My mom walked out on me and my sister when I was 4. My dad raised us. I now have 2 girls and they are my world! I’m a stay at home mom and wife. I’m the one with them 100% of the time. Even though their father is only home on the weekends, I’m woman enough to realize and say that he’s the better parent. It could be because he’s gone and misses them. He’s the one that puts a large tent in our second family room just for the girls when I’m the one that puts it up because it doesn’t belong there. He turns the house into a jungle gym with the couches, mattresses and ottomans, while I sigh because I now have a mess to clean up. But he’s taught me a huge lesson: laughter is the most beautiful thing. Who cares what the house looks like for a few hours. Live and laugh a little. Have adventures, even if they are inside the house. Have fun. The kids are only young for so long.
    Fathers ARE necessary.

I'm a single father, and I've been fighting for 2 years, just to be with my child. It's been psychological warfare and I've never been so depressed. My son lights up when he sees me, and it engulfs my heart with warmth, but it does nothing to convince his mother how important I am to the development of our son.
That being said, as of August 20, I will be a full time single father.
I would never, and will never stoop to the same level that she has, and I will always understand her importance in my son's life, but, I am grateful that the court has decided that I was the more stable parent, (psychologically, financially and emotionally).
I'll never talk trash about his mother to him, I'll never take her away from him, I'll never stop fighting for my son's well being, and I'll always be willing to help other men going through the same thing.
We need a drastic shift in how we treat fathers, or we're never going to create a shift the suicide rates in men.
I was there, and there's millions of men in that position, that need help and support.
We need to stop this ideology that, men are just brutish, emotionless, misogynist, and toxic womanizers, and realize that we're (for the most part) loving, caring, emotional and supportive creatures.
2 sides of the same coin people!
Never stop fighting for your children boys! They need us!

My mom guilt tripped me into not seeing him since i was twelve and would tell me she would kill herself but i moved out of her place because she was super toxic to be around. She was the same with my sister who isn't with us anymore.
My mom hurt me and my sister a lot and fuelled the fire that was in my sister and that is why she isn't here anymore. I want to start new and be happy and feel free because i never had that with my mom. My mom tried to get me on disability so she could get money to get drugs and i will never forgive her for that.

The justice system is so messed up.
When my parents split, I was old enough to choose who I wanted to live with, I chose my Dad by my mom wasn't having it. So I was forced to go back and forth for nearly six years. My mom fought so hard to keep me in her life, but she didn't want to pay for anything I needed, parent me or even treat me with any kind of mutual respect. For her it was a stab at my Dad. I ended up developing severe depression, multiple eating disorders and body dysmorphia. (luckily I am pretty far along in my recovery and at a decent state, mental health wise)
Fathers are essential and it pains me to see so many courts just hand full custody to mothers no question asked. I am lucky that I am "stronger" than my mother and fought tooth and nail until she gave up and let me stay at my Dads full time.
God this is a long comment, but its nice getting it off of my chest. :)

In my state father's day is after the school year has ended which is the reason I credit for it not being celebrated as much because theirs just less hype. Perhaps it's because there's more single mothers than single father's or perhaps it because a man that has actually fought and won custody, or split custody or even just supervised visitation, knows all too well that he has to Foster healthy communication between the child and the other parent while the single mother who gets custody by default and or never had to fight for rights or custody isn't worried about that.

When my marriage broke down my ex wife and I made an agreement that we would not use our son against each other. I was soon to learn that this was an empty promise. When I met a new partner my ex wife used my son's anger from the divorce against the new partner and the pressure worked as she left. Now armed with this success she then had my son turn his anger directly against me and it also worked. Basically I lost all contact with him for approx 5 years. I knew if I chased after him I was proving everything my ex wife was saying was true and that I was this "ugly" person. So all I could do is wait and hope. Out of the blue my son contacted me and wanted to talk. We met and I said little opting to listen to him instead (scary tactic for me). He actually told me how he felt about me and kind of what he was told about me but he also noticed I didn't act that way while he was talking. Today I have an incredible relationship with my son. I don't push anything on him, merely give him support when needed and give him a place to openly talk without fear of criticism. I have only made one request, that is that he is to keep loving his mother however we are never to be under the same roof at the same time because of what was done. He thankfully fully understands this request. It seems time, patience and a very big dose of luck has paid off.

