If you missed it..KIRBY IS ALIVE from Scream 4 and she needs to return in the next film. Dewey was unfortunately obvious but I still cried. The MOST suspenseful Judy and Wes. So sad and so brutal.

Yep; Dewey had to die - he’s the fan favorite, and they had to make one death have teeth. Sidney will never die - she’s the focal point of the entire franchise, and many have already gleaned that Neve will only sign for subsequent sequels if Sidney’s involvement is thorough.
Amber was the most brutal of the killers in this one and I agree that she did most of the kills. Also I believe Neve Campbell has said or alluded to that she won’t do one where Sidney is the killer.

@Brandon Buggzy Wilson it was originally a question....and because they were ultimately killed by their respective serial killer. Laurie only died once from Michael Myers - it was the beginning of Halloween Resurrection. I don't need to look it up. The only other time she allegedly died was in an accident in-between Halloween 2 and Halloween 4 (3 had nothing to do with her or Michael Myers specific story). It was later shown that she faked her death to hide.
The scene where Amber says "I know" and just straight up shoots Liv is such a well done reveal for Amber because even though we predicted she was one of them, her reveal was shocking since it was out of the blue with her just straight up shooting Liv in front of the others not giving a fuck. Honestly, Amber is one of the best killers in the franchise just for that moment alone. Also her death scene with her getting shot by Gale and being burnt alive and then shot in the head by Tara was awesome. I love this movie, it's tied as my favorite movie alongside the first Scream. I can't wait for the next one :)
She is the creepiest killer in any of the sequels. The way she goes from being a kind of stuffy person, into a manic psychopath, and the way she goes back and forth in the way she presents her personality, from one sentence to the next without being able to really hold onto a sane persona, is really interesting.

That's so cool!!! I'm 15 and this is the first scream movie I've seen in theaters, I still have the tickets from the 13th since I begged my mom to take me the day before it was released everywhere 😆 Can't wait to see the next one!!! I'm so glad I grew up watching the scream franchise

The first time I went to watch the original in theaters, I was in high school and the showing was way too full. Caught it a few days later and it blew my movie mind.

I would love to see a purely meta sequel to these films at some point where someone is killing off the actors from the Scream films. They would all play outlandish versions of themselves, and this would make it possible for all the actors in the franchise, whose characters have been killed off, to return.

I guessed amber first scene when she wasnt killed and the boyfriend i guessed when he started asking questions. So predictable especially if seen all 4 before.

R.i.p to Dewey. Although I wasn't really shocked, something told me it was going to be either him or Gale in this one. I know those 3 where the "Ghostface Busters" but when it comes to slasher, most main characters are not meant to survive that long.
I was kind of bummed when they killed off Judy, I liked her character. Dewey was great in this movie, I remember watching a prediction video before the movie came out, and I think the guy made a great point about Dewey. He predicted that Dewey was going to be the one of the three "legacy" characters to die because he was kind of the backbone of the three of them, Gale and Sidney didn't really have a relationship without Dewey. With Dewey dead, it would bring Gale and Sidney closer together because he had such an impact on both of them. Overall, I love the Scream movies, they are a lot more consistent in terms of quality than a lot of horror series with a ton of sequels.
Judy's death made no sense. Her characterisation was very different from Scream 4. Judy wouldn't have left her pride and joy alone to shower while she goes yo fetch sushi, when his best friend/romantic interest was just brutally attacked (plus someone else murdered the night before too) by someone in a Ghostface costume. Sorry. Judy would have ordered in. The writers were just lazy so they could say they did a broad daylight kill. But it was so obvious as she ran to that porch.

Neve Campbell has been very vocal about not offing Sidney. So I think the biggest possibility is eventually losing Gale which that on its own would break my heart. Also Courtney Cox is already confirmed for Scream 6
Personally, the fact she hasn't become "Ash... housewares" I feel is a missed opportunity. She should have multiple hidden knives, guns, and light weight bullet proof clothing on. If Steven Seagal can get bullet proof kimono made for him Sidney should be able to get something as well.

