Instead of using a bowl before refrigerating, put in a plastic pouch. When coconut cream solidifies, it would be easier to separate it from the water by simply tearing the bottom of the plastic pouch to let out the water.
For everyone whose complaining that she wasted the coconut's water, she's explained to numerous posters that matured coconuts water goes bad really quickly and doesn't taste really good.
Thanks for the video 🙏 I tried it the whipped cream came out well. I stored the coconut milk overnight in a polythin cover and in the morning just made a hole in it to separate the water 😉
Thanks so much for posting this video! I'd been looking for a video like this on how to use "fresh" coconut to make whipped cream, but all that kept popping up were videos of people using canned coconut milk to make it.
Time consuming but very helpful. I have severe allergies to dairy and many chemicals used in food processing so I cannot eat canned coconut milk. I wanted a whipped cream substitute on an allergy safe pumpkin pie for my birthday and this tutorial helped immensely. I'd suggest adding to the instructions is to blend the coconut until it starts to get warm (coconut oils become liquid at warmer room temp) so it is easier to extract more of the oil. Now I also have coconut flour and coconut milk that is safe as well. Thank you very much!. :D
Wow, what an excellent video! I like the way you went through the pocess, showing us and had it written on the screen for us. I enjoyed this video very much!
😩That’s a lot of work for the dollop that I need...by the time I get done doing ALL of that hammer banging etc etc I will have forgotten what I needed it for or what I needed it for will already have been eaten 😩....so I’m gonna get a can of coconut cream or just use chickpea / garbanzo bean juice and enjoy it right away. 😁. I appreciate the effort & work put into making this video though. 💞
You can buy coconut cream/ milk from the supermarket, pour it in a bowl and refrigerate it. Water will separate from the cream as shown in the video. You can then go ahead and whip it adding sugar. Why not try organic coconut sugar.
It 's great to see this. However, the coconut milk has its own unique flavor and smell that you need to put much vanilla extract. If you use hot water when blending it, you will get more coconut milk and it will be hygienic.
If you heat the coconut in an oven or broiler on low heat for a few minutes, it will separate from the shell easily. I would use a veggie peeler to get the inner pith off, otherwise you risk cutting yourself using a knife, and besides, you waste less coconut with a peeler.
I usually buy cocount cream as it cost less than a coconut. I will check the ingredients to see if it has guar gum. Never thought to make coconut cream, I usually add chia seeds vanilla and honey to make a dessert. The chia seeds bind the ingredients to make a pudding which is healthy and tasty.
couldn't we use the coconut water to blend it with the coconut chunks instead of regular water? I do not like to waster all the delicious coconut water.
You don’t have to waste the coconut water... Drink 🍸 drink 🍷 it .. it’s good for dehydration, good for Urinary tract infection, good for you kidneys. .. Cheers 🥂 thanks 🙏 for showing us the proper way...
Freeze the coconuts over night, let them thaw and the refreeze them overnight and when you start hitting it with the hammer it will separate from the brown skin.
Thank you so much for this video I have been looking for this video to know how can you make whipped cream from fresh coconuts and the coconut flour was very impressive :D Thank you again
Litle tips: cover whole coconut in plastic bag and put it in freezer. Let it freezing in whole night. Next day, knocks coconut slightly whole round and than more and more hard. After break the coconuts. You will get white round coconut without the brown skin.so it’s easy to remove that brown skin .
great video. thank you. want to add that the coconut water is extermely effective at fighting off the things that make us get colds and what not. I would keep it too
Yes, but water from matured coconuts isn't good. It tastes bad so it's not worth keeping. It's also not as effective as young coconuts in treating colds or whatever shit happens to us.
I have seen two of theses recepis. the pulp if the cocnut has nothing after all the milk is taken out. it is not flour. It is fry and fit for only animal food. We use them to clean tiled floors.
Many thanks for the recipes. I don,t use canned foods of any kind any more so your work really helps to learn how to make this 2 at home . I know through different groups of consumers that thousans of people are now triyng to avoid pre-made foods so it is great to have recipes for every possible thing. If you read this maybe you could share the brand of your beautiful grinder as well ? Thanks any way
