I never get tired of playing and performing the music of Cyril Scott. Of course Lotus Land is probably what he is most remembered for and was instrumental in the Exotica Jazz craze of the 50s with covers by Martin Denny, Gene Rains etc. It is a sensual wash of color and I never get tired of playing it. I also love the 2nd mvt Columbine.

We can feel Ravel's influence in both pieces
I love the lotus land. I think I should do that one next.

Likewise
Same, minor harmonic, sounds incredible

An absolute delight, very nicely performed.
Lotus Land is the better known of these two pieces but I think Columbine has more charm. Delightful.
So schöner -- Jazz.
This harmonic language sounds a lot like late Ornstein.