The most suspenseful scene to me was Judy and Wes' death scene. It just felt like it went on for such a long time and I was clenching my muscles watching that. It really got me. Also, the fact that Judy was killed in broad daylight is insane. The suspense in that scene is the reason it's my favorite. As far as favorite killer, I really like Amber's character. Also, yes... Gale should definitely be left alone. I do not want her to die, lol! I don't think Ghostface would ever give up on trying to kill Sidney, no matter who's behind the mask because that's been the case the entire franchise. I wouldn't mind seeing them switch it up but I don't think that'll happen. The name for the next one should just be sccreammmmmmmm because it goes on forever, clearly. 🤣
I think it was an amazing twist that the "girl of the first scene" ACTUALLY survived till the end! I loved that from this movie. Also I think this one got more brutal than the ones from before, good effects. Favorite "stabbing" scene: Definitely Tara in the beginning.
It's great that Sid is married to Mark from Scream 3. And so happy for the Easter egg that Kirby from Scream 4 is alive. Dewey's death hurt, but was amazing. Mindy is my favorite new character. This is now my new favorite in the franchise.
I've seen this movie a lot, and I've just now heard the "Colonel Mustard" line. And as a fanatic of Clue The Movie, that brings me so much joy. Speaking of which, if Mrs. Movie hasn't seen it, that would make a great reaction. Such a funny movie.
I definitely had Amber pegged from the get-go. By the time they were all at the party, I had Richie pegged, but I was still convinced that there was a 3rd killer (I was hoping we would finally get the cult of Stu, which was an abandoned storyline for an earlier film in the franchise). I was sad to see Dewey go, but I expected it TBH. He did, however, get to go out saving someone else's sister from ghost-face when he couldn't save his own so many years before. I did not expect to see Judy get killed off. I don't know if you all caught it, but there's an easter egg in the movie proving that Kirby from pt 4 survived her attack from that movie. I hope to see her in the next film, just because she was easily my favorite character from pt 4.
Was a little bummed (but that's on me) when Stu wasn't revealed to be Ghostface😅 Saw it as an easy lay-up to have him return as a disfigured, bloodthirsty, vengeful mastermind killer, especially since the opening questions alluded to his work in the original.

This was the first Scream movie where I successfully guessed the killers just as they first appeared on screen outside of their costumes. It was so obvious this time around.
I think a lot of us guess right, but the franchise is so good at making you second guess yourself 😜 I thought it was Jack Quaid just off the movie poster but he was so likeable I was second guessing myself. Amber was a surprise to me. Thought it was a misdirect to have her play the villain again. I started doubting myself 😁
@@lkf8799 The opening scene tells you one of the killers is near the main girl but doesn't kill her so I knew it was Jack Quaid from the first scene, and the "never trust the love interest" line just cemented it for me. Guessing the other killer was tough, but I recognized her from OOATIH and I noticed they gave her just enough screen time so you remember her, but not too much so that she could be off screen and unnoticed. I knew it wasn't the twins because I just don't think they would make black people the killers in current Hollywood, though Mrs. YM&M does make a sound point that it could have been them. I would have been totally shocked if it had.
I was sooo looking forward to watching you guys do this movie. I enjoyed it thoroughly. David Arquette brought it for this movie. He was so good as Dewey in this. He was the whole emotional clue that kept this movie great too. His death was so sad. The girl that played Randy's niece was fantastic in her role too. She brought both the meta and comedy to the movie, just adding to an already stellar movie. Can't wait for the 6th one!
Dewey is the nicest most caring and helpful character in the entire Scream series. He would give you the shirt off his back and you accuse him of being a killer every time

