Hi ! New knitter here ,and I really enjoyed seeing your work ! I've been a crocheter for most of my life, but I've really been wanting to learn to knit. And I just bought the night shift shawl too, but I'm afraid to try it yet. I also bought the amber shore shawl because I loved the one Chevyrell made and the colors she used ! Her shawl really finally pushed me over to try and learn to knit. See ya next time !
Cool, just take your time. Also, my first two attempts at trying to learn to knit did not take. I felt like it was so much slower than crocheting. But, it’s a different lighter fabric that you achieve with knitting. That is why I like both knitting and crochet for different projects. I can’t wait to hear what you make. Let me know. 💗🌸💗Marie
I think I'm in love with Noro yarn - I'm totally guessing at the spelling, I've never heard of it, and I'm skipping through this video so I may have missed it if you introduced it prior to the scarf wip. I like that hot pink cat yarn by the Schoppel company.
Annette, It measures 82 inches across the wingspan and 40 inches deep. It weighs 14.35 ozs, I used scraps of leftover sock weight yarn. Thanks Marie💗😊💗
10:51 yeah, yarnbarf . . . Instead, I think I would probably rather buy children's shorty socks, rather than crochet sump'n to put my ball o' yarn in. I usually don't buy balls of yarn cuz they cost too much and a little bit of warm water and liquid fabric softener soak can make any cheap, rough, budget yarn FEEL lug-zuuurious! Oh, yeah, btw, I keep my 1-pounders and other smaller scans In the bags the newspaper comes in. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday are smaller bags for those 5-7 oz red heart skeins; Wednesday, Saturday bags for any skeins of some other brands like Bernat baby or wooly 5 or 6 weight bulkies. They are larger, but not as big as the Sunday, that bag is for the one pounders or larger if that's even possible. Since all the bags are long enough to be tied and to have something for you to wind up and toss the papers with, I have just unstrong A whole scan a yarn retwisting it as I go and stuffing it loosely in the bags because the circumference wouldn't fit, and no, it didn't tangle as I drew yarn from it I just put a bread tie around it loosely to pull the yarn through the opening so I wouldn't have yarnbarf if my bag fell over, and I can neatly place these plastic bags inside any project bag or lay it on a table. One thing you don't want to do is like something heavy on top of it - such as the size 4x sweater or the couch throw that your making when you close up your project bag. If it ends up being one of those wips that gets put away for a long time and potentially coupled with some heat changes could mess up the loft of your yarn, putting some semi-permanent crinks in it that weren't there before. It won't affect your crocheting or knitting much but the twist may be affected such as when you come to a place that looks like it's gonna split on you just give it a little bit of extra twist with your fingers as you go and that area and go ahead and make your stitch or stitches and everything will be fine.
Kaycee, Great Ideas! I love the newspaper bag ideas. What kinds of projects are your favorite to work on? What do yo think about crocheted a pumpkin pillow tutorial? I have been thinking about making one. Do you think people would want to see something like that? 💕😊💕Marie
