    I'm so glad you're making these videos as I'm putting in a bid on my next auction 😂 do these machines have a float for the bucket? Also is this the fastest the machine can travel? It looks pretty slow compared to a bobcat.

    • @TheJBros520
      @TheJBros520 День назад

      @kylequinn1963 No float, but my bucket is big and heavy enough it kinda acts as a leveler. It's pretty impressive how it cuts. No it goes double the speed but controls get very jumpy. Good for getting across the yard. We are happy that we can help. As we were blind to this stuff when we started the channel. Lot of recon and trial and error. Also good info from others!

    Those CRT23’s always seem to ship in pairs. The way they come in the angle iron cages, they sit one on top of the other. The bottom one always seems to get dinged up. The mini ex auger attached to a 2” square tube with a pin, and then a blank attachment plate with a 2” receiver hitch seems like the best way to go. Allows you to extend the auger out as far as you need use the receiver hitch plate as multi purpose to still be able to move trailers around.

    • @TheJBros520
      @TheJBros520 2 дня назад

      Interesting!! That does seem the simplest with the Hitch. I was looking into maybe getting a Backhoe attachment for the Mini Skid and just keep all them attachments.

    • @59apachestepside
      @59apachestepside 2 дня назад

      @@TheJBros520 I have heard that those mini skid backhoe attachments leave much to be desired. Having to re-maneuver the tracks each time to dump and what not. With prices of mini ex's dropping by the day with how many are flooding the market from China, I would lean towards just getting a mini excavator with pilot controls.

    If you had looked closely at the front idler wheels, you would probably have noticed 4 tiny pilot holes in the locations where the 4 bolts on your machine hold the dust cover on. That's the way mine is. My guess is that they did away with the dust cover after they built yours. If you remove those 4 bolts on yours and the dust covers, it will likely look identical to these ones.

    I'm enjoying my morning coffee and the algorithm said, "Hey, watch this!". I guess because I've been watching houses being built poorly (new home inspections in US/CAN/AUS), rebuilt from ruins (Algarve, Portugal), etc. I'm curious about the overall goal with respect to levelling the floors. You've described how your hands are tied with what can be done on the main floor given how well the upper floor(s) are resting, and the brief shots of your spirit level and the gaps that resulted made me think there's a high possibility of a rolling/undulating floor. I'm curious what I would do in this situation. I could see myself wanting to achieve perfection (timelines and budgets notwithstanding) by laser referencing the room and shaving down every floor joist so that the room was laser level.. but I don't know the condition of the other rooms. Are the heights different at the other entry points? Do I find a happy medium? Do I say, "Eff it, good is good enough." and pour levelling compound to cover up the sins of the 1890s. Anywho, it was a fine video. :)

    I just don't know why you are dragging your bucket everywhere you go. I'm thinking, by the way you attempt to load it without shifting the dirt in the bucket and going at the pile again for a better load, it must be a lack of experience........ OR maybe that mini Skid steer just cant handle a simple job and the load is too heavy for it. I hope that isn't a rental because that bucket will be severely lacking paint and metal on the underside.........

    Does your machine have a bucket float mode??? That would be very helpful... After placing your material down, place your bucket in front of the material like @ 13:54 but instead of using the front of the bucket, use the rear of the bucket... Put the bucket in float mode and travel backwards... If that doesn't work that well, try tilting the bucket up and dragging it backwards... My Berlon 36" LP bucket has a sharp rear bottom edge... It leaves a smooth and even grade traveling backwards ... Like warm peanut butter on hard toast... I have a Kubota SCL1000 Hope this helps

    It's those big ugly welds on the inside of the wheels and the roughness of the inside of the wheel. I saw a video where someone ground down the welds to make them smoother. So I felt inside the wheels of the one that I will probably buy and the welds were not too bad but the whole inside of the wheel felt like the most coarse sandpaper you have ever seen. When I get mine the first thing I will do is take the wheels off and get them machined smooth.