Fun Facts: 1. The Original Scream cast did voice overs Drew Barrymore was the principal on the intercom in the beginning. Also, Matthew Lillard (Stu) was the one in the RUclips channel doing the medal ghostface voice and at the party he's the one that said " Cool house" to Amber when she was walking through. Jamie Kennedy (Randy) was the one that made the comment about the some goofy ass dad is here kicking everone out. Hayden (Kirby), principal Himbry were part of the "For Wes" when they cheered. 2. Also on that RUclips channel the first clip on the side of the screen it was a Easter egg that confirmed Kirby survived from Scream 4. It was her doing a interview about being a survivor. Then below hers there's another clip asking if Stu Macher is still alive or not lol. 3. When Chad picked up the candle stick as a weapon it was reference to when Sidney grabbed a candle stick in Scream 3 to use as a weapon against Roman. 4. I don't know if you caught it or not but in Dewey's trailer he has Tatums ashes next to his gun box and picture of him and Gale. 5. Sidneys husband Mark is Detective Mark Kincaid from Scream 3. 6. Wes Kill Scene where he closed the front door. No one told Dylan that ghostface would be behind him so his reaction to it was legit lol. 7. Even though Mindy said to Wes about his mom being safe but yet they got killed anyways. Two reasons: 1st is they killed the Sherrif and her son as a decoy/distraction to lure the cops away from the hospital their main target was Tara. 2nd reason is the answer to your question about why they were having a party lol. They killed off Wes who is a reference for "Wes Craven" it was there way of having like memorial for Wes Craven in the movie.
Dewey was amazing in this movie and they should incorporate the plot they were going to use for scream 3 where stu is still alive and escapes a psych ward
One thing I appreciate about the opening scene in this one is Tara’s loyalty to her friend. The second she thinks Amber’s life is in Danger she snatched up a weapon and tries to go help her.
One of my favourite little zingers was when Gale was on TV and says something like "coming up after the break, we discuss reuniting with friends" 😉😉😉 a very cute nod to the Friends Reunion.
This whole series is a meta paradise. Case in point: I'm watching you guys react to Scream 5 and an ad for Scream 5 plays right before Dewey's death (showing the scene right before he dies no less). Freaky.
TRIVIA: The line "Somebody's Goofy Dad is Kicking us Out" was voiced by Jamie "Randy" Kennedy who dubbed that line. Also some of the people involved in the Scream movies added their voices to the audio of the Party Scene toast to "WES" including Wes Craven's widow Iya, Henry Winkler, Kevin Williamson and composer Marco Beltrami to name a few. Even Drew Barrymore's voice can be heard in the beginning school scene on the school intercom. Plus Gale asks about Mark and the kids to Sydney. Mark being the detective from Scream 3 portrayed by Patrick Dempsey.
i would kinda love to see a scream movie but from the perspective of the killers and like how they plan it out and like running around to try to take their masks off and appear innocent etc. that could be an interesting suspenseful movie to see like how many times they almost get caught in the act, etc. would be interesting .

Who don't even know about each other, so that one of the killers maybe dies from the hands of another killer and then only later, that killer realizes, that they could have collaborated.... I love the Scream series so much, and this one was a great entry, as well as a strong jumping off point for the new cast. Compared to the 4th movie, I feel like the supporting cast was very strong, in particular the Meeks Twins, but I also think Sam and Tara are a great duo going forward. I have a silly theory that Tara is actually in on the killings, and will be revealed to be a mastermind behind tormenting her sister for abandoning her. But it's probably because Jenna Ortega is such a great actress, and I know she'd nail being a Ghostface. Personally, I want her to stay a "final girl" for the remainder of this series. Out of the cast, I think Jenna, David, and Jack were great, with Arquette acting his ass off and putting in the best performance as Dewey he's had, and what a send off. What I love about it is that he's been through hell, and you can see it on his face with every line delivery, yet there are moments where that "old Dewey," still shines through, and you're reminded why he's such an endearing, lovable character. His death was heartbreaking, but felt incredibly earned. Dewey was always all heart, and it was a given that he'd go out trying to protect someone else. He lost his sister, and I think he never got over not being able to protect her from Ghostface, so he transferred that brotherly protection to Sydney, and since she's Sidney Fucking Prescott, he knows that she's going to be alright. But Sam and Tara? This is all new for them, and he wasn't going to let someone else lose their sister. I know people hate how Dewey died (going back for the head shot), but it's just so, so in line with his character, and I loved it. That framing shot of Ghostface standing over Dewey's body is fucking iconic, and the music complemented the gravity of the moment (losing a Legacy Character after 25 years), extremely well. This movie is great, and Radio Silence made a film that I think Wes Craven would have thoroughly enjoyed. Strong cast. Strong performances. Great tension and suspense, and surprisingly brutal kills. I can't wait for Scream 6! I don't think Radio Silence is going to kill Sidney. They're huge Wes Craven fanboys, and the whole point of this movie was to honor Wes and what he wanted to do with the Scream films, and Wes stated that he'd never kill Sidney, because she is a survivor. More than that, Sidney's growth over these films has been so powerful to see, and I think she inspires a lot of women with her strength, and how she didn't let her trauma consume her or destroy her, or even define who she is. I think it'd be a bad idea to kill off such an iconic and important heroine in fiction, not just genre films. But I also adore Neve Campbell, so I just don't want to see her die. Great reaction video! I loved watching you both react to this franchise, and it's a shame that it's going to be a while before we can get a reaction to a new Scream movie! :(

