In the 11 years I've been painting I've painted 1017 minis (not counting terrain). You've painted almost half that in a single year to a better quality than 95% of the stuff I do. Thats insane to me. Keep up the great work Jay.
VERY impressive, Jay. Awesome. It took the COVID lock downs and a nervous breakdown for me to tackle my entire 'pile of shame'. Between 2020-2022, I painted nearly 900 miniatures. The outcome was glorious. 😉
Love this channel. I didn't finish anything but, after 20 years out of the hobby, have started painting my first miniatures in the last few weeks. Watching the content on this channel is really inspiring. Love Jay's attitude towards the hobby, and have learned so much from his content. Can't wait to see more. Think you need to expand that Space Wolves kill team into an army though, as the painting tips would really help me 🤣
I started modeling in January, and at the moment the situation looks like this: 45 - finished 27 - almost finished (mainly stands to make 24 - primed 1 - partially painted 1 - cut out and waiting for the idea of magnetization (venerable dreadnot) 10 - not out of the box at all I think that's a pretty good result for 12 months.
I love your videos, but I am a gundam builder at heart. I built two custom dom units and bought myself the banshee perfect grade to start the new year with a bang
I painted 387 miniatures this year, down from my 614 last year, however I focused a lot more on quality over quantity this year, and it's resulted in some of my best paint jobs. I've also been pushing myself to go further this year with a lot of different techniques, actually pushing myself out of my comfort zone, I'm gradually getting the hang of using brighter colours, however I do often find myself defaulting to going grimdark with a lot of my paintjobs.
Loved the video and have enjoyed watching as a new subscriber..also very new to this hobby been at it 2 months and have painted 4 Space Marines, 4 Tyranids , 1 Dreadnought, working on a Age of Sigmar Knight Champion and a Warmachine Horde Gladiator..I find I get better with each model and try tips and tricks I pick up from you and others on RUclips..but am a total noob..won't get 431 done this year but hope to complete my Cities of Sigmar boxed set. Congrats on a great year,,looking forward to 2024.
Jay and Team, it’s been a hoot to tune in and see what shenanigans you have been up to this year. Always a bright spot to the day. Better than turning into the news lately. So glad that this hobby exists so that we can take a break from the world a little bit at a time.
I got back into the hobby (after a 15 year or so break) around the beginning of April this year. I found the EOB youtube channel not long after. It has been a huge inspiration to me and along with a few other channels is part of the reason i can proudly say i’ve managed to get well over 2000pts of necrons and roughly 1500pts of space marines almost fully painted up to a decent table top standard and all up i’ve probably played about 20 games of 40k this year. My gaming club is planning a Mordheim campaign for the new years so am currently in the process of building a witch hunter warband. Safe to say the addiction is real. Thanks for all the great videos Jay!
I will be painting my deffkilla wartrike and megatrakk scrapjet. I painted 213 models mostly Star Wars Legion. Now it's time to get back to my 40k Orks.
I painted like 237 models this year, mostly for the WAAAGH! but some deathuard things too, and the stompa was a blast to paint for sure! Really love the What I painted this Year videos, they are by far my favorites ones!
I got 44 painted lol jay you are in fact a beast of the brush. Good job brother I love the videos you put out and you’ve helped me become better at what we do, I’m more organized this year and set up to make next year a “finish the pile” year. Thank you so much.
In 2023 I turned 45 years old and discovered "the Hobby" so last year was a blast for me. I built and painted 37 models. 1 D&D, 2 Marvel Crisis Protocol and the rest were Warhammer. Besides half my Chaos Space Marines Patrol box being in stages of painting after being primed I finished everything else to table ready. Got to play Kill Team for the first time and got hooked, bought the KillTeam starter set and built the Orks this week. So this year I've got an Ork kill team to paint, a Krieg kill team to build and paint, and the light terrain to paint. As well as my Xmas presents, I've got a Plagueburst Crawler and a box of 7 Plague Marines all to build and paint. Lots to do this year and I'm loving the hobby and the community and videos like these.
Last year when you showed this video it inspired me to start painting more. I dont paint full time, but I was very happy with 153 models done. So I appreciate the motivation!
