- KXAN spent six hours on the road with him this month observing traffic stops, learning about Criminal Investigation Division (CID) operations and addressing concerns from community members.
Criminals are the ones who don't want officers around. If you're not doing anything wrong, why would you worry about it more people need to see what the officers put up with

How did the Austin City Council mess this opportunity up to have input on what the DPS does in our city? The DPS has jurisdiction over all of Texas and the Austin City Council seemed try and make the fringe minority of activist happy vs actually trying to have dialog on what works and what doesn't work in their police reform goals.

I knew Austin would stop it. They defunded the cops in Austin they are hips in that’s city just like California
How does a gun just go off in your pocket….. must have been an illegally modified trigger… meaning the person was a criminal to start with… funny how the law against that didn’t stop him.. 😂😂😂
People that pull you over to ask if you're carrying a large amount of cash are not here to protect you.
Do you have policing experience? I’m sure you don’t. I’m sure no one is going to your professions and critiquing you because it’s your profession and you know why you do things. Our community welcomes the State Troopers!! I’ve seen less crimes in my neighborhood :)
I’m sure you live some where in the city that doesn’t have high crime rates…unfortunately we don’t all have that privilege so how about you stay on that side, worry about yourself, and stfu.
Thank you :)
@@Follower-dc5se The only things police protect is themselves and their pensions. 378 self proclaimed heroes descended on a school in south Texas and called themselves heroes after attacking parents for trying to save their children.
It’s called looking for criminal activity . That’s one way to protect citizens.
it can be a sign of criminal activity because it very uncommon behavior. It is very common among drugs dealers and criminal who make a lot of dirty money that they can't just throw in their bank account. It the same question ask at international airports etc it very common question like do you have any weapons on you.
Y’all only doin this bcuz the news is watching y’all need to worry about commercial highways and vehicles period
