I think you could as you can choose a key but it doesn’t work very well as white is a common colour. Green or Blue is best
P.S you are right this technology was likely to be used more than 40 years ago and likely not available technology for the public. Yes this new upgrade of iMovie is excellent

Excellent video tuition. I C you physically have to record yourself with an actual green or blue background. I say this as I first thought an actual green and blue screen was built into the app.
If you have a nice green sheet (with no creases) and good lighting then it's awesome.

i am quite familiar with green screen effects already on my computer. chromo key effect, rotobrush tool etc. i use to do alot of experiment on it of myself. but now im into animations.
but its really good that phone has this feature. although i dont have it yet. i'll be possibly be getting the 11 pro soon. this could be very useful for my future animation.
I was amazed how easy it was. Might have to invest in a large green sheet as I'm thinking of using it for my new Intros and End screens.
@@LurgsHowToGuides create your own. buy your self sheets of green cardboard. i remember watching a tutorial On that long time ago when i was into it. maybe then you can make a video on how to DIY your own green screen for a cheap price ;)

I don’t have a green screen but would a green blanket work?
Definitely. That's all I use now, you need to try and iron out any big creases if you can. I think a large felt sheet would be perfect.

Is there no way to move the green screen video around? Like to the corner, or does it have to stay in the middle?
If you edit the green screen clip as a standalone footage then you can zoom in and move it around, save that as a new clip then reimport that as your new green screen
Lurgs How To Guides with just the green screen clip in iMovie it has the pinch to zoom option but that’s all it does is zoom in I can’t make it smaller.
Hi I have iOS 10.3.3, (iPhone 5c) and it is just showing me rectangles and other shapes do you know how I can update the app if it does not say "update in the App Store?
I doubt you can do an update, they stop supporting old models. I have an old iPad and that stops doing App updates as they don't work. Sorry.

Mine don’t work 🥲 I have a video had has a green background and The foreground is dark colors with no green at all.
Yet, the video doesn’t wanna put itself on the green, no, it wants to be put on the blacks and orangish yellows for some reason.
Try tapping elsewhere on the green after a reset

You said there was a video to get rid of shadows or the spots on your green screen and this is some kind of click-bait to just show a bunch of your videos without that one. Where is it?
Don’t remember ever saying that, it’s not clickbait it’s a green screen video plain and simple. Any green sheet needs ironing or use a proper green screen background. I haven’t got any other videos on green screen, this is it.