I found this channel this year when I started 40k. Now it's part of my week. Hope you have a good 2024 and thank you for all the wargame painting tips.
I have painted 205 miniatures this year and may get another one or two in before the end. I got most of the Marines from the Leviathan box painted and really happy with them. The Apothecary Biologis with all that white armor was a fun challenge if a bit of a pain to paint. I did get my Orks over two thousand points and played in my first 40K tournament. Also took 5th place in a Combat Patrol league (12 players). It was a great hobby year for me and the most productive ever.
I started 40k exactly 1 year ago and I have over 550 minis assembled and ~70 in pile of shame but only 5 test models painted. Jay you're my motivation to get them all painted in 2024 :)
Just checked and I've watched every single one of your videos this year. Keep it up, man. I love your enthusiasm and your love for the hobby as a whole. Can't wait to see what you've got lined up for 2024. Maybe some small scale battle reports🤞
I set out a new years challenge last year to work on my Necron Army. Previously I only had about 600 points comepleted, with a substantial pile of shame. This year I managed to reach the 2k point mark, with both the combat patrol and the full roster for the Heirotek circle killteam completed as well so I can have as much fun with my necrons as possible in 2024. I still have another 1k points that needs to be painted, along with some still in box, and lots more to buy. Although I think I will try my best to only buy boxsets and to complete each one before buying something else. I would love to have my desired collection completed by the time 11th edition roles around so I can finally feel like I can play with Necrons to their full potential
Another very productive year! Very inspirational. Getting a project finished is a great feeing. I got some projects finished about 100 models or so this year., and I've collected about 2,000 points of TYRANIDS for a new army for the NEW YEAR!
I'm glad that I got a good start on my Votann - I'm finishing the Combat Patrol (beserkers) this week. I've done heap of Ultramarines (yes I like the blue boys) as well as Krieg for Kill Team (I have started the Orks but they are yet to be finished. I did a squad of Space Wolves and Imperial Fist for fun. My best achievement I think is my squad of Outriders. I went to town on the bases and am really happy with the results. The part about this year is we formed a Painting Group Chat on messenger and friends from across the east coast of Australia are in it and we talk, show progress shots, encourage and provide tips and even host the odd ZOOM painting session. It's great and connecting with others is important. We even have a few combat patrol games with the ones that live closer together. Cheers Jay great work this year! 461! WOW
I bought 119 mini's and painted......23. Not a bad return for myself 😅 Did paint a few bit of terrain though🤷Please, after the look by wife gives me everything a new box arrives and looks at all the grey and unbuild models, what ever you have to say will be water off a ducks back 😛
The project I have finished this year and I am really proud of are my Flash Gitz! I converted them using parts from Nobz kit and painted in 5 colorus of Ork clans. Thank you for another epic year of hobby content!
You crack me up man. I appreciate the self-effacing normality of these videos. But, clearly you all put so much into this and it is not just that. Thanks for making the world better.
Well damn that's an insane amount of models painted to a pretty dang good standard! Love you Jay you're my favorite "40k" Chanel and can't wait to see what you paint up next year
i got into 40k back in march. since then ive finished 1900 points of ultramarines, 1000 points of sisters, 2500 points of blood angels (3d printed), and painted my friends 850 points of death guard. Watching your videos helped me improve my painting skills a lot! Keep up the great content!
Wow very impressive! Definitely enjoy these end of year videos and love to see what all Jay painted throughout the year. I recently started painting my own minis again and this has inspired me to want to paint even more! Would love to see some more Star Wars Legion painting videos!
Coming back to the hobby after over 15 years (I'm 26 now) and can appreciate the game and art a lot more (and afford it haha). Also did the sarcasm go right over my head when Jay said they only made 3 Pirates movies or?? LOVE this channel. It's really got me fired up to be painting and collecting again (Finally building my Blood Angels as well as reviving my Orks with heavy inspiration from Jay's Mad Max theme.)
I'm not a full-time painter, and my level isn't to the same standard that yours are, but I had a TON of fun painting up 420 minis this year! Some of the best were the Orktober 1k list and terrain, my current Skaven build, and the Aeldari Exodites I converted! Here's to a 2024 filled with even more fun and finished minis!
