It’s alright, but I really wish it had the new transmission from the 2E. You can tell she wants to move, but that 59km/h max really hurts. DM53 is really nice, but I often miss the post-pen the CR2s get. Overall, more like a 2.5 than a 3, but that makes sense since it’s just a trainer model to get the crews ready for the 3.
I don't see the reason to play British top tier now that abrams has 5 sec reload. The 3 td would be worth it if it had the 5 sec reload in my opinion but as it is right now, no its not.
Hopefully, with the upcoming changes for the Challengers they are much better, they are so fun to play but I also understand why many dislike them, they have a lot of potential though. This didn't age well. lmao 💀

Quick summary cus where I am it’s late: Engine-Should be the CV-12-9A giving the Challenger 3TD a speed around 69-70kmph Weight-Should be 66.5 tons rather than 62.5 due to increased armour, new electronics and new gun Armour-Should be more effective, enough to make the turret cheeks completely invulnerable based off of comparisons between Farnham (new armour) and Dorchester (Reg Challenger 2 armour) With Gaijin saying that they’re going to update the Challengers in the next update I hope these changes make it in, the Challenger 3 in warthunder is held back from being truly competitive by Gaijin modelling it inaccurately
The L55A1 of the CR3 is meant to be able to fire DM73, a significantly more powerful round that cannot be fired by the significantly older gun of the Abrams. If that ever gets given to the Challenger...
War thunder has the Challanger 3, which is still not in survice, but they couldn't add the F18(U.S. NAVY Fighter Jet), which has been in service for years.
It’s unfortunate that the only benefit of running a challenger, the 5 second reload, is no no longer special since the Abrams has it too. Why even use a Chally when an Abrams does everything better now? Other than for the fans of the tank being a reason to play it, the 3 11.7 challengers have genuinely no redeeming qualities.
Because their turrets aren't asymmetrical freaks unlike the abrams. Also Gaijin gimped the Challys big time when it comes to the mobility and the protection of the DL2 armour packages. Those huge blocks you see covering the side of the tank are a mixture of ERA and external composite being able to withstand multiple hits from up to 30mm saboted projectiles but Gaijin just slapped on 30mm of KE equivalent and called it a day. But oh well, it's British and that doesn't make gaijin money.
It's just a shame that in WT... it's missing it's Challenger 2 armour... and the Challenger 2 is missing lots of armour. Officially making the Challenger 2 ingame more armoured than the Challenger 3 ingame and neither representing 50% of the actual vehicle. Only Gaijin could do that. Oh well... Gaijin is not reality. If it was, the T-90M (War thunder's most "armoured" vehicle) would be getting destroyed by the main gun of a Bradley in a 1 vs 1 lol.
@@pigup1661 lol The tank had the surprise. The Bradley was approaching the T-90M but the T-90 was in defilade. The T-90 took a shot and missed, the Bradley quickly spotted the T-90 and just kept firing it's auto cannon at the T-90 at 20 meters away. The Bradley kept moving and the T-90 took another shot, missed again. Meanwhile the Bradley is moving around but has not stopped firing at the T-90. The T-90 suddenly catches fire (Fuel tanks and small arms are ruptured) and the turret uncontrollably just spins around. Meaning the inside control mechanisms have been damaged... meaning rounds have penetrated the front of the T-90 turret (the most armoured part... the part facing the IFV). The T-90 then tries to run away and gets stuck in a ditch. So, the Bradleys autocannon penetrated the most armoured part of the tank where there is sensitive equipment and crew and completely disabled it ON THE INSIDE. It did not even need to use a missile to achieve this. So next time you bounce off a T-90M in war thunder... just remember that if the T-90M is that strong ingame and in real life western tanks are 300% more armoured than a real T-90M... Western tanks are bad ass no matter how much Gaijin say otherwise 🤣

The only good thing about the Chally 3 is that you fire DM53 with 5 second reload. Once Americans get the M829A3 this advantage would be moot.
The brits will still have the advantage of not having one-death-leaver shitters in Click-bait and AIMs composing 2/3 of their team

So, how many keyboards does one need to level chally 3?
Just 4 minimum which is a huge upgrade from other challengers where you need a minimum of 46 keyboards
Is your camera shake set to 100?
