What amazes me is how you take a stick and then using a small pocket knife you create an incredible wood spirit. That is a talent I do not possess so vicariously i enjoy the project from beginning to end. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks! So far I have had good results keeping it in water for up to 2 years (just be sure to change out the water regularly ).👍✌

Im new to whittling...I tried to carve a walking stick on dried, aged white oak.

Aged white oak . . . oh boy, that must have been "fun"😉. I have carved red oak before (a bit less hard than white oak), but only smaller pieces. 👍✌
