Speaking of French blue, I’d absolutely love a candle from Auden leuer with a powder/french blue vessel! I think it’d be perfect to celebrate baby boy and the blue you’ve gravitated towards during your pregnancy!!!💙
Typically a silent viewer, but just wanted to let you know I love your videos and content!
Same 🥰
Same same 😊
Me too
I agree
❤
I absolutely love the first light. The more sparse white washed one! It’s so beautiful and would fit the house so well in my opinion!
I agree. I like a mix of tones anyways.
Check Wayfair? I think they have something similar only natural wood.
Absolutely my favorite too.
Agreed. It made my heart skip a beat
Me too! And come on, you know you could do something to it to make it a better fit colorwise. Seems like I saw a much smaller, similar one in the same store that would work over the sink.
OMG! that first candelabra with the skinny tubes is so perfect 😭 it could easily be customized with a light tint too if the color is not right.
I thought it was beautiful, but wasn't it too small?
@@tracygarrett3952 it was 40 inches and she said it had to be at least 3 feet wide so it would be the perfect size. I just love that it's ornate without trying too hard, it's also kind of unique. She has to really love it though so hopefully she can find the one ✨
Macenna! You can totally refinish that first light! It was exactly what you showed us online!!
I LOVE THE FIRST CHANDELIER; its airier, more elegant. If you want to darken it up a little use a little bronze stain. And it won't shadow shapes on the dining room table. I love the blue and white old tiles.
Ooh, Anna on How to Renovate a Chateau here on RUclips made her own French Blue tiles for her kitchen renovation. She also makes her own really beautiful block print wallpapers x
Came here to say this. Watch her episode making the tiles. It's SO inspiring!
Sounds like another good channel to check out! Another (French) RUclipsr, Clara Victoria, just did a haul from her thrifting/brocante adventure and it included finding those large lever door handles that MaCenna wants so so much.
Loved the first light with the white wash, I would be on the hunt for natural wood in that design. Your kitchen and the cabinets would be the focus and to have the openness of that first one will not take away the beauty but enhance it!!
I saw someone respond to another comment here that they saw something similar on Wayfair in natural wood, maybe check it out? ☺️
McKenna, your face is glowing more everyday the closer you come to having your little boy. I so look forward to your videos with Kinsley and Romeo. Blessings to you all!!
You need the first chandelier, it’s PERFECT!!
That faucet was stunning! Thank you for taking us with you to explore California's hardware shops 😊
Those tiles all look like they are from Portugal! The buildings are lined with all different ones. You would die in the flea markets in Lisbon! The tiles run as low as £3 and the brass is amazing and there is hardware and you would LOVE IT!
Great vintage stores. As to the pot filler , my son and his wife remodeled their kitchen. They have a pot filler that is rarely ever used. The water sits in the pipe for days before it’s needed. You still have to lug it to the sink ,now it’s heavier because there is pasta or food in it that needs draining
I have friends who have put in pot fillers and have said the same thing; they never use it and wish they hadn’t wasted their money putting one in and spent that money on other things.
She said in preview videos that the sink is far from the stove in the new kitchen layout and thats why she thinks its a good idea
It’s funny how everyone is different. I use my pot filler all of the time, as does my son at his house. It is one of my favorite parts of my kitchen 😊.
I never understood the “pot filler” you still have to carry the water with pasta to the sink to drain! It was going to do that I would put in a small sink with pot filler rt next to the stove and it would also be useful for wiping down the stove with the sink right there
Ooh and those old Delft blue tiles remind me of my first house in Amsterdam. Sweet memories there..
I loved the first chalky chandelier, great.
I liked it, too, and I know she's looking for vintage or antique, but I really liked the 3 tiered one she showed from online in her last video in that sort of style. It's new, but not modern and there are many new ones that look just like the one in the shop.
My 2 cents? The second light from the first shop that you took a pic of - the aged bronze one- = Perfection!
I love that one, too! I think it's more ornate than she'd like in there.
What about a hanging lantern over the sink? 😊 it would still add interest but not compete with the chandelier or make it look busy. I love window shopping with you 💓
I have found that crystal in the kitchen gets greasy and then dust sticks to it. Love to watch shopping, ooh the possibilities!
It's so hard to clean. One at a time.
I remember when you didn't love the French blue tiles in your bathroom and now you changed your mind! Love your videos. Looking forward to you having your little one. I especially love when you go out with your mom and video call her when you are having an adventure. I used to do that with my mom. She passed at 93 years old. I smile at my memories when I watch you. You inspire me and let me know that I can do anything I want to do in my home. Yay power tools!
The brown abstract tiles were so gorgeous, and that whitewashed light you could stain darker , it was really pretty...In Good old Things you were in there around 30 seconds in you showed a black, glass panel or 8 to 12 sided light , it was really unusual and quite striking, that would look fantastic with your ceiling beams ...straight lines nothing curving yet gorgeous. It was right before you showed the horse...