I managed about three dozens models this year. Not a lot in comparison, but some I'm quite happy with. I expanded my Doctors for Carnivale, I did a large block for my Cult of Yurei for Bushido and a few misc miniatures just for fun.
Thx for another year of content! Really appreciate it. I started an AOS crusade to own way too many stormcast miniatures, I had 0 points at the start of the year, and now I got above 10.000! Also a, give or take, 3500 points of Sylvaneth. My absolute favourite model is Bastian Carthalos, gorgeous power pose and the coolest looking armor.
Jay, honestly, it was so lovely to see you gushing over your miniatures, specially your beloved reaver titan, with its wobbly puppy dawg head, so so cute! I keep saying to myself that im going to begin my own youtube painting channel, not that i have much to offer that no one else is doing, because i dont, but i turn the big Five Oh… oh bugger lol, in 2 weeks and i been into citadel minis since the mid 80s when i was still at school, so i do have an in depth knowledge of very early warhammer fantasy, plus i was there when Rogue Trader was born, aka 40k, and right now im busy buying those metal models from my youth, to paint up once more, and to just share those really hard to find miniatures, the more obscure ones have got lost over time. But my painting skills are average at best, and i do have a speech impediment, but i dont really see those as obstacles, so who knows, maybe ill have my own channel soon, or ill just keep watching you guys 😃
Amazing to see what ya manage to do in a year. So far for me I've painted to completion like 7 Space wolves 2 of which were 2nd/3rd ed mono pose, a guardsman, and a tiny Rhino. I've got 8 more marines I want to have finished before the year's out that I've nearly completed. I've also picked up my Malifaux crew, performers, after watching your videos on 'em. And I have a box of assembled Tyranids to keep me occupied into the new years.
I haven't kept track of all the models I've painted this year but I did keep track of all the models I built. Mostly it started as a way to catalog all the plastic I was buying but it turned into kind of milestone chasing. In 2022 I built 168 models after getting back into Warhammer that September. This year I built over 500 models for 40k, Age of Sigmar and Star Wars Legion. Like you, the vision of doing a project is too alluring to resist, especially if it comes with a bargain. I started 5 different armies this year across these 3 games but who cares as long as I'm having fun.
I decided to challenge myself this year, and started gene stealer cults. It’s an army where there’s so much detail, that if I make a mistake I legitimately never find it again. Aborhants are a joy to paint The acolytes less so but I have a little system down for them so I’m just breaking threw them, I recently got myself an airbrush for Christmas, so plan on using on the vehicles I love the GSC cuz it’s lack of uniformity, they are just random people, it lets me mess around with colors and bases I never get to use on my AdMech or my iron hands and just experiment
simple fact because it’s only a couple days before 2024. why make a thumbnail for 2023 when it won’t be accurate in a matter of days? just future-proof.
This year I found a gaming group and finally started the custom chaos space marine chapter that i first idealised 9+ years ago! It's really magical finally seeing these minis on table and seeing the colours I had planned out so long ago coming together to make an actual army. Finally dipping my toes into gameplay in 10th edition and so keen to face the horrors of the galaxy with my wolves at my side!
I got about 200 painted..but I played..very very little. Full time job and 2 broken wrists cut my numbers down this year... but the pile of shame did shrink.
Got back into 40k this year after ~20 years! Rekindled my dark angels and have 61 models fully painted up :) big thanks to you Jay and co for inspiration. Love your easy going but obsessive attitude 😂 well done on painting such a crazy amount to a great standard. Next year I'll be working my way though the cursed city minis... 👻⚔️
My coolest project of 2023 was I did my very first Knight, a Questoris class I conveyed to a Despoiler I bought secondhand from a guy in our community. Magnetized the arms, and now he trudges through the best base I’ve ever created, sands of an ancient desert with Egyptian like obelisks and some sandstone brick (temple floor?) exposed in the sands from epic basing
I bought way too much stuff this year and didn't paint nearly enough. I did learn a lot though and for my first year doing this I think I've done alright. Now to actually play games with these little guys, gals, and pals.
Keep up the good work Jay! I wish I had a 1/4 of the motivation you do. I picked up the Chain Breaker Lance box set last year and have had no time/motivation to get it completed.
love the jab at the Pirates of Caribbean, yes there are only 3 movies. like how there is no sequel/reboot of Escape from NY or only 1 Resident Evil movie.