@@mathewmantas Yes, I am sure more and more young men are choosing to never marry or cohabitate with women and to definitely never have children. Instead, knowing the screwing they're in for if they do marry or cohabitate, especially if they father a child, they choose to put themselves first instead of marrying and starting a family.
Most women I've seen who decide not to ever get married are successful, career-minded businesswomen who make a high salary. These women represent a small percentage of women overall.
The young men choosing to go their own way, on the other hand, come from all walks of life on every economic level, with the youngest being teens still in school.
MGTOW (Men Going Their Own Way) is growing quickly. For every one who identifies as MGTOW to publicly spread the philosophy, there are many more who remain silent and simply drop out of the dating/marriage game.
Either way, though, the birthrate and marriage rate are at an all time low in the US and it is expected to go much lower. The disconnect I see between men and women only looks to get worse as time goes by, so I think the predictions are accurate, no matter who gets the credit for destroying the institution of marriage.

Emily You’re blaming a child during its development. Really?
Have you ever met children? They’re feral. It is the job of the parents, the wider family, and the whole of society to raise them. Setting boundaries is a critical part of that, and it is somewhat typical for women to be more kind and forgiving, thereby unknowingly neglecting that essential duty.
Statistically overlapping curves and all that - there are plenty of hard-ass mothers around, with daddy being the sweet (cough gullible cough) one.

neither would i be 1% of the person i am without my father. He is an amazing husband, father and man. I remember a day he arrived home completely torn apart by his job and tired as hell, and he went to my mother who was sick and asked her what he could do for her. That's the man my father is, he can be tired and sick as hell, but he still works hard and shows his love to his family. Apparently the same people who hates anything man related would love a father like mine. In the meantime, my mom had an abscent father who cheated on my grandma, and it impacted her life very bad. My grandpa died last month and my mom cried, so did my aunts and my uncle, because he was their father and they still loved him. He was an abscent father but he wasn't a bad person, and still, his abscence was really bad for her. Lack of not only fathers but masculine fathers is doing such a harm to society, the only people who don't see it are those who don't wanna see or pretend not to.

I have 3 daughters and a son. Fathers are crucial for sons, but for daughters we are irreplaceable. Daughters learn from their fathers how men think, get their sense of dignity and self-respect from their father’s attention. A father also shows his daughter what platonic love looks like, and later in life she’ll be able to discern between men seeking a marriage and family as opposed to just sex. Most of all, how her father treats her mother will inform her expectations of her future husband. A mother teaches a daughter how to be a woman, but a father teaches her how to be a wife through his interactions with her mother. This is why girls from a single mother household are much more likely to be pregnant in their teens and to be single mothers themselves.

Even the worldly show How I Met Your Mother acknowledged that the connection between promiscuity and daddy issues. It’s not loving dads that create porn stars. It is absent or abusive dads that do. And that is obviously not every guy (despite the feminist rhetoric.) Sadly selfish women are justifying pushing loving fathers out of their kids lives by this leftist nonsense.

    • @TheSpicyLeg
      @TheSpicyLeg 5 лет назад +4

Allie Davis Perhaps the saddest thing of all is that it is not hard to do. You don’t have to read parenting books or be a child psychologist, you just have to love them.
My wife and I have talked about this before, when our eldest daughter was born, that I feared the worldly would impress upon my daughter the values of promiscuity and worthlessness it entails. One of the things I love most about my wife is her dignity - what humans used to call class - and virtuousness. I wanted my daughter to grow up knowing she was loved, and that her body was a precious gift not to be misused. My wife simply says that’s what her father gave her by being around.
My eldest is 10. Last year she came home crying from school, saying another girl didn’t think she was pretty. What’s telling is that did not run to her mother, but to me, to tell me what the other girl said. Later I realized she was instinctively seeking male affirmation. Her mother wouldn’t lie to her, but she needed to know males did believe she was pretty. It was very insightful.

