I lost “my” horse almost a month ago. She was my rent horse in Spain for a year and I was literally the only one there taking care of her. Our bond was so different and real. I came to Finland, and I counted days when I could see her again. 168 days I waited, cried for her every night because I missed her. The day I got back to Spain I got a message that said that Misty had to be put to sleep few weeks earlier. Every time I read it I can feel in my body how broke I am. Never gonna forget her. Be grateful to have ur horses there besides u because there will be a day when u cannot no longer be with them. 🙏🏻
I lost my first horse last year, her kidney failed while I was at school and by the time I got home she was already put down so I never got to say goodbye.

People think oh its just an animal, it's just a pet, it's just some thing you ride around on, it's just a horse. But no.. it's a friend, a best friend.. a friend that was there for you when you needed it the most, a friend that has loved you and trusted you . A bond you have with a horse is no different than the bond you have with a family member, there family.

My cat died a few years ago and I still cry every night.
My dad and mum tell me to stop crying cause I lost my 4 and 1/2 year old dog on may 18th 2021 and he wasn't only a friend he wasn't only animal he was a best friend and he was a family member my dad took it really hard he was shaking and we got to see our puppys head he was mourled to death by 2 big dogs

i had a horse that looked like him♥️but he was getting old and when he rolled he couldn’t get up so he had to be put down in 2016.and from his death i have gained really bad ptsd(post traumatic stress disorder)and when i tell people i have ptsd their like”no you don’t” until they see me crying,hyperventilating, sweating,shaking,ect. and then there “OMG WHATS HAPPENING?!!” and then i struggle to tell them it’s my ptsd.its so hard for me to breathe and there’s SO many triggers to it😔

I also had a horse that looked like him. She was my first ever horse I took care of. I was 6 at the time, and she was my aunts horse. I then lost her when I was 10. It broke my heart, every day going to school I was sad and never really the same until I started taking care of another horse. She died in 2018. I still miss those two horses every day of my life. I tell my parents I’m fine when I go in my room and start crying

Here's my sob story: I went out to visit my first horse, the horse I learned to ride on, the horse I was the only one who he was trusted with. The horse that had brought me so many firsts: a first time cantering, or bareback, or my first show, a horse I loved differently, like no other I had loved. When he was retired at 29 years of age, I left that barn for a new one, which I regret for not only personal reasons but the fact that I left him. Due to some resentment from the owners of that barn, I only visited him once in 2 years. I regret that like I regret nothing else in my life. I was due to visit him a second time, on my birthday. But I arrived, and was told by his owner (and these are her exact words) "Vigil? Oh yeah, he died a while ago." Someone who has felt deep loss knows, this is the worst feeling. Infinite treats to all the horses we have loved and lost.
I hope u have some peace in ur heart and tank God u got to experience the joy of sharing a bond with a such a perfect animal if God made a more beautiful animal than a horse He kept it for Himself

Personally I've never lost a horse but there was this horse that I was very atchatched to. We were unstoppable and impossible to separate. I go into the stables one week and he wasn't there. I asked what happened to him. It turns out that sombody brought him an hour after I left the day before. He isn't coming back. Goodbye thunder

This is sooo sad, it reminds me of my old mare that I lost a couple of months ago. Missy, The safest pony I had ever had. She used to be my mom's old police pony. Sooo you used to be able to trust her with your life but you can't now because Missy gone : (

but I leased a horse for a year when I was a teenager and I had to give him up after that, because the owner was selling them to someone else.. and I still miss him to this day.. it’s been almost 10 years.. :(

Everyday at school everyone teases me about me loving horses and that I am crazy about horses, but really they don’t understand that horses are more than just some animal that people ride, or just a thing that parents buy for their little girls or boys not realizing that they need care, love, and so much more! My horse is the best thing that could had happened to me. I don’t know what I would do with myself if I didn’t have him! And this is to the people in my school, you guys don’t understand anything about a horse and if you still think you can tease me about horses you are wrong very, very wrong. And I know you will most likely never see this but I hope one day you will understand the amazing love of a horse.