I think Amber killed Hicks outside and Richie killed Wes inside. If you look at the blood on the blade when ghostface kills Hicks the blood only goes halfway up the knife meaning she's not strong enough to stab deeply. And then Richie killed Wes inside the house because there was no way Amber would have been able to overpower Wes and stab him in the neck.
Also the more I watch it the more I love the twins!! I hope they have a good part in the next movie! Sam I’m not so keen on I just never clicked with her character at all I found her really blah so I wouldn’t be mad if she wasn’t in the next. I hope Sidney & Gale get more screen time too!

I thought HE'S the killer for the last 3 n i've been wrong. Also Mdm in Scream 2022: But i really LOVE Dewey😢 So the truth has been told. It was NVR Dewey! 23:40 i dont know why but i REALLY love that scene. Both their acting were SO gd! I kept changing my mind as to who the killer was. The practical effects were great n gruesome! The original casts were great as always n as we all know but i would say the "newcomers" were brilliant! I got teary eyes in the cinema when the "for Wes" were shown just like "for Harold" in Ghostbusters: Afterlife😢 Its always heartfelt when they paid their tributes to the "backbones" of the film. Mrs. Got it right with her first guesses! Great job! But then the movie makes you second guess yourself. So much fun! They still got it. I also thought the ending was weird with them hanging out around the ambulance with major trauma injuries, like ?? Otherwise, loved it and can't wait for the next one!

I thought it was great that Billy Lomis is the father and that they built up the girl as psychotic. Would be great if it continues with this story. Of course, it is clear that she will not be the killer in the next film. But she really has what it takes to replace Sidney as a heroine. She is on the level of Sidney, but her character can still evolve in any direction. I would like to see her as an absolute psychopath, but on the good side. An antihero, so to speak. Or we will experience in the next movie how the future serial killer develops through her eyes. Maybe both happen at the same time. In the next film she goes deeper and deeper into psychosis and in the following she is the killer. There is now so much potential in the film series again. In any case, she seems to develop a split personality. Would also be a good twist. One personality murders and the other tries to get behind who the killer is. 😁 Btw. Sidney is together with the cop from Scream 4 I think. With him she has the child.
Even though it's Scream 5 and is a sequel it's called just Scream as a commentary on requels like Halloween 2018, Candyman 2021 and the new Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Sequels that ignore every film except the original.

When I tell you I sobbed my heart out in the cinema when Dewey died , and it was my 30th birthday too so you can imagine how upset I was! I’ve loved these movies since I was 6 years old when I first saw the original & Dewey has always been my favourite. I’ve watched it 3 times since then and seen many reactions to it and every single time I sob 😭 I hate the idea that it’s Amber who gets him, the height , the broad shoulders everything is off, I know there’s stunt doubles but stunt doubles are meant to match the figure of the actor so I’m praying in the 6th they rectify it and say there was a 3rd killer all along , hopefully stu 🤞🏻🤞🏻 I know I’ll probably get some comments about how he’s ‘definitely dead’ 🙄 but I’m hoping they bring him back I’ve been hoping for it since the 3rd before they changed the script 😂

I saw this movie in theatres back in February. I absolutely loved it. I’ve seen it so many times since the digital and DVD release. Can’t wait for Scream 6.
Vince is played by Kyle Gallner who is one of the best parts of the nightmare Elm Street remake. He's also in red state which I highly recommend you react to cause that movie is awesome and bonkers.

