Love Elvis
اعظم فنان على مر العصور لم ولن يتكرر الملك بدون منازع
He smiled a lot while singing! I think Elvis didn’t care how small or big his crowd was, he just loved singing!!
I am 71 & have to listen to Elvis at some point every day. Scotty Moore, guitar, & D. J. Fontana, using guitar box as drum, hadn't played with them in years. They were with him in early career starting out. No time to practice but it all just came back to them naturally. Charlie Hodge was playing guitar also. Elvis met him in the Army & Charlie was with him until his death. Scotty & DJ agreed to come only because it was Elvis! They both felt Tom Parker had broke them apart. Called the 1968 Comeback Special because after Elvis came out of the Army Parker had him in movies. When that contract ended he wanted to be back on stage singing before a live audience. It's hard to believe but Elvis was always nervous before he went on stage anywhere! It's almost like there were 2 Elvis's. The shy, introvert off stage & the extroverted, dynamic showman on the stage! We Elvis fans will love him forever! I'm so glad the younger generations are finding Elvis's God-given musical talent...a voice like no other. 🙏💕🎸🙏
Elvis' version of "Bridge Over Troubled Waters" is incredible! Some other powerful ones are "Just Pretend", "Bitter They Are", "Walk a Mile in My Shoes".....And possibly the most moving Elvis performance you can watch is his version of "Unchained Melody" - one of his last performances before he died and it's hard to get through without tearing up. Those are just to name a few, the list is endless!
Elvis knew every note his band played because he handled all the arrangements of every song he sang. He knew how he wanted each song to sound like, so as well as being the lead vocalist he also directed the band at the same time. He was simply amazingly talented with a charisma that gets you going every time, even by just standing there on the stage. Please please please find BRIDGE OVER TROUBLED WATER. He mastered it and made it his own, yet again stunningly.
The Energy of an Elvis performance could solve the World's energy crisis, 10 times over.
One of his best sessions.
He wanted the smaller where he could cut loose and just have fun.
What now my love - from the Aloha rehearsal is another great live performance
This was inspired by what Elvis would do after coming off of those big stages. There would be a jam session in his dressing room, and he would be so relaxed and funny. When this comeback event was in the works, it was suggested that they keep it intimate because that was when he was truly himself. I watched the comeback special when it aired. I was 13 and totally in love with Elvis!
I have always loved that sexy smirk he would get on his face… He was long gone when I developed my first crush, but it was him…
Elvis had so many dimensions. (His Gospel is some of the best ever recorded.) Always loved his rendition of this. Recorded about the same time as Mystery Train (another good one to check).
There's a whole back story about the "audience " the gist of it is Col. Parker didn't do his job distributing the tickets for the special (Parker didn't want the 68 special to happen) so, at the last minute the audience consisted of husband's, wives, and relatives of the people working there... As we all know it turned into a monumental success!!!!! I love "that's all right lil mama " song...thank you for this reaction 🙂
MORE ELVIS PLEASE!!!
How cool was he. He sang so many genres and seemed comfortable with all of them. 😂😂❤❤🤷♀️🤷♀️🙋🏼♀️🙋🏼♀️🙋🏼♀️
This is one that I don't think is played nearly as often.
It's one of his most upbeat! Love it!
If I can dream, it is also from the special.
That's Alright Mama is the first song that started Elvis's music career.
He loved to perform in front of his fans, but he was always very nervous, even in this small setting.
Trying to get to you from this special is another great song and video by my beautiful Elvis
If I'm correct this setting was for filming the show for TV. It was his celebration of coming back to his music after all his movie appearances.
I melt when he sings. My favorite song is Hurt.
Elvis invented swaggar.
He just loved playing for people. The number didn't matter. Him just sitting with his guys seems to be something he loves. I know you've heard Heartbreak hotel but the 68 come back special shows his humor.
My cousin that opened for Elvis in Las Vegas, Nevada knew Elvis pretty well. Elvis loved performing. Big crowds, small crowds, he didn't care. He loved entertaining people and bringing them together through the love of music. ❤❤❤
Again I’m sooo amazed to your reaction. More please 💕💕💕💕
Tq craig....
