It is true that Russian children are taught about weaponry and military discipline from a very early age, but they are not sent into combat. It's worth saying also that a great many people in these "occupied areas" are of Russian heritage.
What dies it even mean to be of some heritage? Do you think every person of Mexican heritage in the US would welcome a Mexican invasion? Or every person of polish heritage would cheer on polish tanks crossing the border into Germany?
It's a very wild assumption that just bc people have some Russian ancestors, they would be for Russia in this conflict. The majority of Ukranian refugees that I met cane from the eastern areas of Ukraine. Many of them don't speak Ukranian, just Russian... And they STILL don't like their houses and villages destroyed, their relatives dead, their lifes upended and most of them HATE Russia with a passion.
@@germancomment2244 It is a very sad situation. Of course very many refugees have fled Eastern Ukraine to Russia rather than to the West, and they will have the same sort of attitude towards the Ukrainians as those refugees you have met have about Russians.
