- Rehekōrero are at the top of their game. They're not only the high school spoken word grand slam champions in Aotearoa, they’re also the best across the ditch, taking out the Trans-Tasman trophy.
The Tāmaki based group is fresh from performing at the Laneway and Splore festivals. Rehekōrero perform their new poem about Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
Ngā mihi nui ki a Koromiko Jacobs-Williams, Billy McCarthy, Milan Moala, and Piremina Ngapera
Made with support from Te Māngai Pāho and NZ On Air.

I appreciate their artistic voices intertwining. Beautiful
So powerful and moving! 🖤🤍❤
No just hate filled spew and lies.
These young people have been brainwashed and need to learn the history of New Zealand
We know the true history, it’s the ignorant people who disregard māori who have no idea
@@jamesm.b4810If you read the real history of Tiriti you will come to realise that who ever wrote that poem is wrong. What would you like to talk about?
@@Digmen1 And where is ur source of information of the correct history? Facebook?
@@jamesm.b4810No I have got about 10 books on the Treaty. And I have come to realise that we all need to honour the maori version - Te Tiriti - not the one written in English by James Freeman a few days later that later became to be known as the official version.
@@Digmen1I struggle to make the connection - do the 10 books negate what is being said or are you just negative to highlight your perceived elevated status in knowledge?