we always to do this..making hot oils to our hair...but not this kind of process..imagine getting those coconut flesh from the shells..lol..you can do it using kaguran/coconut scraper....but i still love the video..I learned a lot:)
Very long process for just a small amount of whipped cream. Also, powdered sugar is not good for you. It was healthy until you added that. Usually vegans use maple syrup or dates for sweetening.
+Tiffany Boone Do you do anything special to the coconut water? I've only tried the coconut water from the grocery store and haven't tasted one I liked. It would be wonderful to make use of this water for something yummy. I make date paste - dates blended with water to a paste consistency - in bulk & keep it in a jar in the fridge for adding to recipes by the spoonful. You could substitute that for the powdered sugar but it would darken the cream. I have a problem with agave - "... folks with blood sugar issues (about 80% of folks over 25) who are avoiding sugar have been scammed into thinking agave is a healthy sweetener for them. While it is true that agave is low in sugar, agave is very very high in fructose. The concentration of fructose in agave is actually higher than in high fructose corn syrup (HFCS)!" www.thehealthyhomeeconomist.com/agave-nectar-latest-health-food-scam/
expectant1 fructose is a sugar. So if something is high in fructose it is high in sugar. I don't know why this confuses people. I learned it in middle school science...
If you buy a whipping canister you can put the entire can of coconut milk in it and it will whip up into whipped cream without having to separate the water from the fat. That way you get much more cream and quickly. The whipped cream dispensers that do this are sold on Amazon.
@@Jyotishsr1982 whatevs.. but she shouldn't waste that coconut .. food waste is a real thing .. and if you keep throwing it.. it will take toll both on the environment and your body
After all that work for that little bit of cream it had better taste out of this world .Personally I will stick with the Master Vegan recipe much more doable and just great using maple syrup for sweetener.
How about buying a can off full coconut cream with the cream already separated on top. So much less work! And costs the same as buying 2 coconuts. Same cost less time.
This is one of the most thorough videos I have ever seen!
Instead of using a bowl before refrigerating, put in a plastic pouch. When coconut cream solidifies, it would be easier to separate it from the water by simply tearing the bottom of the plastic pouch to let out the water.
Please reduce the use of plastic pouches/bags
Nah.. what she did was better... Avoid using plastic.. don't pollute the environment
For everyone whose complaining that she wasted the coconut's water, she's explained to numerous posters that matured coconuts water goes bad really quickly and doesn't taste really good.
Yes, i agree....
But anybody can consume it immediately na ...what is the need to waste it... it the most nutritious thing.. nothing can justify any kind of wastage...
It taste yummy tho
I buy coconut water here and leave the pulp to the vendor. Refrigeration keeps water fresh for about 5 days. It's super healthy
Thanks for the video 🙏 I tried it the whipped cream came out well.

A potato peeler works great to get the brown skin off.

Geeze calm down, matured coconut water does NOT taste good....I'm Caribbean, I know what I'm saying... Leave her alone! Great video
Freeze the coconuts over night, let them thaw and the refreeze them overnight and when you start hitting it with the hammer it will separate from the brown skin.
Really. Thanks for that tip. Will try it out
Merci. Sometimes I cut my fingers by removing the brown skin. I'm going to do it in the way you say.
Google coconut scraper... there are machines as well as hand tools to scrape coconut... you don't 'peel' coconut, you scrape them

The title is a bit confusing.
Coconut itself is vegan, because it is not an animal or animal by product.
the whipped cream is bean because of the coconut
Thanks...

Powdered sugar isn't healthy? What are you talking about? It's just sugar. It won't kill you.

It is actually a straight icing spatula, not a knife.
How about buying a can off full coconut cream with the cream already separated on top. So much less work! And costs the same as buying 2 coconuts. Same cost less time.
Yes, provided you can get canned coconut milk without additive and still can separate into cream and liquid.
