I call it Southern Rock with a slight Appalachian Bluegrass influence. And yeah, I grew up in the South hearing music like this at the Cumberland Bluegrass Festival which really had all kinds of music and all types of people gettin along and havin a good ol time.

2012 was a hard year for me and 2013 was no better. I found this bands sound not more than 6 months ago. I really wish I had these gems to help me through those times but being on the other side of pain and hearing those words from someone with a profound look on his own future is prolific. Thank you for blessing this world (and me) with your gift.

brown bird is some soul touching music
omg this type of music really gives me chills
I call it Southern Rock with a slight Appalachian Bluegrass influence. And yeah, I grew up in the South hearing music like this at the Cumberland Bluegrass Festival which really had all kinds of music and all types of people gettin along and havin a good ol time.
That guitar/bass combo or whatever it is at the beginning is SO AWESOME.
It's just a guitar in drop d and yeah it's a super heady riff.
I typically don't listen to music like this but this band is, surprisingly, currently one of my favorites :)