Those working faucets in the store are blowing my mind. I would run around and try all of them (and possibly be thrown out). 😂
Have never been so excited for a reveal but loving each step of the way too lol ❤
Make sure you have a side spray or pull-out faucet. The bridge faucet you looked at comes w a sidespray, fyi. Newport brass and waterstone are going to have significantly more options for the antiqued finishes you're looking for.
Yes! Yes! Yes! The white washed chandelier was perfect!
I just watched a video on old homes and they had brass "touch plates AKA "finger plates" or "push plates"" above the backplate to the door knob where people put their hands when they pushed the door open. Some of them were extraordinarily beautifully patterned. And another home had "sweeping corners" which are little triangle shaped brass corners that go in the outer corners of each step to keep the dust from settling in the very corner!! I'm so obsessed now!
I always thought push plates were such a unique way to add detail and dress up a door 😊
I hope MaCenna sees this!!
I hope that she sees it, too, but she gets so many comments LOL
@XOMacenna maybe?
It's so sweet how you hold you baby tummy ❤
I love your attention to detail- right down to door knob length! Your dedication to your craft and to the beauty of the space you're creating is inspiring.
Usually I’m a quite listener too , but I love MaCenna and Romeo and her inspirations that got me out of my shell❤❤❤
If you want to use some antique tile, consider insetting some into your dining table. Either the surface as a heat resistant area, or round the edge of the frame
Sooo… I got my candle bundle today. My mom sneakily went through my package… like I wouldn’t notice…lol. I offered for her to pick one to keep and she was thrilled! She loved the vessels and the fragrances and eventually settled on Ellori despite her insisting she doesn’t like floral scents 😂. They all smell amazing and truly unique. We are both pretty selective with candles and can tell they are great quality! Willow is probably my favorite! It’s so earthy and warm 🥰
Love the first light…I think it would suit your house so well. It’s ornate enough to be special but not too much and not too specific to one style. Beautiful!
I cant wait to see the finish Kitchen. It will look so good.
Love your Videos ❤
Dotting vintage patterned tiles amongst predominantly plain modern ones could be a way to go...like the bathroom.
Definitely get the wall fountain for outside on that wall!!
love that piece at 11:18 - the acanthus leaf detail is gorgeous!!!
I LOVE the first chandelier, the one that was 40"!! So classy!
Oh my gosh, go back and buy the candleabra from Rod McKuen’s estate. Poet, singer, songwriter. Cool piece of history!
Even without the history that Fixture has the panache to transform your home into yours and only yours.
the white-washed one is perfect... just re-stain it!
Ok so you're looking for the French style. Why don't you look online for stores in the South Louisiana area? Most of the old salvage will lean French.
Clever!
These antique tiles are beautiful, where I once lived it was customary to tile kitchens and bathrooms with one color and insert some parts a few tiles with the same color as a background, but with a pattern or design. It could be an idea for the kitchen if you like the style and if you find some tiles that you really like. I can't wait to see the final result.🥰
Okay I KNOW you don’t want a light with crystals but I can’t help but feel like a small little dainty vintage fixture w a few crystals would love soooo pretty above the sink in juxtaposition with the more masculine, strong statement fixture above the dining room table. Call me crazy, but I see your vision and I just can’t shake it I feel like it would be so pretty! But I’m excited to see what you pick and choose!!!
I’ve thought this too!
The white wash one was perfect ❤
Do you need that fountain in your garden, imagine the sound.😊
Get that little fountain and hang it on the place where they are covering up the wall for the fridge with some lattuce and ivy ❤😍
Have been away for awhile! Good to be back! Like visiting an old friend. Followed you all the way on the cottage remake. Great to be back with you! ❤
I just want to say those handles will be very easy for a toddler to open. Make sure you have door locks higher. Toddlers will surprise you on their abilities, especially to escape.
Thank you so much for giving us a view of what’s inside Olde Good Things!! I’ve wanted to shop their showrooms for what seems like eons. Lucky you getting to view their enormous and varried offerings - hope not too head spinning!!
I just love you and all your adventures! Can not wait to see you two's bundle of joy.
Omg that light is INSANE!!!!
signature hardware online... has door handle/knobs like you want
I really liked the t-bar light with the two light shades that you found in a previous video. It felt very in keeping with your style and had a uniqueness to it❤
I adore your video’s honey, you are such an inspiration, and a lovely lady to boot. ❤❤
Thank you for taking us on a shopping adventure today, I would be so overwhelmed in a store with so many choices. Let the hunt begin 😂😂
I LOVE the third light!!! It’s so beautiful like it came right out of a painting 🤩🤩 the second is also sooo pretty
Really loved the light fixture that had a lot going on. Stunning!!
The first chandelier was amazing. You could definitely do something with it to fit your space. X
I love that garden sink!
Getting soooo excited to seeing the kitchen come together and what you pick! Luv luv your videos- a good day is when Macenna has a video out! 🙌🙌
So happy to see you today, You look so well and happy. Wonderful!
