anymore. It's actually a decent looking camaro. I was still more interested in the yellow Trans am my other neighbor had. I thought that was a better looking car, but it was a convertible.
in my 33 years on this earth i have never heard anyone call the catfish camaro the "worst camaro of all time". now the 5th gen aka flop gen, yes, ive heard that.
I love the 4th gens there my favorite car
There?
I instantly though of Alien's Camaro from Spring Breakers, gangsta style baby
I will admit the only thing I hate about the 4th gen Camaro is that they sound horrible stock, but as soon as it’s modded it’s perfect
i think the pre-facelift ones look pretty good
Personally I love it. The styling of the late 90’s and early 2000’s is my favorite.

ive got a 95 pontiac firebird essentially the same thing underneath just more bad shit crazy its got the fire hawk package and too our knowledge its 1 of 1 purple exterior grey interior with the pop up headlights
I still prefer the Trans Am

I'm a Fox Body Mustang guy. Love me my Mustang. But, there's literally nothing wrong with this car. At the time, it was badass...especially the SS. The looks aren't my cup of tea and the laying down driving position isn't my deal, but I think that's minor.
Same, I love Fox Body Mustangs, had this guy in a trailer park. He had a beautiful Blacked out SS with a red trim and my dad told me the guy's SS pushed up to 700 HP.

You can't really expect much from 90s GM. the 90s were the ultimate decade of cheap plastics, yet they are EXPENSIVE. Me and my father replaced the dash in my 4th gen, and it cost 200$. 200$ for a literal slab of plastic.

Yeah they are crazy reliable
Hey even the LT1s are reliable with an updated opti or the 24x coil packs like my firebird.

Why would "mute" pause? It says "mute".
Because manufacturers have figured out that people use mute and pause to achieve the same effect of temporarily making the sound cease. If that's the case it makes perfect sense for mute to also pause.
Code Code then just pause it
@@MrCHAMMOND .....the radio was designed in the 90s bro I cant think of a single car back then that had a pause feature that worked when you pressed mute.

The anger in his voice when he discusses the bubbling is how everyone feels about American car quality control
Na
Nothing broke or breaks (easily) and only one stand out part is actually bad. Quality was not that bad... Except that 4th-gen F-bodies were slapped with GM's cost cutting cleaver and bad apples did crop up frequently, although most issues were easily fixed. Also try to be more specific Ford and Shocking Chrysler at the same time were their own issues and generally very good as good as the Japanese even if people though the Japanese were better made.
