That wasn't to safety regs. Normally he would go up on a bucket and clip in when he got there. One slip of his hand hold and he would fall to his death. Anything over 10 feet needs to be clipped in.
I’m a JL and would rather climb up and not clip in. I don’t mind clipping in when I get where I’m going to work at but if you climb a 200ft tower and have to fight those stupid ass lanyards all the way up and down your wore out before you get there. When your tired more mistakes happen. It should be up to the Lineman how they want to climb.
I’ve freeclimbed and climbed clipped in, i say for the most part clip in because what’s more important a job or your family. It doesn’t matter who you are, the most experienced have fallen before. Most companies nowadays require 100% tie off anyways due to the high amount of deaths many years ago.
You probably dont care at all but does anyone know of a trick to get back into an Instagram account..? I was dumb forgot the password. I love any tips you can give me.
@Coleman Derek thanks for your reply. I got to the site through google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff atm. I see it takes quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
On the west coast a pre apprentice starts at $36.20 an hour. It's not uncommon for journeymen to be making $150,000 to $200,000 with over time. Plus high job satisfaction.
