Dude, you hit the mark with this one. What brings me the most value from your videos is the amount of thought you give to those topics, correct me if I'm wrong but it really seems you are thinking very deeply about what you say here and give to us. + I confirm I have a very authentic feeling from this channel, my favourite part being the bloopers at the end of the video. I consider your channel one of the few I decided to give my time to watch.

It's an honor to be in the list of ''youtubers''. To be honest, I'm just starting out. It's akward looking back to my first video (coincidentally about authenticity). But YOU have inspired me to just start. And I just want to say THANK YOU for that! I consider it my duty to share the lessons I've learned so far with other people. That was my purpose to start. And for everyone who wants to start, but has some doubts. I would like to say: JUST DO IT. You have nothing to lose. Except for the regrets you will have if you don't. Keep it up brother, see you soon!

I figured it was a consulting job, since this salary is usually reserved for management positions!
I make 135k and I have a dozen I.T. Certificates and have 20 years experience. Problem is the I.T. Field is saturated and therefore puts a dampener on salaries!

    Key points:
    1. Why work as analyst if you can get paid for making videos. Especially if savings allows this type of life
    2. Reasoning behind decision - competition from third world and personal ''authenticity'
    My thoughts:
    1. Competition. I may be wrong, but Its relatively easy to learn tools and get into the field. Yet deep domain knowledge combined with mastery in several fields are quite rare and in high demand. Business can outsource low skill tasks to outstaff with ease, but what about key decisions, strategy, product development, marketing and lead positions roles? Could yours 6 years of experience be an advantage?
    2. Recent events showed the fragility of content creator position. Platform holds your fate in their hands. You or even entire countries could be easily demonetised.

Great content I agree with you 100%. Yes you might be in competition with others but if you are compensated enough and most importantly you are making a difference to someone’s life that is what money can’t buy and keeps you fulfilled. Not a 9~5 job that you meet certain targets so that you beat your competitors without making any difference to the world. Hope I’m making some sense lol.

Hey man, I just wanted to let you know that I binged your videos and this one really hit the mark. I recently started working for an EOR provider (if you don't know what that means, look it up) and I can really see how it helps globalize the hiring market. Unfortunately, it also comes with an erosion in worker protections. A lot of these EOR providers will only do the bare minimum they need to do in order to hire in a compliant fashion, and sometimes not even. Lots of employers are using EORs as a way to skirt around misclassification laws and from what I've seen, the worst is yet to come.

Isnt there something to scare away those mosquitos, like a certain scent, that just makes them turnaround. Perhaps essential oils (cedar wood oil could work i think or maybe pine wood oil), certain woods, or maybe certain candles or i dont know the english word but burning scent that gives smoke either a special wood or like those stick they use in some temples. Many insects avoid any kind of smoke, yet in thailand u probably need to be extra careful with candles and stuff outside of the rain period.

"Since i live in Holland, they really take a big cut of your salary". You should come to Sweden. Yearly salary for a Data Scientist with 5 years of working expereince and a masters degree (from the best universities in Sweden) makes on average 55 000 USD/year. On top of that, around 50% goes to taxes in various ways (VAT, tax on fuel energy food etc and normal tax). Sure we get our pension paid, sick leave etc but as someone who never get sick it's useless to me. Pension? Well, why can't I decide my self how to invest my pension money? In Sweden you get taxed for being taxed. There is no incentive to get a good education in Europe. Unless you happen to end up in quant finance in a huge bank, you're better of working shifts in a factory.

And that my friend, is why you become a freelancer. Control over your own money and pension
