    Someone parked a motorcycle in front of my door and it did not detect it but everytime I walk out the door it alert me. It’s frustrating to be alerted about myself but not a whole motorcycle that does not belong to me. I don’t even see a recording of it pulling up

      Look in the settings you can adjust the sensitivity to high. I don't know how far your door is from your camera, without seeing that I would think setting that to High or Max would solve the issue. Depending on the model of camera some now have a "People" mode and if the person on the motorcycle doesn't approach your house may have just not detected him. Start with the sensitivity setting, may be under "Motion Settings", again depends on the model.

      @@safesoundsystemsinc2005 thank you! I messed around with it and somehow after he left and came back I(the nerve of this person) I was alerted this time! I have the battery doorbell plus!

      @@1d33pNdaGam3 Unfortunately the battery powered ones do not record as well as the powered ones. They are less sensitive and only record when things are close or very large and if the battery is low will only record like every 4 minutes. Since it runs on a battery it has to conserve its power. You may consider adding another camera if possible closer to the front that plugs in or a solar powered camera. I have a couple customers use the small indoor stick up cameras inside like on a window ledge facing the area outside they want to cover. amzn.to/45NOq0N They are not very expensive and usually there is a plug somewhere near the windows. They are not the most "pretty" thing to look at but they work very well.

      @@safesoundsystemsinc2005 thank you for the information. I will definitely check it out. Had I known which camera would’ve been the best for me, I would’ve chosen better. This is my first ring camera.

      @@1d33pNdaGam3 I understand there are so many makes and models out there it makes it tough. If you have an existing doorbell you were replacing, the best choice is the video doorbell pro or pro2, they use your existing wiring and work great. Sometimes they "advertise" like the Ring 3 or 4 and people automatically assume that the bigger the number the newer or better the product. Either way, good luck to you if you haven't already subscribed, please do so I'm only about 100 people away from getting monetized.

    How do u get it to say you are being recorded?

    • @safesoundsystemsinc2005
      @safesoundsystemsinc2005  7 месяцев назад +1

      In the settings tab on the camera you are trying to do that you should see Motion Detection which should be on for the camera to record, Motion Alerts which chime on your phone, and last should be "Motion Warning", that is the one that you need on. Not all models of Ring cameras are compatible.

    Hi so the spot light plus battery cam has a motion warning ?

    • @safesoundsystemsinc2005
      @safesoundsystemsinc2005  2 месяца назад

      Yes they have a motion warning if you want so if someone steps in front it will say something to the sort of "You are being recorded".

      There is a manual switch on the app you can turn the lights off, not sure that is the question, but should be in the settings.

    Why am I not getting any motion detections?

    • @safesoundsystemsinc2005
      @safesoundsystemsinc2005  11 месяцев назад

      Could be several issues. First make sure when you hit the "Settings Gear" on the camera that the motion detection is blue. You can turn off the ring alerts, the motion alerts and motion warnings, but if you turn of motion detection the camera is basically disabled. If that is checked go to "Motion Settings" Look at the motion sensitivity and turn it all the way up, check the schedule make sure you don't have the notifications blocked for certain times of the day, Check the "Edit Zones" make sure the area you are trying to capture is in the blue. Lastly check the camera itself, a little Windex on a paper towel, then clean the lens. Could be it is being blocked by bug goop, spider webs, or just dirty.

      Depending on the model of camera you have, in the settings gear, you should see motion Detection, Alerts, and Warning. Click on the Warning and when people step into the detection area, the camera will tell the person. Not all models will do this but most of them from the last year or so should have that feature.