Fun fact about that burner is the Stu Macher house, the real house its filmed in the burner is always lit. So its literally always on, & I'm pretty sure the director utilized that fact in the scene with Amber. You can also stay at that house as an Airbnb
Amber and Tara were dating in the original script and promotional materials. I don't know why they changed in the final edit. It explains why Amber is so protective of Tara and why Ghostface has the code to Tara's security system.
One thing not ever mentioned is that almost all ghostface have like a signature in how they kill. I.e Stu doubled handed final stab,Amber multi stab,Richie loves being close watching the life drain. Love the detail to make them individual.
I agree with you guys - if the OG stars are to appear in future movies, just have it be a 5-15 minute cameo where they aren't in any danger or threat against them - just there to offer advice to the new crew that are being stalked haha
The actress playing Sam reminds me a bit of Morena Baccarin. And the guy playing her boyfriend reminds me of Joshua Jackson. EDIT: also the girl playing Amber I thought was Christian Serratos from The Walking Dead.

If you missed it..KIRBY IS ALIVE from Scream 4 and she needs to return in the next film. Dewey was unfortunately obvious but I still cried. The MOST suspenseful Judy and Wes. So sad and so brutal.
Dewey's death hurt. Ritchie grows on me more and more. His commitment to playing innocent is great. "Ahhh it's Ghostface. " It's a tie between Judy and Amber for my favorite death. Glad the twins survived. Great reaction.

Yep; Dewey had to die - he’s the fan favorite, and they had to make one death have teeth. Sidney will never die - she’s the focal point of the entire franchise, and many have already gleaned that Neve will only sign for subsequent sequels if Sidney’s involvement is thorough.

Amber was the most brutal of the killers in this one and I agree that she did most of the kills. Also I believe Neve Campbell has said or alluded to that she won’t do one where Sidney is the killer.

Laurie only died once from Michael Myers - it was the beginning of Halloween Resurrection. I don't need to look it up.
The only other time she allegedly died was in an accident in-between Halloween 2 and Halloween 4 (3 had nothing to do with her or Michael Myers specific story). It was later shown that she faked her death to hide.
The scene where Amber says "I know" and just straight up shoots Liv is such a well done reveal for Amber because even though we predicted she was one of them, her reveal was shocking since it was out of the blue with her just straight up shooting Liv in front of the others not giving a fuck. Honestly, Amber is one of the best killers in the franchise just for that moment alone. Also her death scene with her getting shot by Gale and being burnt alive and then shot in the head by Tara was awesome. I love this movie, it's tied as my favorite movie alongside the first Scream. I can't wait for the next one :)
She is the creepiest killer in any of the sequels. The way she goes from being a kind of stuffy person, into a manic psychopath, and the way she goes back and forth in the way she presents her personality, from one sentence to the next without being able to really hold onto a sane persona, is really interesting.
And richie is very good at playing "innocent victim that is scared like everyone else"

The first time I went to watch the original in theaters, I was in high school and the showing was way too full. Caught it a few days later and it blew my movie mind.
I was 8 when the first was out. Didn't go to the theaters so family rented it months later. Ahh those VHS days.

I was kind of bummed when they killed off Judy, I liked her character. Dewey was great in this movie, I remember watching a prediction video before the movie came out, and I think the guy made a great point about Dewey. He predicted that Dewey was going to be the one of the three "legacy" characters to die because he was kind of the backbone of the three of them, Gale and Sidney didn't really have a relationship without Dewey. With Dewey dead, it would bring Gale and Sidney closer together because he had such an impact on both of them. Overall, I love the Scream movies, they are a lot more consistent in terms of quality than a lot of horror series with a ton of sequels.
With them teasing his death in 1-3 it was also time for them to actually commit.
Judy's death made no sense. Her characterisation was very different from Scream 4. Judy wouldn't have left her pride and joy alone to shower while she goes yo fetch sushi, when his best friend/romantic interest was just brutally attacked (plus someone else murdered the night before too) by someone in a Ghostface costume. Sorry. Judy would have ordered in. The writers were just lazy so they could say they did a broad daylight kill. But it was so obvious as she ran to that porch.
Not to mention you could see Judy being stabbed in the trailer. Lol

