This is super helpful to me as a new player who's already loving this game. I had no idea how to tell which expansion or set a card belonged to so that's really cool to know. Thanks for doing this!
As someone who enjoys MTG but it is overwhelmed by the pure amount of cards and abilities to remember and tracking points with dice and tapping and all that stuff I have a feeling I'm going to adore this game. The only being able to summon a creature on it's own color is going to take a while to get used to but overall it looks so fun
Hi Moonfassa, can I also ask: It seems to me that these devs are the most generous devs in the industry. We basically pay $20 for the game, it's easy over time to unlock full content without all the DLC. Plus there is the Pandora format which contains all cards from all the expansions, even for those who only bought the base game. Why isn't everyone singing the praises of the devs who seem to be paragons of generosity? Plus there's a weekly blog update. I'm blown away that the $20 price tag is what is keeping people away. $20 is gone after 2 McDonald meals. I think Faeria is worth a lot more than 2 McDonalds meals. Do you agree with this sentiment?
Haha I definitely agree, but most people see that DLCs are involved and immediately assume its pay to win. Also they don't like that the DLCs require you to play to get the cards since they're paying extra for them. But honestly, it's so quick to get all the cards. I think it's not the best business model since people looking in, see and assume all this. But realistically, the business model is absolutely fine. I've spent over 1000 hours on it now and couldn't recommend it more 😄
You can play special coop missions with a friend. They won't be the regular gamemode since you have to tuck an extra player on the board. Those missions also give the ai some special cards
@@Moonfassa Hmm any clue as to why there is no 2v2? Mechanics of the game? Also if we start playing online does it matchmake us with a random 3rd then? Thanks for the super fast replies btw. 🙂
@@Neurotripsicks 2v2 is only a special gamemode for AI missions so unfortunately can't play against people. Most of the focus of the game is 1v1 and there's a bunch of solo missions too. If you're only playing for coop that might get you 10 hours out of the game, maybe less. There is a randomized replayable daily coop challenge that some people get really into
I watched this but I have one stupid question: Do developers support this game? The last DLC/Expansion was in 2019 and we have 2021, so it seems that Faeria is at the beginning of falling down into stagnation with content.
It has been a loong time without content and that has been the biggest complaint among the community. The devs have been focused on their other game Roguebook in all that time. There are still weekly Faeria blog posts by one of their team, and frequent tournaments with prizes that they give out so we are pretty hopefull that they will return to Faeria once Roguebook has released in June and maybe some bug patches. No guarantee of course but in the meantime, the meta is pretty diverse and new archetypes are still managing to make their way into competitive games occasionally. It's a completely fair concern though

Perfect! Thank you for taking the time for this.
Thanks for taking the time to create this tutorial, it looks like a neat & unique strat game.
It is yeah, I've come from other card games and chess and things and this has by far been my favourite 😄
@@Moonfassa Thanks. I am buying this game because of Pandora. I'm a fan of limited formats, more variety that way.
Im getting this game based on this guide. Really well explained. Deffo gonna sub to you !!
Thanks 😄 Hope you enjoy, I cant praise it enough haha
This game is SOOOOO much more involved than Roguebook which is its offspring. a Lotta work. Had I known I don't think I would have bought it
A great game just bought the lot for 28 dollars and i rate it better than monster train easily

Digital games certainly clean all of that stuff up nicely. I used to really like MTG until Faeria changed my world views 😄
Great intro. Thx for the help. I just bought this game on Switch sale.
Just purchased, looking forward to watching this
Thanks for making these! Super helpful.
Part 3 is coming soon, hopefully by next week :D
Great vid mate, really well organized and explained. Cheers!
Awesome video, great job :)
Another Faeria legend 👀
Thanks 😄
Exceptionally good video for beginners, well explained and thank you.
Thanks so much. Super helpful!

Thank you sir, very helpful video!
Since it's now part of the SALE for 20$ with all the DLCs, I bought it. I hope I get really good mileage on this one.
Good job man
Thanks 😄
Great video. I'm getting this tonight. Does it have the option to play coop with a friend against the AI for practice?

@@Moonfassa Oh nice. Me and my friend are old school Magic players and were interested in getting this. Is there a 2v2 in any mode?
@@Neurotripsicks Awesome, I also came from mtg and had a lot of fun with the coop a long time back. Sadly no 2v2 though

For the algorithm!
Yooo! Preach it, moon! 99 subs, too! I will sub now with my other account to be your 100th.
Hey thanks 😄 Yaaay 100!
Wait you can still place a land near your opponent land because im pretty sure i couldnt do that when ive played the game last year
That's been a thing since faeria moved away from using gold and action points 😄

😁👍
Same makers/engine as Roguebook?
Same devs yup! Completely different game mechanics though
👍
A legend appears 👀
Tip: get to the point. It takes you almost 3 minutes to actually talk about the tutorial.
Sorry to disappoint 🙃