Love the reaction 😊 Elvis truly was, and still is head and shoulders over everyone ❤
Yes he just loved singing and just loved performing in front of an audience. He was so special!!! That charisma was unmatched and at the age of 70 I've never seen anyone else that just oozed that presence just standing on a stage.
Great reaction! Thanks for keeping Elvis Alive..You need to react to this same song ** 1970 ( That’s All Right rehearsal 2:00 ) he goes all out in his rehearsals as if he’s live on stage, it’s fun to see the behind scenes, having fun with his band… He has a lot of great rehearsals to check out 🔥🔥🎤🎸🎶🔥🔥
Go elvis go !!!
Elvis is so cool.
Love me some Elvis!
Can you find Bridge over Troubled Water. He performed it during his That's the Way It Is tours.
Watch the making of the 68 come back special you will enjoy it
He was not called the King for nothing... he could do any genre of music well. A showman like no other and a live performance is the best way to experience Elvis for sure
You need to watch the aloha from Hawaii concert also. "American Trilogy" and "I'll Remember You".
Everything about this concert is fantastic. You really can't go wrong with any song that Elvis sings.
Unbelievable truth … minutes before appearing for taping this song, Elvis told Steve Binder, director that he was overcome with stage fright and could not perform at all. He even forgotten all the songs, so Steve wrote some songs on a napkin and told Elvis he did NOT have to sing it he was in such a bad shape. Just go outside to say Hi and Good Bye since the musicians and audiences were waiting. Elvis went out to say good night and this happened instead. Read Steve Binder’s book. Unbelievable. Love Elvis forever.
Ah, that was a priceless and even historical video. This was when he returned from his army time and getting back in the public eye. BTW it's at the end of this little mini-concert that he sang his famous If I can dream.
Trying to get to you in this same 68 come back special, a must see!
Haven't heard this song for a long time, great reaction love it ♥️🙂
Great reaction. There were so many great ones from this jam session. Great ones are, "Trying to Get to you", and "One Night With you". And "Baby What Do you want me to do". Thanks I subbed.
Mama like the roses
This is my favorite Elvis song. Just love it. My 6 year old does too.
It didn't matter to Elvis he just loved to perform in front of a live audience.
The producer of the 68 comeback special (Steve Binder) came up with the idea.
You need to watch Steve Binder's documentaries about The comeback special.
You also need to watch Elvis sing trying to make it back to you and heartbreak hotel from the 68 comeback.
I was born December of 68. I’m hardcore Elvis lover. I’m American
You have to remember, at this stage of career Elvis had not sung in front of a live audience since his benefit show of 1961. This particular performance was part of a TV show filmed in a TV studio, which is why the live audience was so small. When it was televised on 3 December 1968 it gained one of the largest tv viewing audiences for the year.
The 68 Comeback was just that... Elvis had been doing movies for I think 8 Years His last was in 69 - Change Of Habit... But He wanted to get back to doing what He loved most and that was performing... and too He's back with Scotty Moore on stage.... I never KNEW this but Scotty Moore In an interview said He and Elvis were planning a European Tour -- Scotty had the Studio setup .. They were excited about it... But Scotty put like - Well, We know what happened after that... and that.... Last time Scotty saw Elvis was at Graceland them talking about it.... because Elvis was so Fired UP about the 68 Comeback
Finally..... thank you 😮
Awesome reaction my brother!! 🤜💥🤛
Great reaction thanks. You are so right: Elvis was in his element that June of 1968 when recording his TV Special which aired December 3 1968.
That TV Special became known as the Comeback Special because after years of acting in mediocre movies he performed in front of an audience again.
The Special was the best watched show in the US and it gave Elvis the final push of going back to live performances again and leaving Hollywood behind. Please react to Trying To Get To You from the same Sitdown Show from the 68 Comeback Special. Enjoy your Sunday!
