Oh, been waiting for this. I know how you would love to love the new legacy. And before I watch the video, I know somewhere in there you liked it too. Eh, it was a jam after all. 🙃
I was LIVINGGGG for the Tunes going through the Warner Bros catalog! I could’ve seen a ton more of it! Especially more Game of Thrones references for some reason hahaha (I know the last season sucked, but I miss Westeros!)!! 🤣🙌😍
That whole bit of Looney Tunes going through many iconic Warner owned films really could have been its own film. Looney Tunes: Across the Warner-verse.
The thing about the whole movie cameo thing is that that's always been a thing in the almost 90 year history of Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies. The OG shorts were basically music videos for the newest popular songs of the day, shorts like "Have You Got Any Castles?" and "Book Revue" that were all about dropping pop-culture references into books, and then there are countless name drops of Warner Brothers stars of the day of these classic shorts that SO many kids - and, let's face it, grown-ass adults at this point - only know from these classic Looney Tunes cartoons. This is a tradition that was passed on to Tiny Tunes, and to Animaniacs, and now to new Space Jam movies. Probably the only problem I see with how they were handled in the movie is that they're so blatent and couldn't entire be appreciated for subtle jabs they've generally been in the past. That said, there's going to be a whole group of young kids coming up now whose first exposure to Mad Max will be because of Wile E. and the Roadrunner. To quote an inappropriate property to the film, this is the way.
That Micheal Jordan joke actually made me laugh because I was even expecting him to be there but then they pilled an "aahh I see what you did there" and used Micheal B. Jordan, it was hilarious!
See. The problem with people not enjoying movies.... is people aren't going to the movies with Andre. This man knows how to enjoy movies especially the ones that brings back good memories.... what im saying is start a movie night at the movies with andre 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I loved this movie! Watched it day of release on HBO Max with my 2 year old. Of course, she didn't care. She loved the bright colors and the music and the crowd cheering. The references were fun. The video game was cool. It's just a fun ride.
I gotta say I loved it more than I expected to. And watched with my nephew just as something we could enjoy together but I'd definitely watch it again, heck I even watch it by myself. I give it a 7.5 out of 10
Dude, they brought out the nun from "The Devils" (which is a horror movie that Warner Bros. doesn't want to acknowledge unless it's for a family friendly movie it seems) the weirder and more obscure things are it seems that it'll be in one of these massive crossover movies.
Whoever went into this movie expecting some extremely poignant or dramatic or five star movie is just bizarre 😂 Like let people have fun movies that are crazy and extremely extra.
I'm surprised you didn't mention the King Kong joke. Legit made me laugh out loud. "KING KONG AIN'T GOT NOTHING ON ME!" with King Kong in the crowd, ha!
To the movie's credit though, I have to admit I do think it makes more sense for the Looney Tunes to exist in a cyber world rather than the center of the earth.
I agree too. Because I was and still am curious as to how Looney Tunes World existed in the first Space Jam movie. Same goes for Toon Town in Who Framed Roger Rabbit.
as someone who absolutely loves golden era movies (favorite channel is tcm), shooooot...i'm with andre with the idea of a movie with the looney tunes infiltrating older and newer movies with the idea that new is great, but never forget the classics/origins. andre, i'm down for writing that script with you!
I just felt that more when people were comparing the Space Jam movies, which I totally understand, but as someone who loves Looney Tunes, I wish we could see them in their natural element like the new HBO Max shorts. But then again, using the "Space Jam" premise is the reason this movie got made. I doubt they would have made a Looney Tunes movie on its own.
@@BlackNerdComedy that is true. but if tom and jerry can have all those crossover movies (including wizard of oz lol), same with the flintstones and scooby-doo, there has to be a market for the looney tunes to have their own standalone movie away from basketball, you know? i still love your idea about melding old movies with the looney tunes, i could really envision that. and think it would be a good, but sly, way of (re)introducing the masses to these older movies that were around the same time looney tunes were...which could also be a plot point!
There's a line in the film "You remember fun, right?" And I think it is a good reminder. If you're up for it you'll enjoy it, if you're not you won't. Everyone seems to see things in 1 or 5 star when 3s can exist too. This delivers and that's ok for me.
It's good to see your review because in Genuine Joy. You actually caught all the easter eggs and references and just had fun. It's not gonna win the academy award but it was fun
This is why I respect your reviews so much, regardless of whether or not I agree with them - you're fair about how you review movies and aren't afraid to put out unpopular opinions about them. This is a perfect example of that: you acknowledge that the movie isn't good and that there are plenty of legit reasons to not like it and you don't shame people who don't like it but you also don't shy away from telling us how much you enjoyed the movie despite (or possibly because of) it's problems. You show respect to others and that gets you respected in return. EDIT: I do completely agree that the Looney Tunes traveling around and making mischief in other WB properties for an entire movie would be a lot of fun IF they do it the right way. I'm thinking something along the lines of how Kingdom Hearts links all of the different classic Disney IPs into a unified narrative, but maybe not quite so dark and depressing? There is definitely some serious potential there, though.
