It's applicable in certain situations only but as a over riding principle you are completely correct. Areas where I can see it applying would be in clothing and anywhere similar where there is a choice to be made. If a customer says that they don't like the item or that it's not comfortable they are always right. It annoys me when a shop assistant disagrees. I'm buying for me, not for them.

It sucks his helmet off and destroys the engine, but he lives and in one piece. An airport worker who gets too close to a huge commercial jet, on the other hand, is reduced to unrecognizable chunks no bigger than an American football. The engine is completely destroyed, leaving just a huge hold and his remains. The color is what makes it especially disturbing because his remains don’t look like hamburger, which is muscle tissue with some fat and is exsanguinated before it’s cut up. This poor man’s pieces are much brighter red with patches of other colors.
If you’re curious about the guy who survives the jet engine, make sure you include “survives” in your search terms, and do NOT click anything that says “killed” or “dies”. The page didn’t blur the photo or put a “graphic content” warning.

I have been a flight attendant for 18 years. I don’t think a majority of people realize that if we injure ourselves lifting a passenger’s bag, we are NOT covered by workman’s comp. Not only will the company refuse to pay any medical bills, they also won’t give allowance for time off to heal. We get disciplinary action for being out. That’s why we often times can’t help people with their luggage. It’s safest for everyone involved if we check your bag for you.

I doubt anybody rude enough to expect you to carry their heavy bag cares about your workman’s compensation or lack thereof. The bags are supposed to be weighed before you can even get the “cabin baggage approved” tag. I honestly think it’s only North American Airlines that don’t do that. I fly all over the world and if your hand luggage is more than 7 kgs you have to consign it. But on RUclips American vloggers seem surprised when asked to do this at any airport outside of that region.

He just said , "Put this bag up for me", and moved away.
Now, I get it that he may have some back problems and hence can't lift the bag, but it's heavy for me too! And we both could have done it together, but he wanted just me to do the job.

I'm disabled and pre-board, and I'm still able to stow my rollaway. I make sure it's light enough that I can handle it. I have had a few cabin crew (usually male attendants) offer to stow it for me, and I'm always grateful, but if I can't lift it to shoulder height I shouldn't be dragging it through airports!

First time I travelled in more than a decade (first time as an adult), I couldn’t reach the overhead storage because of my short height and I asked one of the flight attendants to help me with my bag, and he frowned and coldly told me to do it myself. I felt so embarrassed I almost cried . Another passenger immediately got up to help me push it up.
While I understand it’s not your job, helping someone with pushing a bag up together when it’s too high is the decent thing to do.
Not everyone goes through the flight attendants entry exams and gets checked as to whether they’re tall enough to fly.

So i guess it does work company by company as well.

Put these two seated next to each other and free up the rest of the plane for passenger traffic ... ;) But, yeah, these are brilliant! Also, so true about the overhead bags! I remember when I needed help with my bag after surgery, with the operative word (pun and all) being needing HELP, as in, I needed someone to give me an extra hand because one was with a cane, rather than expecting the flight attendant to lift it for me completely. I made sure the bag was as light as possible, too. We each have one bag to lift, and can help each other, but I can see how it adds up quickly if many passengers expect the flight attendants to lift their bags!

I work in hospitality as floor team at a restaurant. You can bet that while we’re nice and polite to you, we will be talking shit to the others if you’re rude to us, so be nice. One of my colleagues works for British Airways as cabin crew and is easily one of the best of us and even they sneak over to the bar to talk shit with the rest of us. 😂
Also to all of our nice customers, never change, lots of us are young and inexperienced and we mess up. It’s horrible when we do and while we may put on brave faces and smile like we’re fine, most of the time we don’t want to cry in front of anyone.
Working in hospitality is HARD, you have to be able to work as a team, rely on other people, communicate, be polite under almost any circumstance and hide any emotion other than happiness from customers.
It’s not always an easy job so think hard about your mental health before going into it, especially if you’re cabin crew because not everyone likes travelling and people will be tired and grumpy.