I love the end of year reviews! You always get so much done in a year. Wish you’d shown the Malifaux bits off, probably one of my favourites from this year! Can’t wait to see what comes next year
Such a glorious collection, your style of painting is so nice and stands out amazingly along side other RUclipsrs.. God I’m gushing over these minis !!!
Strangely I just finished editing my own version of this. Last year I set out the challenge to paint twice what I aqquire. This turned out quite well, as it isn't a total ban on buying new fancy models, which gets you excited to paint the new fancy, but then you get in the habbit of painting and go off to paint some old stuff too. Has been fun
After a 20 year or so break I got back into warhammer 40k from my Dark Eldar army I had as a kid. I now have like 9 factions armies and im almost all done collecting because I got my dream army... a praetorian guard limited edition set the british zulu looking dudes! so cool. can't wait to paint em the bright red vibrant colors!
This is why I love this channel and joined Patreon. Yeah, you paint to high quality, and try fun techniques, but ultimately, it's all about gaming, and that childish love of the game. Keep on keeping on Jay! Can't wait to see more SW Legion! Gotta submit some of my dudes on your discord
Great video! This year I painted way less minis than I would have liked to, but the one I'm most proud of is without a doubt my riptide! I gave it a very cool dynamic pose on a huge base and the osl I did leaves me with no word to this day! It's a pity that in game sucks but it definitely has the style
just started 40k in early december, a store near me was having a year end sale and i managed to geta lot of tau for cheap. pathfinders, breachers, stealth suits, and 2 broadsides for 180 bucks. my broadsides are the only ones fully painted and i love them
I played my first game of 40k just last night. It was a combat patrol and was such a blast. I'm playing Tau and had only my Strike team painted up. Was still proud of them! My wife got me a Riptide for the holiday. I'm nervous about painting that, as it'll probably be my largest unit and a bit of a center piece. I hope it turns out well.
I have the first week of January off and am on a Warcraft binge at the moment trying to make a dent in my "Pile of Opportunity". As OCD as I am, I haven't yet put together a spreadsheet for my armies but I now want to do that. And believe it or not, I just got into Warhammer this past summer when looking for things to put on a diorama that had nothing to do with gaming. Accomplishments since July: - Done done: Tyranids from 40K ultimate starter box, POM, Lictor, Neurolictor, Deathleaper, Tyrranofex, Biovore; Sylvaneth Awakened Wyldwood; 3 sets of Warcry meat tree terrain; Warcry Red Harvest terrain; Soulblight Gravelords Necromancer; 2 space marines I practiced on - Almost done: Tyranid Broodlord, 20 Hormagants, 10 Genestealers, 20 Gargoyles - Started: 2 Kill Teams; Killzone Octaris orc terrain; Grotmas Gitz - Assembled and primed: Aeldari Maugan Ra, Harlequin Troupe, Death Jester, Shadowseer, Solitaire, Starweaver; 6 Warcry warbands; 4 Blood Bowl teams; Seraphon Saurus Warriors, Skinks; Daughters of Khaine units from Arena of Shades; Hedonite Daemonettes Planned for 2024 (still in box): 3,000 points of Drukhari; Aeldari Yncarne and Yvraine; 2,000+ points of Sylvaneth; Khainite Slaughter Coven; Seraphon Skink Starseer; Idoneth Deepkin Akhelian Allopex; 4 more Kill Teams, 2 more Blood Bowl teams
I only painted 100 or so. 2k points of blood angles, 1300 points of necrons and a few D&D minis for my brother. I also bought the full set of 2022 vallejo paints in order to try to increase my skills and i did. My necrons and blood angles look so much better than my old rusty minis. Next year i will upgrade my 4000 points of nids and paint my gray 2000 points of skaven.
Great work! You are such an ispiration to me. Going through my list of models I painted this year I realized a pretty funny thing, I have only painted one full squad, the new Sternguard. Other than that I have painted probably just characters and vehicles and started to work on an Ork Kommando killteam which I absolutely fell in love with but I wasnt able to finish it this year.
This was my first year in Warhammer 40k. I went ham and bought Admech/Death Guard/Krieg/Knights/TSons and Black Templars. Still working my way though painting Admech lol but I'm almost there!