Love your reaction 😊
❤❤❤❤❤❤
You should try IT'S NOW OR NEVER, or I CAN'T STOP LOVING YOU, or WHAT NOW MY LOVE, or one of his gospel songs HOW GREAT THOU ART. All brilliant.
Total classic Elvis. Have you see Elvis singing "Witchcraft" with Frank Sinatra?
HAHAHHA...LOL...this stuff would cause my mother orgasmic fits. Even watching it. I'm a bit caught up in it....
Dude, that whole thing...genie in a bottle....
There's talent and then there is talent.
All the best.
Cheers.
Elvis had a album called "Moody Blue" and the actual record itself was blue. "Moody Blue" was a song on this album.
you cant go wrong with ANY songs from the special but i agree with "trying to get to you" and "one night with you" ive been a long time fan of your reactions but this is my first comment.. Elvis will do that to you! thx for the reaction.
This was his 1st performance after making movies and he was just excited to be able to freely sing again. Priscilla was actually in the last row and it was her 1st time to see him sing in a performance. His manager was it to actually be a Christmas special and Elvis did not want to to that as it was made in June and he wanted to sing with his band mates.
Elvis was a homebody and loved playing but you nailed it he did not like the big crowd's he got very nervous.
When he was contracted to the movies obligations, he said he missed performing in front of a live audience
Still the KIng..
This was his first Regional Hit in 1954.

Unfortunately, this crowd came from tickets given out at a restaurant and I believe a last minute radio broadcast for anyone wanting to see Elvis sing to come to studio for free tickets. The Colonel Tom Parker did not want this sit down to happen he told Steve Binder he would take care of the people had him to give him all the tickets, when Steve was leaving the studio the gate guard asked him if he wanted a ticket, Steve thought he was joking until the guard showed him all the tickets. Steve immediately got on the phone called radio station and if I remember right went to Big Boy Restaurant and started handing tickets out. Please react to Trying to get to you from same concert.
You said you were looking forward to go on the Elvis trail, but you seem to have slowed down a bit! Any chance of some more from the King? IT'S NOW OR NEVER, or I CAN'T STOP LOVING YOU, or WHAT NOW MY LOVE, or one of his gospel songs HOW GREAT THOU ART
I’ve always been sad that I didn’t get the honor to share the earth with THE KING. He died 11 months before I was born. 😢
he always enjoyed the crowds...irrespective of the crowd size. the audience is larger than what you see here, but, the lighting directed to the stage......hides most of the people(as they wanted to 'highlight' Elvis).
His first recording on a 45.
Very nice review. Thanks. Maybe you could try -If I can dream. We get to see just how he can preform differently. { White suit version. Thanks again. 😊
It absolutely had to be a select group of women to not tear him apart. They were actually pretty well behaved. LOL
MORE OF 68 SPECIAL IS
GREAT... / TRYING TO GET TOU / I'LL REMEMBER YOU / TROUBLE / ENJOY ALL
YOU FIND BECAUSE THEY ONLY RELEASE CERTAIN AMOUNT OF LIVE PERFORMANCE. HIS CONCERTS WERE OF THE CHARTS.. TWO SHOWS A DAY VEGAS..
He had a real rasp/cry in his voice in 68/69. I see this time as being the time that he should have parted ways with Parker. Wish he had 💔
Will you please react to "steamroller blues " from aloha from Hawaii?
this was the last time he preformed with Scotty and D J
While Elvis appeared very confident and comfortable here, this show almost didn’t happen. Elvis suffered severe stage fright throughout his career. It was so bad on this occasion that he couldn’t/wouldn’t come out of his dressing room. The director, Steve Binder, said …. just do me a favour and go out there, even if all you do is walk out onto the stage, say good night and get off. Steve, bless his heart figured that as soon as Elvis got out there and saw his fans close at the edge of the stage he would not be able to let them down. There is footage from the first “sit down show where you see Elvis walk onto that small stage, hesitate for a brief moment before sitting down on his chair. A moment later he said good night and started to get up, before sitting down again and starting some banter with the guys on the stage with him.
You got gray hair, there's no way this is your first time hearing this song lol.
