Hi there. Thanks for the great content. What do you think of Jeffsy sizing? I am planning to order a Jeffsy Core 2 and I’m 182cm (5.97”) basically they only have XL left on pre-order for April 2022 delivery (UK). According to Size chart (173-183cm L / 183-193cm XL) I fit at the end of the L and bottom of XL. Do you think XL will be way too big and I should wait for L to be back in stock? Texted YT and they said I could go for either size but interested what you think after riding the bike. Thanks
@@TysRides Thanks for your response. I guess I will just have to wait as I am looking for a long term bike so it has to be right. Just wonder when the stock be back. Even on XL it shows delivery April 2022 so hopefully there is a chance I can get a bike for next summer.
He had just put that bottle on prior to the ride. He typically rides with a pack but is trying to go without. I think he is trying to find a bottle that is smaller or shaped differently. That's probably something we should have mentioned. With this bike, it's difficult to get a water bottle to fit unless you get the actual bottle from YT...
I have this in the 27.5 version and there is barely any room for a water bottle. YT sells a water bottle and cage specific for this bike, but the combo is $50.
It would probably get the job done but if I were going to get a mountain bike that I could also commute on, I'd probably get a hardtail. This bike is a more of a trail bike. I wouldn't spend $3k on a mountain bike unless I intended to use it for mountain biking.
I disagree slightly. I own a 2017 hard tail and I've been looking to go full suspension. I can't decide if i want to go full Enduro or trail bike with Enduro traits. A lot of what I'm learning, i know very little about and i don't know what the upgrade will feel like because i don't have a bike shop near me with something similar in stock. Ive learned from this video that breaks and drive train on this base model are better than what advertising would have you think. Especially when coming from and older bike. So I'm spec'ing all the best components on bikes i can't get yet because of inventory and the truth is a base model might actually feel worlds better and i don't need to start on a top tier bike right away. It helped me coming from a hard tail.
@@swiftaudi I appreciate this. When I got my Jeffsy about three years ago, I was also coming from a hardtail. When it came time for a full suspension, all the other bikes I was looking at with a similar builds were at least $800 more. I have since worn out the original build of my Jeffsy and re built the whole bike but I am still having an absolute blast riding it and do not regret that my first FS bike was a Jeffsy...
@@swiftaudi I'm referring to a person comparing a hard to full suspension. It's apples and oranges. It is the same as comparing a Corolla and Tacoma. They are not in the same category and to be asking a noob the differences is like asking a none year old the to compare the Corolla and Tacoma. I would say by a base model. They are good. Just don't compare airplanes to boats.
@@TysRides I'm not dissing the Jeffsy, it's a great bike and I know ex-racers that have only one bike, the Jeffsy. A FS bike rides different than a hardtail. I don't believe you should compare the ride of FS to a hardtail ever. it's a Corolla compared to a Tacoma, not the same vehicle class.
i just placed my order for mine. only i got the 27.5 version. cant wait
Such a dialed bike for the price!
same!
great bike man, looking into getting one soon. what bike size did you take for your height?
That's my buddy. He is like 5"9 and gotc a medium. I'm 6"2 and got an XL. Each of our bikes fit perfect.
@@TysRides I'm 6'4" a xxl would be good then?
@@chaserichardson6976 I would say so. I'm 6"2 and the bike fits perfect. I'd go with a XXL for sure!
@@TysRides thanks

I would 100% wait for the Large if I were you. The first bike I ever bought was too big and it never fit right. Bike fit is really important.

@@subcuberecords1 yea they sell out FAST. My buddy ordered this one the day they came available and they sold out in a few hours.
More ride footage plz
Uhh, why does the water bottle hit the shock?

@@shamwowza yep. Same with my 2018 Jeffsy. I got the combo and keep mix in bottle and water in pack. Comes in handy on hot days.

Thanks for your input Ray. People asked for a review of the bike so I did my best to deliver.
