It takes a special breed to do what we do. I have been a lineman for over 42 years now and have been called to numerous Hurricane, Tornado, Fire and Ice storms. We do it because we love it and it is in our blood. I missed many sports activities when my kids were growing up. When the power is out, we are on our way. A big thank you to the BAND STEELE for such an amazing song. May God Bless Each and Every Lineman out there and their families.
My husband Buzz King missed so many holiday dinners with us because the power went out somewhere in Grant County and he was called out. His mindset was if he didn't go they wouldn't have heat, lights and be able to sit down to dinner with their families. Sometimes he was gone for a couple of days, lots of times, 12 to 24 hours. He passed away in June of this year and we played this at his celebration of life. It really hit home to many. His crews were young guys like these in the video. He was a line foreman for 45 years. His crews worked hot. Miss him. God Bless all of those who are still working.

Thank you for a wonderful song dedicated to our Linemen. These men and women risk their lives everyday, work hard in all different kids of weather and elements just make sure we have the luxury of power. These hard working people are our unsung heroes.
My son Louis John, just left this morning as he heads to Lineman school in Denton TX , a 15 week college program. Please keep him in your prayers . I am such a proud mother to know the sacrifice ,unselfishness and dangerous career my son is willing to take on. When he mentioned what he wanted to do I was so proud of him and nervous to say the lease, but I know in my heart this is a calling for him, I believe it’s a calling from the Lord. So how this all got started because my son was trying to figure out what he wanted to do career wise , being he’s still young (31)... a friend of his is a lineman and introduced him to this career and said theres a demand for lineman’s , he said pay is great and very rewarding, and this is where this all got started. Thank for such a beautiful song , prayer to all the lineman especially those heading to Louisiana and Mississippi to repair lines. We are forever grateful. God Bless you all and thank you .🇺🇸🙏🏻
I was a lineman and came from a family of lineman. I got hurt and was never suppose to walk again. it just you he's my heart to hear about the true story about a lineman. God bless you for this song.
My youngest grandson is a lineman. He's shipping out for Louisiana later today. Our prayers go out to Cody and his brethren. May God set a hedge of protection around them all!
Starting my second week of helper school today. Proud to be a Centerpoint Energy employee. Rest in peace to those who gave their lives to get our lights back on.
Excuse me... you ARE heroes! As a (retired) medical professional, I can tell you that electricity is VITAL to hospitals, all medical facilities, home patients dependent on oxygen or respirators, or other medical devices powered by electricity. When the power goes off, the countdown begins! Backup generators can only last so long. You DO SAVE LIVES!
That's exactly who ya'll are and what you do. You save lives at the risk of your own. You leave the comfort of home and family not knowing when or if you'll come back. You walk into a war zone without knowing what you'll see, but you do know it will be with you forever, and when the call comes again, you go. Heroes!!
You, my friend, are saving more lives than you realize. Many are in need of life saving equipment, heat, and myself with MANY others DEFINITELY DO call you Heros. Thank you!!!!
This song gave me chills my son is a lineman and we lost one of our own here a couple years ago …knowing that my son puts his life on the line everyday is scary. I pray not only for him every time a storm rolls in but every lineman and woman. This song is a beautiful tribute and honor to our utility workers ❤️❤️❤️🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I do not have the words to adequately express the amount of selflessness a person must possess to willingly choose a dangerous career for the sake and benefit of others, but I am forever thankful! Life has a funny way of showing you what you lost when it's too late, and I will forever regret not knowing the definition and importance of this job sooner. To all Linemen and their families, we are forever indebted to you for your sacrifices and service. I have experienced my own personal loss of a Lineman, Rest in Peace Lachlan!

Thank you boys we flip our lights on without a second thought of you boys putting your life on the line. Without the linemen the rest oh is would be without the power to live their day to day lives. Thank you with much love and respect to climbing those poles and turning our lights on.
Thank you for a wonderful song dedicated to our Linemen. These men and women risk their lives everyday, work hard in all different kids of weather and elements just make sure we have the luxury of power. These hard working people are our unsung heroes.
Definitely agree
For my brother who loves what he does. May these guys and gals be watched over by angels and get home safely. Thank you for all you do🙏🏼
My son Louis John, just left this morning as he heads to Lineman school in Denton TX , a 15 week college program.
My daddy is a lineman and I broke into tears because of this song.Just an amazing song!!
Starting my second week of helper school today. Proud to be a Centerpoint Energy employee. Rest in peace to those who gave their lives to get our lights back on.
Jonah Davis i applied online at Centerpoint for a helper, do you need a cdl before hand?
Cool song, 18 years, almost brings a tear to my eye, but we aren’t heroes. The real heroes are saving lives.
It's in your bones an blood or at least for me it is
I couldn’t imagine the loss of anybody. My dad has been a lineman close to 32 years now and I pray for him and his crew to return to their family after storm work. It does take a special person to risk his life for strangers.
Lol it pays a shit ton. Never met a single lineman in ten years in the trade that cares about helping anyone

It's a shame that you haven't encountered any that genuinely work to help others, but money should never be the sole motivator. Regardless, this profession requires people who are willing to risk their lives and make many sacrifices, which sets them apart from the general population. All the best to you!

I hope you never have to, it's difficult under any circumstance, but Blessings to you, your Family, and your Father's Work Family! I have no doubt your Father has made a lot of sacrifices in that length of time, but I wish him continued safety and enjoyment of his job. His service and dedication is much appreciated, and all the best to all of you!

when I first heard this song I was amazed at how true and sincere it was. I thought of all the linemen that have fallen. Although I don't know anyone who is a lineman, I knew it would take great courage to work on those lines and know that you may not come back one day and still keep working on them. R.I.P to all the fallen lineman. Amazing, just amazing.

We just laid my cousin to rest last week. He lived his life on the line proudly and ultimately gave the line his life. Please pray for his mother, father, and two sons who are 3 and 5.
Thank you for this song it is so meaningful my husband and father are both lineman and people don’t realize how dangerous this job is. I pray everyday for their safety along with all the other lineman out there!
Bo and Ben, I think of this song so often. I guess more than it should. Our little town, Flat Gap , KY ( Paintsville Kentucky) has been hit so hard by the ice storm and rain so hard. I am so thankful so all the lineman that have come to serve our little community. One special lineman, Scott Spencer in whom fell 27 fell from a pole that broke in which he was repairing the lines. He is from Campton, KY. He suffered two broken arms and a broken shoulder and other scrapes and bruises. It is amazing what these men do for us! The risk their life and the unknowing if they will even return home just for us! I am so thankful Scott Spencer made it with just a few broken bones. May God Bless All the Lineman!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you for Good Songs.
My father is Lineman. When I was young, I had a dream to work as a father. And now I'm taking Lineman in the Provincial Electricity Authority of Thailand.
