- Song written and performed by Warren Wilken. Photos by Dawson Public Power District in Lexington, Nebraska. It is a tribute to retired lineman Walt Wilken and all the linemen who work to bring us safe, reliable electricity.
Who would give this a thumbs down? We’ll leave your power off, save you for last.
Somebody gets to be first and someone gets to be last!!!!!😡😡😡
Both my sons just finished lineman school and I am so very proud of them and the linemen that they will work and continue to learn from. These are great men and women who risk life and limbs so that we have comfort. Warren's song was awesome! Thank You...
Been in the Trade close to 20 years, this is hands down the best linework song I've ever heard!!! Thank you!
some men that i have known, felt the fire in the wire, turn to fire in their bones... such a scary thing... soon to be an apprentice lineman, and have a newfound respect for what the line crews do... cant wait to start work, wish me luck!
Wow! What a soulful telling of your story. Reminds me to be grateful for all those who take care of our utilities. Sending this now to some of them…
My 1st years as an Electric Lineman were spent chasing these ice storms in western Kansas & Nebraska. I cherish those good times but I don't wish to live through them again!!! Enjoy!!!
Hands down the best one I’ve heard yet!
Wow that is an awesome song. 9yrs & still going
Godspeed Mr Wilken. The song and vid are wonderful!
Warren--you put a tear in the corner of my eye this morning. You are a good man, a faithful son and a true artist. Hope to see you this Christmas...the upstairs couch is reserved for you and there's a Martin on the wall waiting for you my friend. Mike C.
Brings back memories
