As a 20yr leo have responded to a lot of door bell or any camera in reach that got ripped off the wall and quite a few had this function enabled as the 1st thing crooks do is freak out, when confronted with a warning like this. Fact is people up to no good nowadays will now block, destroy or even steal these door bell cameras before committing crimes etc. Would advise everyone to get a dedicated security camera that are out of reach. A beep would be better as stealth is the key to good video captures.
@@Kevin-mi2xj yeah would be a better option than installing a dedicated alarm system just for this feature. We already have a door camera and it's excellent we want to upgrade to more cameras but we need a type of sound to go off during detection at night. It's more common for people to continue a break in if there is only a camera as opposed to noise
Very helpful. The recording was driving my neighbor crazy when she would walk bu
It looks like they moved the button for motion warnings into the “smart responses” tab. Hope this helps!
Can you leave a link to which model camera this is?
In this video, we are using the ring floodlight camera 2.0. Here is a link for $159 amzn.to/3SQK7x5
Can you put these on a schedule to only use it at night?

Do you know if we can turn it on only between certain times? Not really useful during the day, but at night it would be handy
I am trying to find this out as well. Seems like a feature it should have but not sure why it doesn't?

@@phillip1371THANK YOU
would be nice to enable only at night
I think you might be able to if you go to device schedule and setup a motion schedule as well
But then it wakes you up. And it's mostly a cat or a fox causing it to go off.
mine doesn't have that slider option. Is there another way to activate it?
Are you on the highest software? What model camera do you have? I’m using the ring floodlight camera 2.0 in this video
Mine doesn’t have that slider option but my camera most definitely gives that warning. How do I turn the warning off??
@@The-DIY-GuideAnd yes I just double checked app store I have most recent software.
Mines disappeared I'm here to see why the heck do I have to go through smart responses to toggle it on and off now?
I know I am
