Cyborg Noodle but the term “horse rider” suggests we just ride and that’s it. But an “equestrian” is someone who truly cares for their horse, loves it, works with it..... is part of a community.

Fun fact, the word equestrian relates back to latin. It comes from the word *Equi*. Equestrians has the word horse in it, we work together as one, not two.

Someone said oh riding horses is easy and I said have you fallen off something that weighs 1200 pounds that is 5-6 feet high and goes up to 45 mph and they were like uhhhhh....that would kill you I thought you rode horses. So I said thats what it is to fall off a horse. They had respect ever since

That tingle of excitement as you head to the barn. It makes everything else seem...I dont even know. When your able to call the horses name and he looks at you and it...you connect? Ha. Let's face it this whole comment probably just confused a normal person, but even if you've only connected with one horse, even as a young child, you know what I am referring to. The trust. That unspoken language. That's feeling. It's what we live for.

I grew up in a family that had never done horseback riding, and I’ve looked back to as far as my great-grandparents. When I told my parents I wanted to do horseback riding, they said no and said I needed to be more responsible. I was seven at the time and started doing more chores and helping out around the house. The second time I asked was a little while before my eighth birthday, they accepted.
When I first got in the saddle, it was the best feeling ever, I felt a connection I had never felt before.
The quote my coach told me when I first met her was, “You’re here to learn responsibility, patience, passion, teamwork, strength and most importantly, trust. If you fall, you get back in the saddle. If you fail the first time, you dust yourself off and try again. If your partner frustrates you, keep going! But in the end, it doesn’t matter how well you ride, what matters is what you’ve learned.” She’s been my coach for about seven years. Every time someone falls she asks, “What do you do?” And we always reply, “Get back in the saddle!”

I like to watch all these “equestrian; this is our sport,” but i feel like they`re all making the horse needless and just a tool to reach the top. Iv`e been looking for months to find one, where the bond between horse and rider was in focus. Now i found it. Thank you❤️

We are equestrians no matter what! If people say we can't ride then so be it! It's there opinion on how we ride when they watch us! We shouldn't care of what other thinks of us! We! We are the champions! Us equestrians is an amazing sport! A bond between an animal and human is incredibal view! (Idk if i spelt it wrong) we should be glad for what we are! For what we choose! We! Are! Equestrians!

Coming down wrong while posting gave me sciatica...the next lesson, I was bucked off two times in a row...while mounting..and I gained a herniated disc in my back. But, a year before that, I had a call back from my doc's office about my last mammogram, they'd found something(turned out to be nothing significant), and getting on Jackson's back...finding my inner centaur, I felt weightless...I felt so carefree i nearly cried. For an hour, there was just us and my instructor...for an hour i could pretend the outside world didn't exist...and quite honestly, that feeling is worth all the hurt.
He may break my bones, but he will *never* break my heart.

What makes me like this video the most is that it doesn't go with the "Do you train a shittone of hours a day, 7 days a week" argument. I'm saying this because I only ride 1 hour once a week since thats what I can afford. Don't mean to trash talk people that do spend multiple hours every day riding, I just see that on so many videos and sometimes it makes me feel like just because I don't do that I'm not as much of an equestrian as all those other people. But this video talks about the passion, partnership and connection. Thank you for making feel a part of this beautiful and passionate community. Thank you

When I got my mare, my first horse, she was nuts. Afraid of everything, withdrawing from hormone treatments, and fear aggressive. Great first horse, huh? It's taken four years, a lot of fear and courage. Hundreds of injuries on both our parts. Falls, bucks, smashing her neck into my nose.
And while she still discusses with me whether or not to go in a direction that I ask, it's polite instead of trying to throw me. She's so amazing now. She's solidly in 2nd level dressage and is a QH. She's my love and my beauty. And she get's foolish around food time, even going as far a stepping in my foot. She's amazing.

I had a fall that hospitalised me for around 2 abd 1/2 months ( not all were spent in hospital but I wasn’t at school) I fractured my elbow really badly because of a moody mare 😂😂 I asked for trot and I was going to ask her to canter once we were trotting so naturally I was very loose on the reins and wasn’t actually holding on as I would in canter and she leapt into canter knocking me off, back in the saddle 5 years later and couldn’t be happier

    Polo
    Horse racing industry
    Abusive barrel races
But I love us equestrians that treat horses as if they have feelings (which they do ) and those that'll don't abuse

    • @shelbykate5802
      @shelbykate5802 5 лет назад +2

First you probably have no clue what it is like in barrel racing. Not everyone abuses their horses not everyone whips the brains out of their horses. Sure I have a whip on my horn but I only use it when my horse needs a little push and I NEVER use my full force so not all of barrel racing is abusing. Also I’d like to see you try to run around 3 barrels while your horse is going flat out😏

Friends ~ If u get hurt from a horse , u leave them..
Me ~ *The bond you created , the trust you made , the bones you've lost , the risks you've taken...The things you and your horse are....If we fall...We get back on , no matter how hard we did....Because.....WE ARE EQUESTRIANS ... not people who sit on the backs of unpredictable "pets" and lose a nail...and complain..We lose our bones...but we wont let one fall..Change anything!*

Every Saturday I do horse riding for 7 or 8 hours and soon I will be getting a pony, it's my passion my everything I can't think of life without the pony I go on Joey I love him to the moon and back, he is pretty vicious and bites a lot bit I don't care, every bite I will let go.. I love him so much. He is like a brother or child to me and when other people ride him I don't mind as long as Joey is happy I don't care what happens

TwentyØnePony's yep they saved me from anxiety and depression. Stables r only thing i can be relaxed and be myself. Be with horses, it just feels like they understand and when i ride them i feel free
