Great boat guys, two things I'd definitely add. Roof ventilation, cos that cab is going to get bloody hot. Also windscreen wipers, nothing worse than coping spray/rain and not being able to see

Nice boat review. Cannot believe you swapped out the beautiful sleek Suzuki 250hp for the Yammie 300hp behometh. I have the Suzuki 300hp and its a pearl of an engine. Much more compact than the Yamaha 300hp tank. I've experienced plenty of problems with Yamaha's in the last 20 years. MY F115 has had gearbox issues, inconsisent idling and throttle issues even though it doesnt get a whole lot os use. My Yammie F20 has also had problems while weighing a tonne more than competitors (this came with a boat I bought). On the other hand the Suzuki's ive owned (starting with a brand new F15 bought in 1996) over the years have never missed a beat. I've even had Suzuki DF5's and DF6's which are incredibly well well built, incredibly easy starting and much lighter than all competitors.

You, problems with Suzukis and none with the Yammys. My 300 yam is better then the 250 Suzi on fuel, tonnes more power and also 26kg lighter…can’t argue with those figures, yammy all the way 😂😂
@@_OuterLine I just checked and Suzuki released their current model 300hp design in 2007, since then they added lean burn and a couple of other minor enhancements for 278kg. It has taken Yamaha 14 years to catch up with a very similar design (269kg's) to the Suzuki 300hp. This is the story with most manufacterers as they are all trying to catch up to Suzuki's designs. Tohatsu is also doing some great work in the 15/20hp, 25/30hp and also 115/140hp categories trying their best to catch Suzuki's designs. By the way, Ive also owned a few Tohatsu's over the years and these engines have been super relaiable. Its quite possible that Tohatsu is (and always has been) the most relaible outbrand brand in the world and now they are coming up with excellent 4 stroke deisgns. It's all good news for consumers of new outboards.

Boat name - wind rose which is a form of compass also know as rose of the winds used for wind and direction.

Good tip with your anchor chain sock cut it 500mm to a metre short from your anchor that way you know where your anchor is when your bringing it up

One thing I’d think of adding to the new rig mate is some pop up air vents above your cabin seats to channel air into the cab on this hot days while Motoring since you don’t have sliding side windows.
As for a name I’d call her “Beddy Ray”…….. not only a good band but also a play on ya home where your heart is!

Love the boat. Definitely going to have to put opening windows or roof hatches in. Weird not to have any windows to open, it's going to be extremely hot without them. Also I think you are going to need a live bait tank. Can't wait to see the adventures ahead. We just need some good weather. I would love to see a trip out and around Middle Percy Island.

I would definitely add that autopilot and radar, and a common things here in the Southern US…. Not sure if it’s applicable where you are with the depths you see but a set of Power Poles are extremely useful when attempting to anchor in shallow-ish water and can completely alleviate the need to use anchor in some cases. Might be worth looking into!

Love the boat mate . She’s a beauty. Did you try and 4 blade props ? The bite like a pitbull ! The auto pilot is a must and you will wonder how you ever fished without it . Great for trolling and you will use less fuel going straight to your marks . They keep you on course. The radar is very handy as well. Avoiding storms and great for marking other boats if you know what I mean 😉 . Keep up the great work. Love ya channel 👍🏻

There is one other upgrade you may like to look at is a sea star jack plate for shallow running which could come in handy for those shallow reefs and rivers
For boat names: compass, true south, first light. One thing I would suggest is to have your critical safety gear (epirb, flares etc) in a dry bag on the deck of the boat somewhere very obvious. I have started doing this after advice from a few salty souls who have told me they really wished they did this when they had major trouble with their boats, especially if your going to be going way offshore
New boat is sick as. How about some below the waterline LEDs on the transom and you gotta put a Minnkota on it. Has to be a way even with the bow rail. Have seen other similar boats with them,

sick boat bro, i have the exact same transducer and sounder on mine, pro tip get used to manually adjusting the gain - best way is look at the sounder screen there's a small wheel looking thing (G), click that, turn auto off and manually go up or down... while under way dial it down to get clear marks at speed, if going slower of at rest dial it up. Leave depth at auto. Another thing i have found is that running LOW FREQ in shallow like 50-100 meters marks a structure like an individual rock way more clearly as its a narrow beam, high freq marks the fish better but smaller bottom structure is not so obvious. chur from nz

Algood yeah just takes abit of finess to dial it in. Had a look and assuming we both have the chirp 275LHW then high is a constant beam @25, and low is 19-25 beam. Been as deep as 300meters with no issues on low freq, should be good up to 1000m on paper but havnt got that crazy yet! @@_OuterLine

When putting wires in that tube put like a 6mm spanner in the tube with the wires through the circle but on the spanner hole the wires then pull it through the tube
