I finally got to catch them live in Arizona a few weeks on their tour with Xandria (who were also awesome) and Kamelot. It honestly felt more like a Battle Beast crowd than a Kamelot one, which surprised me. They definitely deserve it though, they have great on-stage energy, especially Noora!

I've said it before and i'll say it again. Noora is one of the best female vocalist on the planet. She can do it all. Metal , soft stuff and she is absolutely fantastic live. Her range is just incredible.
I'm currently in a Noora Louhimo loop for 3 weeks now.. and I'm not complaining. Woman is indeed a beast on her craft. Album is shaping to be a great one

If you haven't heard Unleash the Archer's Apex (2017) and Abyss (2020), you should definitely check it out! It tells a continuous track by track story that is fantastically epic and melodically astounding
Some people sing with the voice of an angel. Some people sing with the voice of an ogre. Some people sing with the voice of a pixie or a siren. Noora Louhimo sings with the voice of a dragon. It's as though my ears can actually feel the heat of flames when I listen to her. I LOVE IT!!!!
Noora really is something special. The immense power of her voice during live performances is force to be reckoned with. That comparison is spot on. Last live show I missed, but it was outside festival, that I was able to see from our balcony. So didn't really miss it.
To some extent, yes, soft to power. Her versatility is essential for the diversity of the bands catalogue and shown decently well in Battle Beast. However I think she gets to do more variety outside the band as part of her own endeavors (solo, collaborations, features ect). She sings straight up Pop, Jazz, Blues, Country music and excels in everything. She is particular good at rock and metal due to her voice type but in reality she's all around a great singer. Metal was actually the most recent genre she started singing, her formal training is in Jazz and Pop line. For anyone who appreciates broad spectrum of music styles she's a gift. It unfortunate that the powermetal fans of Battle Beast just really only listen to and appreciate powermetal. If they bring too much different stuff into the band they all bitch and moan about how shit it is, no matter how good it still is. Their last album is representative of this. All if not most of the songs on it are fantastic, just less heavy. They did try some different stuff and soften up the sound a little. As a result alot of powermetal bros heard 1 or two songs and dissowned the entire album as crap. Personally I hope they drop the undeserving powermetal fans like the sack of crap they are and just stick to doing whatever the band want to do. Good music. It might hurt them short term but in the long run, its good songs that last the test of time.
Wish I didn't JUST discover this band. This song is exactly what I needed for motivation. Been going through some major trauma in my personal life and feel like there is no light left...left feeling like I hate every fiber of my existence and really wanted everything to be over in my story in this existence. The pain too much to bear. Also feeling like I don't know where my place is in this world. "My place to rest, my heart and soul..." Yes indeed. The past couple of days I've been listening to all of their albums on repeat while at work. This song in particular really hits me. A new huge fan here.
The legends of old are true, Valkyries do exist! A voice with Power, stamina and iron control, with a beauty to match! I especially loved the final "match-this-if-you-can" growl/roar at the end!

Wish I didn't JUST discover this band. This song is exactly what I needed for motivation. Been going through some major trauma in my personal life and feel like there is no light left...left feeling like I hate every fiber of my existence and really wanted everything to be over in my story in this existence. The pain too much to bear. Also feeling like I don't know where my place is in this world. "My place to rest, my heart and soul..." Yes indeed. The past couple of days I've been listening to all of their albums on repeat while at work. This song in particular really hits me. A new huge fan here.

I usually don't listen to heavy/power metal. I always thought it was cheesy and cliché, but man, Battle Beast executes it SO well that I became a fan either way. What a power woman. When that part prechorus@ 1:00 hits, fucking chills! The intensity!