The most suspenseful scene to me was Judy and Wes' death scene. It just felt like it went on for such a long time and I was clenching my muscles watching that. It really got me. Also, the fact that Judy was killed in broad daylight is insane. The suspense in that scene is the reason it's my favorite. As far as favorite killer, I really like Amber's character. Also, yes... Gale should definitely be left alone. I do not want her to die, lol! I don't think Ghostface would ever give up on trying to kill Sidney, no matter who's behind the mask because that's been the case the entire franchise. I wouldn't mind seeing them switch it up but I don't think that'll happen. The name for the next one should just be sccreammmmmmmm because it goes on forever, clearly. 🤣

I think it was an amazing twist that the "girl of the first scene" ACTUALLY survived till the end! I loved that from this movie. Also I think this one got more brutal than the ones from before, good effects. Favorite "stabbing" scene: Definitely Tara in the beginning.

It's great that Sid is married to Mark from Scream 3. And so happy for the Easter egg that Kirby from Scream 4 is alive. Dewey's death hurt, but was amazing. Mindy is my favorite new character. This is now my new favorite in the franchise.

I definitely had Amber pegged from the get-go. By the time they were all at the party, I had Richie pegged, but I was still convinced that there was a 3rd killer (I was hoping we would finally get the cult of Stu, which was an abandoned storyline for an earlier film in the franchise). I was sad to see Dewey go, but I expected it TBH. He did, however, get to go out saving someone else's sister from ghost-face when he couldn't save his own so many years before. I did not expect to see Judy get killed off. I don't know if you all caught it, but there's an easter egg in the movie proving that Kirby from pt 4 survived her attack from that movie. I hope to see her in the next film, just because she was easily my favorite character from pt 4.

This was the first Scream movie where I successfully guessed the killers just as they first appeared on screen outside of their costumes. It was so obvious this time around.

I think a lot of us guess right, but the franchise is so good at making you second guess yourself 😜 I thought it was Jack Quaid just off the movie poster but he was so likeable I was second guessing myself. Amber was a surprise to me. Thought it was a misdirect to have her play the villain again. I started doubting myself 😁
@@lkf8799 The opening scene tells you one of the killers is near the main girl but doesn't kill her so I knew it was Jack Quaid from the first scene, and the "never trust the love interest" line just cemented it for me.
Guessing the other killer was tough, but I recognized her from OOATIH and I noticed they gave her just enough screen time so you remember her, but not too much so that she could be off screen and unnoticed.
I knew it wasn't the twins because I just don't think they would make black people the killers in current Hollywood, though Mrs. YM&M does make a sound point that it could have been them. I would have been totally shocked if it had.
I was sooo looking forward to watching you guys do this movie. I enjoyed it thoroughly. David Arquette brought it for this movie. He was so good as Dewey in this. He was the whole emotional clue that kept this movie great too. His death was so sad. The girl that played Randy's niece was fantastic in her role too. She brought both the meta and comedy to the movie, just adding to an already stellar movie. Can't wait for the 6th one!

1. The Original Scream cast did voice overs Drew Barrymore was the principal on the intercom in the beginning. Also, Matthew Lillard (Stu) was the one in the RUclips channel doing the medal ghostface voice and at the party he's the one that said " Cool house" to Amber when she was walking through. Jamie Kennedy (Randy) was the one that made the comment about the some goofy ass dad is here kicking everone out. Hayden (Kirby), principal Himbry were part of the "For Wes" when they cheered.
2. Also on that RUclips channel the first clip on the side of the screen it was a Easter egg that confirmed Kirby survived from Scream 4. It was her doing a interview about being a survivor. Then below hers there's another clip asking if Stu Macher is still alive or not lol.
3. When Chad picked up the candle stick as a weapon it was reference to when Sidney grabbed a candle stick in Scream 3 to use as a weapon against Roman.
4. I don't know if you caught it or not but in Dewey's trailer he has Tatums ashes next to his gun box and picture of him and Gale.
5. Sidneys husband Mark is Detective Mark Kincaid from Scream 3.
6. Wes Kill Scene where he closed the front door. No one told Dylan that ghostface would be behind him so his reaction to it was legit lol.

