@@Rustikreign Hey, I get what you're saying. Somethings are better in simplicity . It puts this in a whole new light. Some covers of this have way too much going on in it. That's why I did not care for Charley Crockett's version. I'll give this one another shot. Ty.
@@Rustikreign Yes, I still have little faith in humanity in general, but there are exceptions..such as yourself. Thank you for the kind comment. As misanthropic I may feel at times, I know there are still good people. Me and my family had covid almost a year ago and it opened my eyes about how precious life actually is.
Out of all the recorded versions of this song, this is the most boring by far. and I don't buy that the owner of this voice could/would ever be in a situation like this. Lol sounds like Blink 182 covering this.
I assume you don't know what a cover is, nor how to read descriptions. Billy Cobb covered this song written by Leon Payne assumingly sometime in the early 50's, then Loy Clingman covered this song 1957, then Sanford Clark covered this song in 1968. So you could say that Sanford made a cover of a cover.
Thank you so much. Now I can play this one on repeat.
Same!
For real, I play like 4 versions of this song on repeat
Possibly the best cover of Sanford Clark’s song I have heard.
I love the banjo in there
Excellent cover. I miss the old music.
Love this version. Nicely done
Simply great buddy
Reminds me of the first time I heard Wilco in the beginning of me finding me.....
Dude, this is great!
Damn straight buddy.
Very nice cover, keep it coming 👌 👍 😀
had no idea he said "Sing Sing prison" thought it was a seat in sane prison lol
I like this version. Well done.
Love it
lovely ole tune ...covered over and over , just like MC5S Kick out theJams.
I need a tab for this song lol
Seems like everyone covered this. Even Ray Price. I like Sanford Clark's version the best.
@@Rustikreign This version is a hell a lot more country than Clark's.
Clark's is the best, this is second...

Check it out or don't....
It's nothing to me.
@@Rustikreign I respect Billy and his talent, but this version bores me.
I thought it lacked luster, but it's all about personal tastes.

How many dollars of change did you drop for this song?
Not sure the beat works, but kudos for covering this great Sanford Clark track!
Not a Sanford song. They have the most popular cover though
Sick
is this cub scout old enough to get into a bar [ .Buddy ]
That’s the kinda guy you gotta watch out for, he’s got somethin to prove
It's nothing to me...
What about Johnny Winter
your voice is too clean and refined for the tone of the song and the gritty color of the strings.
This is not me playing or singing
I hope you're subed to Billy cobb because he makes so much good stuff like this.
This recording is from the 1950s
@@RPM1776 um no its not its a cover made like last year.
Yikes

Also this song was written by Leon Payne but originally recorded by Clingman
@@Iliekchoocolatye My favourite version is the one by Sanford clark
Thank you, I didn't know Leon Payne wrote it, I will change the description
@@suupmah288 Mine too! and no problemo!
Stoles that beat form sandford Clark you RIP OFF sounds horrible.

The Sadies also did a great cover of this tune.
Dozens of people covered this. People cover songs all the time. Nobody claimed it's Billy Cobbs song
This song is supposed to sound horrible...Buddy. It's about getting killed in a bar... Buddy...
I don’t see it. Bit of butcher job. Lost flow and harmony of original. Maybe it’s that pubescent voice.
Well, that wasn't very cute. But, it's definitely a baritone type song.
