This worked for my iphone 6plus but I had to do it twice. Once to download and once to install. My phone was disabled, no passcode and the SIMS card was missing but I was able to restore it back to NEW factory settings. Thank you so much !

when I plugged it into my MacBook it would not show up in iTunes, but doing the hardest still has worked and its looking promising trying to download the the latest system, I hope this works, thanks
It still works, just hold both the home and lock buttons at the same times and keep holding past the apple logo until the itunes screen pops up then follow with the video. It just takes a ten seconds or so after the logo disappears for it to pop up.

thanx u r the best...i restored my iphone 4s from indian simm in this ...you can do it on windows...my error was that it was showing that my iphone was disabled and i had to slide the phone using my password... but i couldnt as it was showing to slide an emergency calls only....
Ive done it with my 6s just for trying it out , Find my iPhone is was also enabled so it worked without any problems i just putted into the recovery and done the full reset and used my old backup or you can use it as a new iphone , so if you see some iphones with this problems buy them and sell them or take it for you own its good money