Two reasons: 1st is they killed the Sherrif and her son as a decoy/distraction to lure the cops away from the hospital their main target was Tara. 2nd reason is the answer to your question about why they were having a party lol. They killed off Wes who is a reference for "Wes Craven" it was there way of having like memorial for Wes Craven in the movie.
Dewey was amazing in this movie and they should incorporate the plot they were going to use for scream 3 where stu is still alive and escapes a psych ward

One thing I appreciate about the opening scene in this one is Tara’s loyalty to her friend. The second she thinks Amber’s life is in Danger she snatched up a weapon and tries to go help her.
One of my favourite little zingers was when Gale was on TV and says something like "coming up after the break, we discuss reuniting with friends" 😉😉😉 a very cute nod to the Friends Reunion.
This whole series is a meta paradise. Case in point: I'm watching you guys react to Scream 5 and an ad for Scream 5 plays right before Dewey's death (showing the scene right before he dies no less). Freaky.
TRIVIA: The line "Somebody's Goofy Dad is Kicking us Out" was voiced by Jamie "Randy" Kennedy who dubbed that line.
Also some of the people involved in the Scream movies added their voices to the audio of the Party Scene toast to "WES" including Wes Craven's widow Iya, Henry Winkler, Kevin Williamson and composer Marco Beltrami to name a few. Even Drew Barrymore's voice can be heard in the beginning school scene on the school intercom.
Plus Gale asks about Mark and the kids to Sydney. Mark being the detective from Scream 3 portrayed by Patrick Dempsey.

i would kinda love to see a scream movie but from the perspective of the killers and like how they plan it out and like running around to try to take their masks off and appear innocent etc. that could be an interesting suspenseful movie to see like how many times they almost get caught in the act, etc. would be interesting .

i too have been thinking about this for a long while now
apparently Scream 4 was supposed to have Jill win and then another movie was her as the main character.
I love the Scream series so much, and this one was a great entry, as well as a strong jumping off point for the new cast. Compared to the 4th movie, I feel like the supporting cast was very strong, in particular the Meeks Twins, but I also think Sam and Tara are a great duo going forward. I have a silly theory that Tara is actually in on the killings, and will be revealed to be a mastermind behind tormenting her sister for abandoning her. But it's probably because Jenna Ortega is such a great actress, and I know she'd nail being a Ghostface.
Personally, I want her to stay a "final girl" for the remainder of this series. Out of the cast, I think Jenna, David, and Jack were great, with Arquette acting his ass off and putting in the best performance as Dewey he's had, and what a send off. What I love about it is that he's been through hell, and you can see it on his face with every line delivery, yet there are moments where that "old Dewey," still shines through, and you're reminded why he's such an endearing, lovable character. His death was heartbreaking, but felt incredibly earned. Dewey was always all heart, and it was a given that he'd go out trying to protect someone else. He lost his sister, and I think he never got over not being able to protect her from Ghostface, so he transferred that brotherly protection to Sydney, and since she's Sidney Fucking Prescott, he knows that she's going to be alright. But Sam and Tara? This is all new for them, and he wasn't going to let someone else lose their sister. I know people hate how Dewey died (going back for the head shot), but it's just so, so in line with his character, and I loved it. That framing shot of Ghostface standing over Dewey's body is fucking iconic, and the music complemented the gravity of the moment (losing a Legacy Character after 25 years), extremely well.
This movie is great, and Radio Silence made a film that I think Wes Craven would have thoroughly enjoyed. Strong cast. Strong performances. Great tension and suspense, and surprisingly brutal kills. I can't wait for Scream 6!
I don't think Radio Silence is going to kill Sidney. They're huge Wes Craven fanboys, and the whole point of this movie was to honor Wes and what he wanted to do with the Scream films, and Wes stated that he'd never kill Sidney, because she is a survivor. More than that, Sidney's growth over these films has been so powerful to see, and I think she inspires a lot of women with her strength, and how she didn't let her trauma consume her or destroy her, or even define who she is. I think it'd be a bad idea to kill off such an iconic and important heroine in fiction, not just genre films. But I also adore Neve Campbell, so I just don't want to see her die.

I think Amber killed Hicks outside and Richie killed Wes inside. If you look at the blood on the blade when ghostface kills Hicks the blood only goes halfway up the knife meaning she's not strong enough to stab deeply. And then Richie killed Wes inside the house because there was no way Amber would have been able to overpower Wes and stab him in the neck.