I've also been a victim of female sexual abuse and I'm the one that ended up in trouble with the police. Go figure. I suspect we all support equalility not male or female dog nation.

Literally though, that's the reason I kind of have an issue with lgbtq couples of men and couples of women adopting and raising kids. Sure the kid might still turn out alright, but that boy or girl is going to be lacking in the things that only having both a father and mother can teach them. Both mother and father teach different things that the kid needs to grow up to be a wise and mature adult. Just my opinion, I'm worried for how the future generation will turn out :/.

Hi my name is Clinton. I live in America am 32 years old and haven't seen my children in 7 years. While still paying child support while having ZERO legal rights to them. Their mother won all custody leaving me in enough debt to where I'll never get it paid off. As a male who has been broken by a large majority of the people in his life. I have toiled endlessly to right whatever cosmic wrong I did to deserve this pain. I don't have much in my life just what I've made or earned. I'm white, a male, and in no way privileged. Having been on my own since told to leave my home for nonconformacy to a way of life I didn't belive in. I graduated high school having only my tent and a pocket full of hopes and fears.I thuroughly enjoyed the four videos I've watched out of your collection and would like to thank you. This particular video really touched home. In my home state of Texas I was told a father is easy to replace while a mother can never be anyone but the biological mother is unfit and will corrupt the child's development. I had given up hope not to long ago and almost put an end to the pain. All because I fell for the wrong woman. But alas all I could think about was now she will get what she wants and could not go through with it. However after hearing your words I realize that not every woman will burn me as she did. It seems some good women are left in this world. Keep up the good work my friend.

Always telling me how bad of a person my dad is only to, (when i became an adult,) discovered my Dad was dragged through hell just to try and see me for a couple of days a week after she attempted to take everything he had, and then completely cut him off.
I now get along with my father than my mother who raised me, and have never been happier though i wish my mother let my dad see me growing up. You dont have to be the best father, you just have to be "there". But for a mother to purposefully do that is toxic, incredibly selfish and narcissistic.

Father of three, grandfather of three here. ( 4 girls and 2 boys in total) I have dragged ALL of them either kicking and screaming or side by side through my wood shop, basic auto mechanics, electrical wiring, and mathematics ( most making it through calculus)
I let them fail first off. But where I differ from my wife is that I show them how to pick themselves up and try again. Not coddling them and doing things for them. I’m not going to lie and say it’s easy. Building self reliance skills and self worth are shear gold for child development. Learning that the harder you work on something and the more effort you put into it, the more rewarding the experience. You may not have won, succeeded or achieved the goal you were trying for. But you gave it your all and there is no shame in that as long as you learned something about yourself along the way. These are lessons passed down to me from all the family men: father, grandfather, great uncle.
Anyone thinking that they can raise a child on their own is at the least slightly narcissistic. Parenting is best done by as many adults as possible. Let’s face it children have way too much energy for anyone of us to keep up with on our own.😅

@@Ozziemandias56 true, but instead of putting girls with boys on camping trips, because of obvious reasons, they should work on making girl scouts better, not forcing boy scouts into equality with benefits scouts, all because people are too stupid to fix something, that they rather dump it to ruin another similar thing. Common sense no longer exists with feminists running around like hypocritical fake victims, because they think women should have benefits for having a vagina, not actually equal rights.

