- This video will guide you on how to remove any passcode lock or disabled screen on any iPhone. Easy step by step process explained, no expertise needed.

If your home or power button doesn't work, watch this video on how to do it without - • How to enter recovery/...
This will erase the device and its passcode.
1. Disconnect all cables from your device.
2. Hold down the Sleep/Wake button, then "slide to power off" to turn off your device.
3. Press and hold the Home button and plug the device into your computer. If your device doesn't turn on automatically, turn it on. Don't release the Home button.
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the Connect to iTunes screen.
5. If iTunes doesn't open automatically, open it. iTunes will alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode.
6. Click OK. Then restore & update the device.
If your device doesn't go into recovery mode, try steps 1-4 again.

this is a nine yr old video and still helps. i took my iphone 6s for repair and replaced it with an iphone 11 pro and completly forgot about it and when i went to pick it up, i was sure i remembered the password but sadley i did not but this video helped me factory reset it and yes, i backed up everything to my 11 so thanks so much.

Demi Puebla yes when you restore any apple devices you are wiping all the data off. If you backed your apps/data on the cloud then you can put it all back, otherwise you are starting new. I don’t remember details because it was a year ago when I reset my iPhone but this method did work by restoring my iphone.

I found an old iPhone along with other stuff in my inherited desk at work. It had a sticky note identifying it as a previous employee's iPhone 6. At first your method did not work. So I tried it by holding the volume down button while inserting the lightning cable, and it worked! The sticky note was wrong. It is actually an iPhone 7. Thanks for the video.

@@nitaday2299 all data for example camera roll and all custom settings you set like fingerprints and wifi settings etc.

I have tried this multiple times, and whenever I try I get this error message: iTunes could not connect to the iPhone "name iPhone" because it is locked with a passcode. You must enter your passcode on the iPhone before it can be used with iTunes.

i just tried it on a friend's icloud locked ipad and didnt work... i think you did this on a phone without an activation lock... very irrelavant video if it doesnt truly disable passwords.. i followed your steps and am stock on a screen on set up asking me for previous owners id info to unlock

Ignore the comments like that i hope you have a backup because you need to factory reste your phone and transfer data to phone also if you have a usb that ll work fine too as long as you have one with high gb like same as your phone

Itunes doesn't even give me two options. . it just asks to restor and update, and when it goes through the process it stops a few minutes later. .

After you do everything in the video and your phone telling you to do everything you would do if it was a new iPhone it will ask you to activate the iPhone , which then you will need the Apple ID and password

When I connect to the computer it brings up the iTunes icon on my phone & works a little while in iTunes like on the video, but then after a while my phone restarts and goes back to the "disabled connect to iTunes" screen. Anyone else had this problem & found out how to fix it? I'm on my 3rd try 😐
This is due to your download being too slow. There is a 15 minute timer for the ios download and if it isn't completed in that time it restarts. Not sure why apple has done this but you can fix it by using a faster internet connection. That or look up how to manually download the proper ios "update" package and add it to the phone.
