Dee Bradley Baker should get an honorary Emmy for his voicing all the different clones in the show as well as "Rebels".
He does that in all the shows he does. He's fantastic!!!
@@GOGIANTS1091 They saved so much money
And now Bad Batch, where Gregor returns!
That’s not how honorary Emmys work…
YESSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dave Filoni seems like a really cool, down to earth guy.
He is! I got to meet him for an interview during Star Wars Celebration (we were talking about the upcoming game Star Wars 1313 and the potential for an SAS Community on it) and the guy genuinely cares about the clone wars. He went on and on about how he has great memories of playing Star Wars Battlefront 2 and how excited he was to be apart of Star Wars. He talked about how George Lucas was allowing fans such as himself to be creative yet true to Star Wars. Now we just got Disney..... -Shepherd, SAS PR Director
He deserves to be in charge of Lucasfilm.
I wonder why you like him. If he is down to earth, that means he doesn't have the high ground
@@notarobot5815 I believe the phrase "down to earth" refers to the surface of a planet, whereas Darth Disney resides in the deep bottoms of HELL. xD
I love how much of a dork Filloni is.
“Which i played..... to completion”
Gotta add that part
I love how Dave mentions Republic Commando and him saying “That I played to Completion”
A great Clone Wars episode. The 100th Clone Wars episode and a Clone Commando in battle.
Funny for Gregor DID survive.
I think he suffered a head injury from the explosion or something. That's why he's loopy in Rebels.
Hey, I wanted to say thank you for uploading all these featurettes. I'm watching The Clone Wars for the first time (didn't know what I was missing), and I always like to see BTS stuff. So thanks again.
+Aylass Not a problem. Glad I could help :)
Its a shame that Disney had to buy Star Wars and stop this show, Dave was so optimistic in how this show would go on. I loved this show as a kid and Rebels is terrible. I sure miss it.
+P2-SMiTTY Why hate on Rebels? The CW series would probably have stopped at season 7 by LucasFilms themselves if it hadn't been bought up. And we got a whole new series as a replacement instead of just throwing CW out and shitting all over the fans. Dinsey made CW canon, they made a new series AND they gave us Ahsoka, Rex, Gregor, Wolffe AND EVEN FREAKING HONDO back.
p.s. I FUCKING LOVE HONDO!!!!!!! Best fucking character.
+P2-SMiTTY Rebels is not terrible.
NotOrdinaryInGames I stand corrected, I had only watched the first season. I just finished watching up to episode 10 of season 2 and I take my comment back. This season is so much better then season 1.
+Ralph Koolen the rebels can never compare to the large scale clone war battles.
therant311 True but if you go in expecting that of course you get dissapointed. You need to expect a show that focusses way more on the passive side of the war (Some like to say the 'childish' side) but kids enjoy the show and adults can see the simularities in the real world and this show so I think thats the beauty of this show. Clone Wars was way 'cooler' and badass, but f.e. the scene in the last episode of Season 2 Rebels when Ezra and Zeb just lay down and listen to space rock is a moment you never got with CW.
CW gave you the 'Brothers in Arms' style which is way more spectacular but just for a smaller audience.
(PS I loved CW 10x more than Rebels but that is also a lot of nostalgia from when I had a though period and I still love Rebels)
Watched this episode for the first time this past month with my girlfriend, Gregor’s sacrifice made me cry. I’m a 21 year old man for goodness sake! Now I’ve cried 3 times watching Clone Wars: this, Satine’s death, and Fives. What a show.
Gregor was fine...sort of...
Carly Crays kind of upset with how he was treated in Rebels, but whatever
@@AndrewDembouski I mean, brain damage and dementia will do that
Dave filioni you are just..... i.... I LOVE YOU
I could listen to Dave filoni and never get bored
simp
Same
And then Disney cancelled the epic Darth Maul story... WHICH FUELS ME WITH HATRED AND ANGER
He is going to be in rebels so there's that
Still.. so much wastes potential
fr 😢😢😢😢😢😢rip star wars the clone wars
Good reference
nice, the first one who gets it. Took only 3 months kek
0:33 the rest of the clones are enslaved too, by the republic lmao
YESSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!! This Is One Of My Favorite Episodes!