I just looove the wrap-up Jay does in te end of each year. It makes me feel pumped to challenge me more next year. In 2023, I tried establishing a goal of painting one mini a day. And then failed miserably. I know i still have 3 more painting days this year and I could (maybe) finish three to five more models, but I ACTUALLY painted and based and varnished 213 models this year: 10 Krieg Veterans 10 Orlock Ash Wastelanders 43 Dead of Dunharrow He-Man, Orko and Skeletor from Masters of the Universe Battlegrounds 85 mixed Nighthaunt units The Ridgehauler from Necromunda 2 Orlock Outrider Quads Tyranid half of the Leviathan box + 1 termagant (48 minis) Marvel United X-Men (10 minis) Invincible bust So, looking at the bright side, I think I've improved a lot from the Krieg in January to the Tyranids in December. Let's see if I can FINALLY reach my goal of one mini a day in 2024.
This is the end of my first year in mini painting. I'm mainly a Tyranid's player so I've finished the old Combat Patrol, Broodlord and Neurotyrant. I've also tried a couple of Chaos marines and Seraphon starter kit and Bloodbowl team. My favourite by far is the Neurotyrant with colour shift paint. For the future I'm looking forward to a Maleceptor and the plasma pipes terrain. I've bought the PLA version and they will be my first experience with 3D printed pieces. Have a great year everyone :)
This year, I got a great deal on the 8th Army, and A Gentlemen's War starter box for Bolt Action. I painted all of those plus a few extra boxes of infantry, all the vehicles for the British. It was well over 150 infantry units and about 8 vehicles. We don't even play early war in our club! Oh well, I'm sure I can find someone to play sooner or later haha. Over 250 minis painted this year, and looking forward to 2024 to beating that number, and clearing out all my Bolt Action pile of opportunity!
First started Warhammer this year- started with AdMech, which in hindsight might've been a mistake, but I love them all the same. For Christmas, I managed to pick up the old Elimination Maniple box, along with some Knight Armigers to support them. Next year, I intend to work on my new Thousand Sons army, along with continuing my AdMech. I'm also tempted to pick up some Kharadron Overlords for AoS, just to see how I feel.
You are an absolute machine man! I'm doing Orks this year. I hopped on that Beastsnagga battleforce train as well, backed up with yalls gobo tanks and a Karl mech from Puppets War. Fun little mishmashed fuck em up squad for some OPR action.
Thanks for this such impersational! Which I got "1 model" done this year a 3mm scale, 4 Pico armor M1A2 abrams MBT, on a 50mm base making one unit. All done in about 30 minutes with just a white primer and blue paint it looks good very abstract which I want their team to have more colors then just 1. But they came out so well and after the disaster of my first model... I just wanted 1 model done... and so it is!
I painted tau pathfinder kt, runtherd and Gretchen,9th ed recruit ed box , 7 Tyranid termagants 5 still in primer and partial painted the ripper swarm , managed to get 3 boxes in the backlog and a McFarlane space marine I've only got back into the mini's this year and now have 2 local Warhammer shops on my doorstep so I'm in trouble 😂 going to be hard to resist, hope you and the crew have a good holiday season
A 1/4 inch forstner drill bit would let you make shallow flat bottomed holes in the wood bases to install magnets. Have to be very careful, but it should work fine.
Ordered the Warhammer 40K introductory set last week. I’m really excited to get into the hobby as it was my dream ever since I was a child, but it was just too expensive back then. Now that I have some disposable income I can finally afford it.
2:32 Jay's best line EVER :D The models I'm the most proud of this year, are my 2 Nekimas for Nephilim keyword of Malifaux, my M2E Lord Chompy Bits for Nightmare keyword (also Malifaux) and overall my entire Nephilim crew^^
A friend introduced me to Dystopian wars, a game that got saved by Warcradle Studios, since you like sailing ships, you might like the sort of dystopian tesla punk battleships, mechs, and airships of this game. Plus its pretty complete in terms of rule set, the various factions have sufficient models, and are being expanded with new interesting kits. I actually finished painting my Prussian Frontline Battlefleet while watching this Video!