This reminds me of a little Shetland pony Archie who I looked after. He was so naughty and no one loved him. But then we moved our horses and I found out he had died from sudden laminitis 😕
I lost a mare I’d first ridden on. She was amazing. One of the best horses ever. I never got to say goodbye. No one who loved her did.
We also lost a pony a year ago. She drowned because the creek flooded and she wasn’t strong enough and was too small. I never got to say goodbye.

My horse died when I was 10. I got her as a colt and started training her, when she was a little over one a storm came in and she was by a tree that got struck by lightning and it killed her she was my best friend and I will always miss her. RIP Kristel

A month's ago I lost my pony, she died from a colic and I miss her so much, the colic at night and in the morning was so late, I was at school when she passed, I think in her every day of my life, and my horse was very sad, I stayed all the time I can with him, he didn't want to stay alone, every time I have to go to eat or something he starts to call me, now he has another friend, but I miss my Perlita a lot, se was an angel 😭❤️

I would not be able to live anymore if my horse Edge died I would probs commit bec the only thing that keeps me going is Edge I miss her so much right now bec I have to wait until school goes back to see her bec I don't really own her she belongs to my riding school but I feel like she is mine bec we have a really strong bond I love her so so much and after watching your videos I wanna be able to ride as good as u do and evry day before I go to school I will watch one of your videos and that will remind me to keep trying as hard as I can so I can get a great job and hopfully buy Edge one day 😃

My family and I went to a place to buy two horses, but mom ended up only buying the lazy horse with name Rambo, but I loved Rambo more than anybody else. He and I both liked him right of the bat. Mom bought him and we drove 14 or some hours home, but when we came home he was completley differnt. It was like he was a different horse. He was wild and would not like us rouching him. We introduced him to the other two jorses we had at that time. The next day we went out to ride mom lead one horse wile dad lead Rambo and the last horse did not need to be held. Rambo was completely wild, but mom thought it was just because he was moved. Mu little brother ended up riding him(wich i thought was unfair). But after a while he got scared of Rambo, so my older sister rided him for a while. After a while she did not wanna ride gim anymore so I sat up. I had test rided him when we bought him, but this was like a whole another horse. So after the trip everything was fine. He was still wild and very hard to control so we figured he was subdued when we bought him. He was so uncontrollable that only my mother was allowed to ride him.
This went by wirhout any other things happening, until once i was leading him by the rope since i was the only one who wanted to. Then suddenly he just pushed me down on the pavement and ran in the riding paddock. My mother caught him and lead him back with the others. Then he suddenly started running so my mom was dragged after him on her stomack. He then proceeded to follow us because he did not wanna go from the other horses. He had now been biting us pushing us and being wild with us for at least a year. Then once he got out of the fence on accident and could not get in, but just as we had taken the horses out to lead him in. He jumped from a stand still position 120 cm. We were all shocked, but i was just angry at the people who wasted such potential. Then a whike went by. But suddenly he did not let us get close to we put him in a paddock that had no grass, so he would have to come to us, but he did not let us feed him because he did not wanna get close to us. Then i tried to feed him I was able to feed him a few times and I was deperate to keep him alive because all my hirses are like my children and i protect them with my life. A while went by and he got better that suddenly he gor worse again and this time he was also ill in his stomack. We tried everything but it did not work. Everyday i went and talked to him, i tried to tame him but he was ill and wild. A while went by but then the saddest day of my life. My sister and I were about to bile to school when my mother told my sister she wanted to talk with her alone while they took the horses to the paddock. Later she came back, but she was weird like sad. I did not think about it back then, but later that day I came home and asked where Rambo was because all the other horses were in the paddock exept for him. Then my mother told me that they had put him to sleep. Forever. Mom had called veterinarian to giva Rambo a syringe that would quickly and painlessly kill him. I was heartbroken, and i still am to this day even though it has been 3 years. I was so in love with Rambo that I still can not get over it.

I lost one of my pigeons last month because we had to put him down. Poor guy was three months old and had a broken leg. We couldn’t get him in a vet sooner because every avian vet refused to treat a pigeon. When we did get him to a vet, we couldn’t rebrake it to help it properly. Even the wild life centre didn’t help even though many vets redirected us to them. Him and his brother helped me through difficult times and he was my best friend, other than his brother.
We built a cope for him and his brother and even drove 6 hours just to get him help.