I Love Gregor So Much!!! He Is One Of My Favorite Clones! He Was A True Hero Of
The Republic!!! Also I Can't believe this is The 100th Episode!!!
Thank You, Dave Filoni for This Masterful Show.
I LOVE THIS SHOW SOOOOOO MUCH!!!!!!
FORRRRRR THE REPUBLIC!!!!!!
I watched till the end, I couldn't get enough clone wars. Then it ended.
Cuz fucking Disney
Now it's back
Carsten wasn’t it CN?
0:37 'You Are Deeshwasher now!' No he isn't. You can't put dishes in him.
Not with that attitude.
Protect Dave at all costS
So glad Gregor came back home. I'm about to finish season 3 of Rebels and I hope at some point they tell where he was for Order 66.
Update-they do not. But. That's not the worst thing that happens involving Gregor 😭
@@MilesSaysWords Well he died a soldier fighting for a just cause alongside his brothers, something he wanted to do. He died a hero of the republic.
@@shugaroony to my original point of telling where he was during Order 66, watch the Bad Batch y'all :D
Why was he used as a stupid comedic relief in Rebels?
You think being in an explosion like that wouldn't do at least a bit of damage?? I find it far more realistic to see the scars of war than having Gregor being a perfect soldier, capable even of surviving explosions.
Ieuan Grainger they could've made him scarred in a different way. Like if they made him the total opposite of how he is in Rebels, if he was quiet and was a very introverted person instead of a happy go-lucky soldier.
Thats a perfect example of how fans never truly show appreciation. "Rebels needs to be more realistic" "They could have made it more realistic in a different way"
Disney
@@dolfin5613 except hes showing appreciation for his character in Clone Wars. And that's why hes let down by his character in Rebels.
They never had him return for the rest of Clone Wars, then in Rebels he comes back for like, two episodes as a comedic relief character cause that explosion gave him brain damage. Apparently SOMEONE in the writing department was given too much leeway...
I don’t see the problem
Forget that rebels was even a thing because they had to please Disney kiddie standards.
@@Gadget-Walkmen Get over yourself.
@@shugaroony LMAO screw off with that rubbish. You get over yourself if my comment bother you this much.
Throughout the 5th season I was complaining about the episodes not having clones in it, and as soon as Gregor appears, I was so happy after yawning on the droid mission arc
6:26 in the end that's what matters the most. That's why clone wars succeeded so well.
republic commando tv series please
You got Bad Batch now 😂
Thank you Dave Filoni!! Thank you
I love every second of this ^^
David Feloni to direct Republic Commandos
Gregor is still alive
Loved the Karen Travis Republic Commando book series.
RUclips algorythm in 2020: Hey, here's a Video from 4,5 Years ago, life with it.
I really like Rebels but what they chose to do with Gregor is just baffling, they took a brave commando trooper and turned him into a clown. Why is that? Why did they choose to depict this character that way
I know exactly what you mean!
Cis Droid i'm not against him being a little goofier but it just annoys me how he's essentially written and performed as a completely different character not someone who's been through some changes
+WoodstockProd It's not him being goofy, he suffered brain damage. Do you think an explosion like that will let you lie with no consequence?
Gabe Rivera no it's him being written as goofy. you can make a list of characters in this series are perfectly normal and have been caught in far worse things
Gabe Rivera
Clone Commando armor was fitted with reactive armor as well as a personal shield that was given exclusively to the commando units to ensure their mission success. It’s unlikely that the explosion would’ve hurt him in anyway.
Yep. Gregor paid the ultimate sacrifice.
He survived to be featured on Rebels.
Tough stuff.
Can Dave be my dungeon master?
Bad Batch should've been Delta Squad. We never got to see a whole squad of Commandos in action.
Bad Batch are clone commandos technically
his sacrifice isn't that ultimate since he survives lol
Damn and he goes crazy in rebels what a twist!
They shouldve made more commando episodes
he did get brought back in Rebels, by then he's a little bit of wacky (probably due to that explosion at the end of that battle)
How did he not die in that explosion
+Carsten Kuehn He was waiting for bacta.