This movie could have failed like Ready Player One but its so fun and good, it does what Ready Player One tried to do. The reference jokes are so good. Oh and the dark humour on Bugs Bunny is crazy, so self aware.
I knew there was something about this movie I loved and Andre… you showed that I loved every second of it. It was very corny and in your face with references and bad acting, but that was the whole point of the movie and every actor was having a blast being corny! This movie was the perfect sequel to Space Jam.
People really trying to pretend like "Hip hop Looney Tunes" weren't a thing they tried to do? What's next they going to pretend like Lunatics didn't happen? It happened.
I liked it too, people legit being mad at nothing. It's a good movie for kids and the fact that I was laughing watching it surprised me. Not the trainwreck that was foretold at all. This ain't the movie to be picking on/going after. I don't know anything about basketball but I think everyone just hates Lebron and that's what it boils down to from what I've noticed
I **LOVE** the first Space Jam movie. It's really entertaining ! And I just watched the second one right now. And I really liked it too. It's different for sure, but it was still very entertaining too. I would watch it again, and not just for the thousands of references I missed. Sure there are some weird parts here and there but seriously, I didn't minded most of them. Just kinda sad the Goon Squad disappear just like that at the end but overall I had a really good time. And I got baited by the Mickael B. Jordan Cameo. And I loved the Gremlins cameo. And I was laughing so hard when I saw Vil E. Coyote going WITNESS ME in the Mad Max Section.
I agree with you man. I would love to see this guys going to all this world. It reminds me of the trailers for the Lilo and Stitch movie. Where Stitch goes to different Disney movies. Or Kingdom Hearts basically xD

Oh, been waiting for this. I know how you would love to love the new legacy. And before I watch the video, I know somewhere in there you liked it too. Eh, it was a jam after all. 🙃
JAM
I’m glad Andre likes it. I know so many people who just hate this movie. But I had fun! I like it better than the first even!
That Michael B Jordan scene was honestly the funniest part of the movie! 😂
Al G Rythym was invented so WB execs have more free time to harass Ray Fisher.
Oof.
The part where Al G Rhythm says “King Kong ain’t got NOTHIN on me!” Was Hilarious! Especially when Kong himself was all like “ You JERK”
Lmao 🤣
"Welcome to the Space Jam"
sad that line isn't in the movie
From what I heard WB really is using an algorithm to make movies
Moments when Andre called and confirmed this movie an 2 hour HBO Max commercial
4:03
10:28
14:10 and 14:30
27:49
My favorite Wizard of Oz line has got to be "There's no place like Space Jam a New Legacy. There's no place like Space Jam a New Legacy."
I had Bugs Bunny's Birthday Blowout, and I remember that game being INSANELY HARD!
Whoever went into this movie expecting some extremely poignant or dramatic or five star movie is just bizarre 😂
Like let people have fun movies that are crazy and extremely extra.
I'm surprised you didn't mention the King Kong joke. Legit made me laugh out loud. "KING KONG AIN'T GOT NOTHING ON ME!" with King Kong in the crowd, ha!
I remember thinking "It would be hilarious if they referenced Bugs Bunny Crazy Castle in this" ... dreams do come true!
As soon as I saw the gremlins in the movie, I was just like "this is gonna make Andre very happy."
as someone who absolutely loves golden era movies (favorite channel is tcm), shooooot...i'm with andre with the idea of a movie with the looney tunes infiltrating older and newer movies with the idea that new is great, but never forget the classics/origins. andre, i'm down for writing that script with you!
Would have given this movie 10 out of 10 if they got Don Cheadle to say "And I took that personally."
WB actually uses an algorithm...
I just hope we don’t have to wait another 25 years for Space Jam 3… we can’t wait that long for another masterpiece 🥺😭😭😭🏀🐰
There's a line in the film "You remember fun, right?" And I think it is a good reminder. If you're up for it you'll enjoy it, if you're not you won't. Everyone seems to see things in 1 or 5 star when 3s can exist too. This delivers and that's ok for me.
I watched this last night, this movie took me out it was so funny. Granny’s “game blouses” I was crying
I never noticed that I missed “chain chomp yomp,” until just now. 😢
This movie could have failed like Ready Player One but its so fun and good, it does what Ready Player One tried to do.
The reference jokes are so good.
Oh and the dark humour on Bugs Bunny is crazy, so self aware.
Okay, this was an excellent 30 minute advert for the movie. I'm sold.
Love how Andre talks about the good and the bad without lashing out like a crazy mad man like most of youtubers Ive watch.
I could really have a entire movie with the Looney Tunes in the 3D CGI style except it wouldn't be Space Jam related. 🥰
I like to think that the reason Osmosis Jones isn't in the movie is because he's just hanging out inside Bill Murray's body the whole time.
AL-G Rhythm got reinstalled and ended up cancelling Batgirl, Scoob! 2 and Lil Ellen, he’s also the one responsible for having WB merge with Discovery
Wish I could've heard your reaction to the Gremlins, I immediately thought of you when they showed up, LOL
This video really brighten up my day, Andre! Thank you for the good laugh!
No reference to the Black Mom energy from LeBron's wife in this movie? She had my wife and I cracking up. 😂
