@@anthonywalden3029 Thankyou I plan to do a more detailed video of how I did it I think the same process would apply for any fwd car donor so that should work
@@simplytinkerdad Thank you for the info! I am looking forward to seeing how this is done. I have a Volvo Engine that I want to make onto a Dune Buggy. Thanks for this 😎😎😎😎
This is how it should be done. No overly expensive parts/kits. The rear steer is great. Extra points for the wire holding the coolant tank 👍. Subscribed✔️
I'd like to do one with front engine with a turbo 200r4trans and a gm 3.1 v6 mpfi id like to be able to take in on the road also.. it still has to be a rocket ship with that 3.4 Malibu engine? Cause those things out out like 185hp...
New subscriber here. Really awesome build my friend. I am starting a channel when it gets a bit warmer here in PA to build a 1928 4 wheel version of a 3 wheel Morgan Special. I have been building a machine shop so that I can make any parts thatr may need made. I am also looking for parts to build a Pembleton. Keep up the great work..
sweet lookin buggy. you dont mind if i "borrow" that rear steering setup? i've got few ideas for my own buggy . having small air compressor and tank onboard is genius idea too; either to re-fill your own tires or help fellow off roader in dire need ;)
From the donor car I took the majority of the powertrain wiring including the body control module I didn’t know if it would run without it also it saves headaches later if you cut a bunch of stuff out and then something don’t work right That will be irritating. Its all hidden in a suitcase on top of the engine
@@Datdudejerry. I had to wire in a resistor to bypass the anti theft I don’t remember the ohms I did it right by the key switch. Still using the oem key switch.
I will be doing a fun video of the buggy driving once the weather warms back up ☀️
This is so 😎😎😎😎 Can you show me how to build one of these but using the 5 Cylinder 2.5 Volvo Engine and Platform?

This bad boy looks like a fun ride
Very nice and creative 😎👍👍
Love it!! Thank you for a succinct and to the point video!
Very cool. I am doing the same with a 4 seater buggy frame and 01 honda Odyssey drivetrian.
Using the v6?
That's my dream
yes, j35 out of 01 Odyssey, @@punk46664

I think it only has around 170hp but it is plenty for off roading and can still do 80mph on the road

I had to look those up that is going to be awesome I have never seen one

Thanks! Yes I would like to see people’s ideas of this concept it could definitely be improved
Does it wheelie?
No I wish. The engine sits to far in front of the wheels for the 150hp engine to pull them up but it does nice burnouts
@@simplytinkerdad Sounds like you need better tires and a giant turbo😀😀😀
cool rig
Thankyou
could mount the engine sideways and use the axle outputs to drive a differential front and rear for 4wd.
That is an awesome idea I would like to try that in the future
How did you go about the wiring??

@@simplytinkerdad how do you go about dropping the engine?
@@Datdudejerry. Ha well I cut the front of the donor car up with a torch and slid it out the front worked good but the car was trashed
So u put it on reverse to go forward?
Ha no still drive to go forward just everything is in the rear now
@@simplytinkerdad can u make a new video explaining Its hard to understand how it drives forward if it's facing the opposite direction thank u 🙏🏻
Looking forward to this
Have a video explaining the build better coming out in a couple days I’m sorry for the wait
pretty cool!
Are you gonna do a video of you driving it?
Yes I sure will soon
Brillant!!
Great build, it must turn on a dime?
Yes it can its like driving a forklift
Super cool
All 4 wheels have independent suspensions ??
Yes the front axle is torsion spring from vw bug and the back is struts from the donor car
Beleza muito bom 👍👍
Awesome
Neat
I want to do the same thing with my 3800 v6
That would be even faster I thought it would have been nice to start with one with the super charger I like that parts are cheap for these