This year I only painted 60ish models. Quite a step down from my 140 last year. All blood bowl. But I'm already working on the next team for blood bowl for January and have another team 50% done. Also I currently have way more of a drive to paint more.
Finished 187 models so far this year...hope to paint a few more this weekend to get closer to 200. Among them were about 2500 points of World Eaters, with Angron of course being the most ridiculous model I painted this year.

"I love all three pirates of the Caribbean movies" 😂 very valid opinion my friend
I think Jay's problem is that he just loooves everything and wants all of it
You make it sound like a bad thing 😂 I'm the same with gunpla although I did get back into building Warhammer and AOS( via the magazines )🤫
Theres certainly worse problems to have.
That's not a problem, that's just a great attitude.
Jay's "what I painted this year" videos are my favourite of the year. SUPER impressive to see them all laid out over the table!
Indeed. He basically painted 1.2 models per day... i's impressive.
@@PerfectionHunter I managed apx 1 mini every 3 days and was very pleased with myself. Jay's just built different 🦾😂
In the 11 years I've been painting I've painted 1017 minis (not counting terrain).

I started modeling in January, and at the moment the situation looks like this:
45 - finished
27 - almost finished (mainly stands to make
24 - primed
1 - partially painted
1 - cut out and waiting for the idea of magnetization (venerable dreadnot)
10 - not out of the box at all
I think that's a pretty good result for 12 months.
after you've painted all those just stop and don't buy any more. JUST TRUST ME.
@@AmirBrannigan-wt3pp It is too late, I cant stop now #cry
I love your videos, but I am a gundam builder at heart. I built two custom dom units and bought myself the banshee perfect grade to start the new year with a bang

It’s so nice hearing that you’re back full swing into 40k. I really hope to see a battle report one day.

Jay buried the bad Pirates of the Caribbean movies in his subconscious

Thank you for showing your Pile of progress. If my calculations is not too off, I managed to paint 516 miniatures this year myself.

You inspired me. I currently have painted 50 space marines, 12 British commando, 18 germans. Finished the into the dark terrain.🎉
Last year when you showed this video it inspired me to start painting more. I dont paint full time, but I was very happy with 153 models done. So I appreciate the motivation!
I found this channel this year when I started 40k. Now it's part of my week. Hope you have a good 2024 and thank you for all the wargame painting tips.
for the ship's, you can try self-adhesive magnetic sheets.
I did that for my armada ships, works fine (maybe a bit too strong against metal sheet 😅)
Love you Jay you're my favorite "40k" Chanel and can't wait to see what you paint up next year
Can’t believe you already painted all that even before 2024 has started! Very impressive
i got into 40k back in march. since then ive finished 1900 points of ultramarines, 1000 points of sisters, 2500 points of blood angels (3d printed), and painted my friends 850 points of death guard.
Honestly Jay you are the best!! Thanks for all the content this year ❤
Definitely one if not THE most productive mini painter Utuber! I wish you the same energy, health and feeling of content in 2024!
That's quite a pile! I'm going to watch the Exodites video after this!
Thanks Jay and Nick. You guys are my favourite channel.
Great recap video. Your enthusiasm is awesome and contagious. Also I absolutely love the female space marines you made.
Now that is an army
Yes, EoB, there are only 3 Pirates movies 😂
Dude I loved your Fellgor Ravagers, probably my favorite Eons video of the year.
Aborhants are a joy to paint
The acolytes less so but I have a little system down for them so I’m just breaking threw them,
I recently got myself an airbrush for Christmas, so plan on using on the vehicles
I love the GSC cuz it’s lack of uniformity, they are just random people, it lets me mess around with colors and bases I never get to use on my AdMech or my iron hands and just experiment
Why does the thumbnail say 2024? xD
We all live in 2023 while EOB lives in 2024
@@Kululululululuhe truly is the emperor
Shhhhhhhsssss 🤫
It's funny the Warhammer yt page did the same with a video. I wonder if it's a coincidence or not lol
simple fact because it’s only a couple days before 2024. why make a thumbnail for 2023 when it won’t be accurate in a matter of days? just future-proof.
Keep up the amazing work and yes I still don’t know how you have more to say after three videos a week
I remember two resident evil films; the original, then I had a stroke, and then next one took place in the desert.