Hi from Sweden ✌🏻 You are awesome person and don’t you ever stop being you ❤️
Thanks for taking us on your shopping journey. I live in a very small town in Canada that doesn’t have a lot to offer, so this is fun 🙂💕
I am so enjoying going on this kitchen shopping adventure with you. I love your style .
OMG it works, Macenna turning on the water at the Kohler show room!! Loving this process and can't wait to see how it all comes together,
My mind still goes back to the early brass bar one, with the two fabric lampshades. They’d give such a lovely soft glow, and you could get them redone in a more kitchen friendly fabric. It picks up the linearity of the oven handles
Great video. I loved the first light you saw. Good luck with your shopping 🤞🤞🤞
Cant wait yo see all the pretty stuff you select.
Good evening
I enjoyed watching this latest shopping experience…
Wanted to add a comment on my New “Willow”
candle I just received this morning.
Of course the package is absolutely beautiful as always, thanks to XO’s Momma
At first I always take a sniff of the candle…
Quite different than what I imagined… very subtle almost questioned if I was actually smelling anything … but lots of pollen out where I live so my sniffer may not be up to its typical
Snuff!
After lighting I kept sniffing to see what this exact scent was ?
Still unable to get a great sniff … I left the kitchen which is about a 45ft by 16ft area
For approximately an hour…
Upon my return the fragrance was still very subtle and at the same time the underlying fragrance lingered in the kitchen and down a very long hall and into my bedroom….
How such a subtle fragrance managed to delicately blend within the areas of my home still puzzle’s my mind… in a good way.
For those who may be Leary of a heavy scent … this might just fit your liking.
I typically enjoy a more flowery scent in a candle … however having Willow burn all day
at 8:15 pm est USA 🇺🇸 I blew it out…
Impressed and content with “Willow”
possibly a great choice for your kitchen candle!
Watching your videos meanwhile cleaning the house and even if I can't look at evey single thing you show, I always love the music you use that keeps me company! So soothing! Ever thought to create a playlist on Spotify, please? 😁😊
Remembering picking for my house we built..I was sooooo overwhelmed...called my mom...come to this show room and help me....tile was the biggest, well and lighting...all turned out...
Cost. Alot of money🤔
❤
We have very different styles so when you do these shopping and inspo I have a hard time seeing your vision. But when you finish putting a room together I always LOVE the outcome!!
Oh, that first tile you picked up! So delicate, it could never be busy regardless how many you used.
This is a fun video. Loved going shopping with her. Getting so excited for the new kitchen
Work day for me, my lunch time/ break couldn't arrive fast enough so I can sit down and watch the video. Talk about the KOHLER experience, I was surprised to see the faucet working , unexpected hand wash lol . Getting supper excited to see the final kitchen reveal. Amazing work.
❤❤❤❤❤
Love from Tunisia 🇹🇳 Sarah
I ve been following you since you were at ur appart
Keep the good work gul❤
Sometimes I get such ASMR tingles when you go antique shopping!! The fact that it's REAL unintentional ASMR, is just magical.. I could watch you go through those stores for probably way TOO long lol. So relaxing.🙂🖤
Poor mama, I can hear you struggling to take a deep breath as you perused the stores and it took me back to when my own lungs were being crushed 😂
Ur kitchen is going to look so goooood. I'm jealous...🙄
So happy for u Macenna. 🫂
The green dress in this video is the cutest maternity dress you’ve worn. Looks cute and modern! 😊
😂 The faucet! I wasn't expecting it to be working either.
My favorite time of any day! :)
OMG, I got my candle last evening. I love it. It’s truly wonderful.
So enjoyed shopping with you.
Loved watching your video. Your bedroom is as adorable as you are. Can't wait for more videos. God Bless.❤
I got Willow in the mail today :) Well done MaCenna, it's lovely!
You look good and glowing! ❤❤❤
The first light gave me farmhouse vibes. The second ornate one is gorgeous!
I love antique shopping vlogs! Can’t wait to see what you source. I love that you hunt and don’t just cave and buy new if you can find what you want right away. You’re a true curator!
On a water filter note for the kitchen, have you considered an under sink option like the Hydroviv?? It connects to your faucet and filters the cold water without needing an additional fixture. I have it and love it!
I just got my Willow candle in the mail today. I am obsessed 😍
It was wonderful taking us browsing with you.
Those antique tiles are cuteee!
I need a very close tutorial video on how u do ur eyeliner plzzz❤
I like the first light you showed us.
I’ve been watching your videos for a very very long time and I just want to say I want to see more of LA! That last scene was so cool 😎 ☀️🌴
You look absolutely stunning your face glows! That dirt store you went in oh my gosh it was to die for! I really want you to find everything that you want I know how special this is❤
I may be old but I’m looking at the ornate lights and think “Ugh, the dusting” 😂
for the refrig, use can use antique/vintage towel racks.
Wow nice see you again ....love video so many ideas 💡 ❤
Your jumpsuit is so cute!!
I love all those places! I recently remodeled and I used the Kohl’s Artifacts collection through my home and I love it! I think you’ll be happy with it! I have the cross top faucet handles and gear handles.
Looooved the first one
