Most hydraulic systems have a breather somewhere normally on top of the tank. When hot it pushes the air inside the tank out sometimes pushing a small amount of oil with it, that might be your wetness around the tank
The newer units (2024?) have a worse exhaust setup than yours. The s bend piece that clamps onto the muffler end inside the machine and doesn’t protrude through the sidewall. Mine was loose on startup rolled over and the back pressure bogged the machine down. I’m making a new exhaust from 1” npt black pipe and installing a $30 Chinese motorcycle muffler from Amazon on the outside of the machine. Hoping it keeps things cooler inside

My exhaust popped off constantly, I welded it solid.
