everyone has a story to tell | 8 months later

After this painting dragged out, for 8 months since finding the initial reference, I was feeling the need to personally reflect back on the progress and the experience. Im not sure what it's like for others, but in my art life I don't always get a choice what image will hit me in the chest and say this is it. And I don't know when it will get on and off the easel. I only feel pulled in the direction of the vision and can do my best to see it through. In reality I probably spent 10 part time weeks actually painting. Such is life, and that's exactly what this painting is about. I'm not sure on a name fully yet, maybe backyard sanity..but that feels a bit intense.