Okay so my partner has two children from a previous relationship and he isn’t allowed to see, contact, or even send them birthday cards, and hasn’t done for over a year now. He has made multiple attempts to call them, send them cards, see them, all of which have been answered with their mother pulling them away from him or removing any evidence that he cares about them. Unless he takes her to court (which would cost approximately 8K which we don’t have), there is nothing that can legally be done. I know multiple fathers in similar situations, some who have actually taken their ex’s to court, been granted shared custody, and STILL had nothing done when the mothers have decided they dont want them seeing their kids, some who don’t even know where their kids are.
Men literally have no legal rights when it comes to their children and so many of them get fucked over by a system that doesn’t care. It’s so depressing to see this treatment of men and fathers become a mainstream idea and anyone who is daft enough to think that fathers are literally just unnecessary sperm donors or that situations like this don’t affect the men or children involved are fucking idiots.

@David Stairs The legal system is a reflection of the culture. If you want to change the legal system, you have to change the culture. Until most people accept that feminism is evil, nothing will change for the better.

Anyone that would deny their child a father's love is not a fit parent, unless the father is a complete piece of shit. That being said, I had a girlfriend once who during our relationship lost custody of one of her sons, so there is hope for fathers that love their children to win such cases. But if you fight, just be sure it's for the children and not for yourselves.

Daryl Spiewak II not all cases have to do with a judge. Many cases it’s cause the father didn’t want anything to do with the child prior to it going to court. Naturally it’ll be ruled that the judge declares the child to be under full custody of the mother at that point. It happened to me. My father didn’t want me. In fact everyone but my mother wanted me to be aborted I was unwanted on all fronts. Yes I’m white having the lowest of the three main races of America (Caucasian, African American and some Latin descent) there’s also a cultural difference between those races. Ever look into Asian countries and their marriages. They have some of the lowest divorce rates cause it’s shameful to discredit a marriage. It’s also bad on the child as stated and one of the biggest things is to keep the family intact to maintain good standing with all members of the family and to those outside of it. However black families have the highest rate of fatherless homes and it seems to be a trend of the father leaving and not wanting the kid. And some point you need to ask why are people turning their back on their families (assuming they were even married when conception happened) and why people do not wish to stick around. I find the whole you didn’t have a father in the house you won’t be a proper man thing to be stupid. It’s nothing more than an excuse because you got dealt a bad hand and didn’t want to figure out a way around it. I was raised by a single mother and lived in a broken down trailer. She worked multiple jobs to keep us afloat and I even worked small jobs starting at the age of 7 to make some small money to buy myself things I wanted cause I didn’t have the cool J’s like everyone else, the new game system and so on. I wore hand me downs too big for me from cousins cause I was an only child for a long while. Despite that I still worked hard. And didn’t choose to do stupid crap because I’m “broken” and I definitely didn’t let it stop me from what I was doing. I never had a hard time getting dates when I was younger and I actually ended up marrying my high school sweetheart who I went to the same school with from elementary and up. I wasn’t the smartest kid but I managed to earn half a scholarship but I didn’t have any way to pay for the rest so I opted into the armed forces to get all my college free. That was a big risk but it was my choice. I now have 13 years of free college I can use however I please now with no worries of debt as I chose a route that would most benefit me. I didn’t become like the kids at my school who ended up in prison or druggies. They blame their parents even if they had both. It’s nothing but excuses and they don’t want to take responsibility for the things they chose to do up to that point. And that’s a fact

My dad was so important to me. My mother was never there for me emotionally and had favorites among my sisters and brother. I was basically the middle kid between the oldest, the youngest, and the only boy. I know my mother loved me in her own way, but I always got the brunt of any punishment and the easiest to dump on. My father just had love for each of us and I always felt his pride in being his daughter. If he wasn't in my life during those years, I don't think I would have ended up as well. Unfortunately, he passed a little over 30 years ago and I have never stopped missing him.

My heart broke hearing about the father who took his life. I narrowly avoided a similar fate while fighting for visitation with my oldest son. It still kills me that I wasn't there for him on a day to day basis and have to hope that the 2 weekends a month and occasional dinner visit were enough to assure him that I love him. He just graduated from high school and is going to college, so I've been dealing with all of that regret as he moves on with the next stage of his life. Again, thanks for your understanding and insight. It's really buoying.