Your my favorite creator for painting because you are always trying new things and I just love the channel
These videos are becoming my favorite end of the year
2023 was my first year in the hobby, I painted 122 miniatures. My ogroid myrmidon is my favorite and I can’t wait to play more of it in warcry
It's a pity that in game sucks but it definitely has the style
you gave me the inspiration to start collecting and playing 40k. got started with the space wolves combat patrol and have been adding on to the army
just started 40k in early december, a store near me was having a year end sale and i managed to geta lot of tau for cheap. pathfinders, breachers, stealth suits, and 2 broadsides for 180 bucks. my broadsides are the only ones fully painted and i love them
I played my first game of 40k just last night.
Accomplishments since July:
- Done done: Tyranids from 40K ultimate starter box, POM, Lictor, Neurolictor, Deathleaper, Tyrranofex, Biovore; Sylvaneth Awakened Wyldwood; 3 sets of Warcry meat tree terrain; Warcry Red Harvest terrain; Soulblight Gravelords Necromancer; 2 space marines I practiced on
- Almost done: Tyranid Broodlord, 20 Hormagants, 10 Genestealers, 20 Gargoyles
- Started: 2 Kill Teams; Killzone Octaris orc terrain; Grotmas Gitz
- Assembled and primed: Aeldari Maugan Ra, Harlequin Troupe, Death Jester, Shadowseer, Solitaire, Starweaver; 6 Warcry warbands; 4 Blood Bowl teams; Seraphon Saurus Warriors, Skinks; Daughters of Khaine units from Arena of Shades; Hedonite Daemonettes
Planned for 2024 (still in box):
3,000 points of Drukhari; Aeldari Yncarne and Yvraine; 2,000+ points of Sylvaneth; Khainite Slaughter Coven; Seraphon Skink Starseer; Idoneth Deepkin Akhelian Allopex; 4 more Kill Teams, 2 more Blood Bowl teams
Excited to (hopefully) see more SWL from Eons, im getting into it too so I can't wait to see what special plans he has for his armies!
Just started this year! Leviathan and a bunch of second hand spacemarines! Excited to get the nids painted then finish up the space marines!
Well done! Inspires me to keep working on my projects!
Might be the best Warhammer hobby account on here. Jay is dope 🤙🏻
I know i still have 3 more painting days this year and I could (maybe) finish three to five more models, but I ACTUALLY painted and based and varnished 213 models this year:
10 Krieg Veterans
10 Orlock Ash Wastelanders
43 Dead of Dunharrow
He-Man, Orko and Skeletor from Masters of the Universe Battlegrounds
85 mixed Nighthaunt units
The Ridgehauler from Necromunda
2 Orlock Outrider Quads
Tyranid half of the Leviathan box + 1 termagant (48 minis)
Marvel United X-Men (10 minis)
Invincible bust
So, looking at the bright side, I think I've improved a lot from the Krieg in January to the Tyranids in December.
I started playing 40k this year and have painted around 95 necrons and recently picked up Custodies and painted 5 of those
This year, I got a great deal on the 8th Army, and A Gentlemen's War starter box for Bolt Action.
The tech priests screaming in terror as the flesh abomination rattles the head of their reiver titan 😂
I just wanted 1 model done... and so it is!
picked up an army for middle earth battle strategy game. I love the minis, and the system is very clean.
2:32 Jay's best line EVER :D
The models I'm the most proud of this year, are my 2 Nekimas for Nephilim keyword of Malifaux, my M2E Lord Chompy Bits for Nightmare keyword (also Malifaux) and overall my entire Nephilim crew^^
Here when the thumbnail was 2024 gang
This year I only painted 60ish models. Quite a step down from my 140 last year. All blood bowl. But I'm already working on the next team for blood bowl for January and have another team 50% done. Also I currently have way more of a drive to paint more.
Jay, "Warhammer 40k, it is impossible to master..."
Shaun, 😏
Finished 187 models so far this year...hope to paint a few more this weekend to get closer to 200. Among them were about 2500 points of World Eaters, with Angron of course being the most ridiculous model I painted this year.
Holy crap! Yesterday it was my first game of Nemesis, and today Jay shows the minis painted...