So the truth has been told. It was NVR Dewey! 23:40 i dont know why but i REALLY love that scene. Both their acting were SO gd! I kept changing my mind as to who the killer was. The practical effects were great n gruesome! The original casts were great as always n as we all know but i would say the "newcomers" were brilliant! I got teary eyes in the cinema when the "for Wes" were shown just like "for Harold" in Ghostbusters: Afterlife😢 Its always heartfelt when they paid their tributes to the "backbones" of the film. Not sure if you caught this but there is an Easter egg when Richie is watching RUclips videos on his laptop. There is a recommended video and thumbnail for Kirby from Scream 4 stating that she is a survivor. Perhaps we might see a return of Kirby in Scream 6.
I thought it was great that Billy Lomis is the father and that they built up the girl as psychotic. Would be great if it continues with this story. Of course, it is clear that she will not be the killer in the next film. But she really has what it takes to replace Sidney as a heroine. She is on the level of Sidney, but her character can still evolve in any direction. I would like to see her as an absolute psychopath, but on the good side. An antihero, so to speak. Or we will experience in the next movie how the future serial killer develops through her eyes. Maybe both happen at the same time. In the next film she goes deeper and deeper into psychosis and in the following she is the killer. There is now so much potential in the film series again. In any case, she seems to develop a split personality. Would also be a good twist. One personality murders and the other tries to get behind who the killer is. 😁
Btw. Sidney is together with the cop from Scream 4 I think. With him she has the child.
Even though it's Scream 5 and is a sequel it's called just Scream as a commentary on requels like Halloween 2018, Candyman 2021 and the new Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Sequels that ignore every film except the original.
I am so glad the twins survived!! And this was a great movie I saw a video and honestly it tells you toward the beginning that amber is the killer because when Sam gets a call from ghost face it even says “maybe:Amber” 😭😭 also I love ambers death and the fact that Skeet Ulrich was brought back!
When I tell you I sobbed my heart out in the cinema when Dewey died , and it was my 30th birthday too so you can imagine how upset I was! I’ve loved these movies since I was 6 years old when I first saw the original & Dewey has always been my favourite. I’ve watched it 3 times since then and seen many reactions to it and every single time I sob 😭 I hate the idea that it’s Amber who gets him, the height , the broad shoulders everything is off, I know there’s stunt doubles but stunt doubles are meant to match the figure of the actor so I’m praying in the 6th they rectify it and say there was a 3rd killer all along , hopefully stu 🤞🏻🤞🏻 I know I’ll probably get some comments about how he’s ‘definitely dead’ 🙄 but I’m hoping they bring him back I’ve been hoping for it since the 3rd before they changed the script 😂
It's funny how the actress who played Amber was torched in this movie as well as in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

I saw this movie in theatres back in February. I absolutely loved it. I’ve seen it so many times since the digital and DVD release. Can’t wait for Scream 6.
Vince is played by Kyle Gallner who is one of the best parts of the nightmare Elm Street remake. He's also in red state which I highly recommend you react to cause that movie is awesome and bonkers.

Fun fact about that burner is the Stu Macher house, the real house its filmed in the burner is always lit. So its literally always on, & I'm pretty sure the director utilized that fact in the scene with Amber.

Amber and Tara were dating in the original script and promotional materials. I don't know why they changed in the final edit. It explains why Amber is so protective of Tara and why Ghostface has the code to Tara's security system.
It makes it way more obvious Amber is the killer when they aren't dating cause she just seems weird and hovering.

One thing not ever mentioned is that almost all ghostface have like a signature in how they kill. I.e Stu doubled handed final stab,Amber multi stab,Richie loves being close watching the life drain. Love the detail to make them individual.

I agree with you guys - if the OG stars are to appear in future movies, just have it be a 5-15 minute cameo where they aren't in any danger or threat against them - just there to offer advice to the new crew that are being stalked haha

I’m still salty that they cut Hicks and Dewey’s talk scene. It’s her only interaction with the OG trio when she should’ve interacted with all of them. They should’ve kept it.