Honestly my favorite characters are all the clones. They are the best soldier to me ever. And if you want, tell me which soldier was the best in Star Wars: clones, droids, rebels, or storm troopers.(storm troopers can’t aim for their life, literally).
we need to get a masseuse cor dave. His back must hurt from carrying starwars all these years
Little did they know, he came back in Rebels
Baker doesnt sound anything like Jango Fett
+Carl Linde Clones tend to develop their own tone, accent and mannerisms through being around their training sergeants, their brothers and Jedi.
+Carl Linde Nobody can really do a good Temuera Morrison impression. I rather like that they put their own spin on his accent.
Carl Linde Actually, their voices are more similar than you think. The accent is virtually the same. Jango Just has a deeper voice.
It's better. I watched Attack of the Clones and the voice of Ponds just seemed off to me
I know, it's aweful. Morrison is far better than Baker
And then in Rebels, they turned him into an insane lunatic.... Rebels doesn't fit my head canon at all.... a crying shame
War is hell, dont you know?
4:55 lmao
McGregor
life is like that ,,, you blink and it’s past,.. I’m the same age as Filoni..Any young people reading this believe it
4:01
*laughs in Rebels*
and sadly he is brought back as another tool to safe Rebels
I really don't understand how people can dislike Star wars rebels, it's well written well animated and it has Darth Vader and Darth maul in it. The show also has a lot of the Clone wars show runners working on it still so it's the same level of quality. anyone who disliked rebels clearly hasn't sat down to actually WATCH the show
SuperTunnelBoy The show is just so damn slow and unexciting
M28tan this past episode was so weak after a 2 week break
Obi-Wan Kenobi I was really looking forward to this show too....but I've noticed some improvement so far
I'm a _Rebels_ fan, but here are the complaints I've come across:
1) Not as dark, not enough deaths. I don't like this argument because _Rebels_ is set in a far less violent era, so there's less need for that.
2) There is little character development, and what there is is weak. I agree with this, personally. Kanan worrying about training Ezra was over pretty quickly. Kanan adjusting to his sight was solved in one episode. Ezra possibly falling to the dark side was in one episode and then over. Chopper and Zeb have had no development I can think of. Rex, though I'm a huge fan of him, mostly makes references to the Clone Wars and shoots things. Sabine is the most interesting original character for me, because her past has been explored several times.
3) The animation is bad. I agree with this for the first season, but as it goes on the animation gets better.
4) The lightsabers are too thin. I'm still not entirely used to it, but it's based on original concept art, so whatever.
5) It's too childish. I definitely agree with this for Season 1, except for the decapitations of two Imperial officers. Season 2 has scenes like Kanan describing the Jedi Purge, Vader vs Ahsoka, and the Seventh Sister interrogating Ezra, all of which feel very mature. With Season 3, there's also been a lot of talk about the Force and other things that likely won't interest the little kids this was originally targeted at, like the conflict between Maul and Obi-Wan.
6) Too many filler episodes. I completely agree. Get something from the Empire, a small shootout, and then the rebels escape without consequence. I'm sick of filler episodes.
this aged well 😂
You can get this game on the new Xbox
how did he survive?
Star Wars Rule #3: No character is dead unless you see his cold, lifeless body.
Too bad all we got from Gregor after this was a terrible character in Rebels, where they made him a brain damaged idiot for some reason.
Jonathan Parker I hate it they turned him into comedic relief I mean come on he's a freaking commando
Manny Garcia I finally watched the whole episode with the clones, and it's so bad. They literally made him a crazy old fisherman.
Jonathan Parker I thought the show was great but why they made him a joke
Manny Garcia I'll admit, there are some good episodes in season 2, but most of this show is still pretty bad in my opinion.
Rebels has been really lazy with cameos and right now we gotta wait every 2 weeks for the next episode this show is more appealing to more Adults than kids
Rebels ruined this guy
Not really, he was still a soldier fighting for the republic and died a hero of it, like what he would have wanted.
Is Dave stoned?
IMO the character shouldn't have been confirmed dead or alive. Him surviving, and his depiction in rebels ruins him for me. Just one of the many reasons why I don't consider rebels canon.
