    My problems, I learned, started with Iliotibial band syndrome which promoted tendinopathy of the gluteus medius and, too, Achilles tendinopathy.
    I remember the day my physiotherapist showed me that I also have Achilles tendinopathy, he performed on me what this video shows and caused 10/10 pain in the Achilles.
    I'm still not sure how to get out of it. I'm 27, and I feel restricted. With all that going on, I underwent inguinal hernia repair too which helped but the cause of the hernia was doing activity while having an unstable hip (Trendelenburg's gait). I just don't feel like my younger self anymore.
    Growing old will be painful, I suppose.

    Great video. What is the hallmark sign for PHT, Gluteal, and Patellar Tendinopathies?

    • @koshchey4944
      @koshchey4944 2 года назад

      Gluteal tendinopathy pain is almost constant and never goes away. The gluteus medius also easily detaches from the femur, as I have learned unfortunately. Trendelenburg's gait is a positive sign of deteriorated gluteus medius.

      Thanks! Is there a recommendation on how long to advise rest? And do you know if oral NSAID’s are effective as well (compared to topical NSAID’s)?

    Anybody have any suggestions?
    It hurts around the tendon and is occasionally sore to the touch. It hurts after around half a day of working and the pain is in the lower heel and the middle of the tendon, but occasionally I feel it up my leg. walking is stiff and often painful. I also have hEDS. I have to be on my feet 3-7 hours a day. This is happening with compression, athletic tape, and insoles.

    I have tibialis anterior tendonapothy 11 months after surgery. Is that permanent? Can it be reversed ?

    • @koshchey4944
      @koshchey4944 2 года назад

      Sorry to say, tendinopathy is not reversible - tissue has reached the "terminal" stage.
      The damage is not reversible but pain reduction can occur with exercise therapy and strengthening of the undamaged tissues which can grow to "compensate" for the damaged tissue.
      There is no other outlook for tendinopathy except the above, and further wastage. I am sufferer of this - several leg tendinopathies comorbid together.

      Depends on many factors. Strengthening is usually different from sports demands so it can be done concurrently. Start twice a week and check if it impairs your recovery
