ROSE IN WATER for 200 DAYS! - Time Lapse
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 17 ноя 2023
- Check out this time-lapse video to see what happens when you put a rose in a glass dome filled with water and keep it submerged for 200 days. After 150 days rose turned the water pitch black, making it really hard to see what was going on. I initially wanted to film it for a whole year, but I stopped at day 200 for this reason.
The description will be fixed after the reveal, but you wouldn't want me to spoiler it for you :)

Fun Fact:
Roses can live for a very long time; the world's oldest living rose is believed to be 1,000 years old and is growing on the wall of the Hildesheim Cathedral in Germany.

How many licks does it take to get to the center of the blackened rose water lollipop?
a rose by any other prefix.. could … you know. the title.
Do you have a video showing how you make these videos, and what cameras you use? Do you leave the cameras in situ for the whole month/year? Would love to see how it is done. Really enjoy them.
Plastic rose, booooo😊
I have one of these! I bought it for $20 at a grocery store! It’s RAINBOW!! It’s BEAUTIFUL!! I’m glad I’ll have many months with it! Wasn’t sure what was in it.
Dark elixir storage
that's a creative one, but nope
@@PhotoOwlHow big is your coc?

@@PhotoOwl What's the right answer?
i always lost to hidden archer spam lol my base sucked
This is definitely almost like a fairy tale. The way the leaves turned completely black is insane and almost magical. 🥀🖤✨
I know right! I'm getting lore inspirations from this :D
Coal formation underway ..... 😉
Real-life footage of what would have happened if the beast wouldn't have found the beauty
Man, if only you could analyze samples from these underwater stuff under microscope! it would be really fascinating to see what microbes thrive without any oxygen there.
I did that with the apple video ruclips.net/video/SKRxFSf7S_E/видео.html
But that wasn't as closed as this one
@@PhotoOwl yeah, I have watched that video a thousand time and it's still the beautiful gem as it was the first I watched it. But anyhow, if you analyse stuff like these under microscope frequently it would make your videos even more interesting than they already are!
Water (H2O) is hydrogen and oxygen. There is oxygen in water.
@@btumminaro there is, but basic biochemistry governs how microbes grow. They need Oxygen in elemental form, same reason water doesn't catch fire, it's already a product- the end product of combustion of hydrogen. Oxygen is required to turn carbohydrates to co2 and more water, the heat released from this process is what allows microbes to live.
Now, yes there are unaerobic bacterias that work without oxygen but under the hood they use the oxygen already present in the carbohydrates (c6h1206) and those microbes are actually What I am interested to see. Interestingly, I would also love to observe if some fungus could grow unaerobically although I don't know anything about unaerobic fungues
@@btumminaro Thankyou yes you are correct
Gosh... The entire process behind your films is simply incredible. It involves capturing the essence of how nature thrives and navigates through life, accompanied by captivating music. It's a portrayal of nature's ability to exist and conquer challenges, showing its remarkable resilience and what it's capable of achieving. Thank you for this, I haven't seen something as beautiful for a long time as the films on your channel. I won't lie, some of them even moved me to tears. Keep it up, much love :) !
The reveal was so stressful yet satisfying 😂

Ground up coffee beans. Either that, or ink.
A pen?
Some kind of mineral
Some kind of fruit?
What did it smell like? You could see *_something_* was oxidizing by all the little bubbles. I'd be curious to know what was changing to what 🌹🤯
Wow! It holds up surprisingly well :) Also I heard of this mysterious rose before, now I know how it's made 😄
Yeah, it stayed in a great shape, just got a bit pale :D
2:55 Ok i need a dozen of these.... it honestly is more beautiful at the end!!!!
1:45 That rose showed me a Galaxy
Wowwwwww this is giving serious beauty and the beast vibes
I love how you’re wearing gloves in case it’s toxic lol
when the rose decides that it WILL become the evil rose in one way or another.
This is a rather magical transformation actually, would've never guessed this
I'm glad you liked it!
Can we just acknowledge how this guy is able to store arose for 200 Days somewhere while also filming it, while also doing all the other stuff? Amazing.
I want to do this for someone. This is so much better than buying roses that die in a week or so. The part where it turns the water black and makes the rose look dark and almost hidden is really nice as well.
But how about the scent?
@@Purgatorrri It looks like it holds most of the liquid inside the glass, so i'm guessing it holds most of the scent in? If it was leaking the whole time, i'd assume there was odor coming off of it, and if it was leaking, it wouldn't stay so full. It would be a good experiment at least.
What a great video! I would have loved to have seen the rose afterward put into a dehydrator for preservation! Loved it!
So sad in a way - it was so beautiful when it started. But like any true rose, it held on through thick and thin as conditions deteriorated around it. Surprising that it didn't degrade more than it did in all that time. What would be TRULY fascinating, though probably impossible to record, would be the numerous and variable microscopic life forms that were living in that water around the rose as it slowly degraded. I'm certain that the ratios of the different taxa to each other would change, though without adding additional non-chlorinated water, you obviously coudn't have new ones appearing that weren't there before.
Cool video. Question around your choice of water. Is it distilled water, or tap water? If its not in distilled water, I'd be interested in seeing if this make a difference in the outcome. Tap water can be have chemicals or other germs/impurities that might be affecting what happens. It'd also be interesting to see how sea water/salt water would affect it too.
Make this the top comment
As a former florist, whose job was to keep roses alive, I am curious too, I'm used to dumping cloudy water after a couple days.
Wow! Who'd a thunk it? And the rose still has color which is impressive
It turned into a beautiful goth rose 😆 I love that
And that’s how rosewater is created ☺️✨
🤣
This was beautiful Thankyou. 😊
Thank you! 😊
This looks like it'll actually make quite a cool showpiece in a house or something, just that you'd have to change it every month or so when the colors start to dull.
(why does the flower at the end look so much like an evil rose out of a fairytale 🤣)
Would be cool to do this again, only next time, reveal it inside a tank of clear water. Would love to see that!
Happy this channel was recommended. Surprised yt recommended something I liked.
Hey owl! I have been watching your videos for a while and I just wanna say props to you for putting this much time and effort into making these videos. Also ur only about 200k away from 1mil subs!
More like 150k !! It’s so close!! I wonder if they’ll put their million subs gold plate thingy from RUclips in water 🤣🤣
@@LaurenAngela_aufDeutsch hell naw it will turn emo
That was some clean water. I've kept a fresh rose for 2 months, but that was with water changes to eliminate the bacteria. Really amazing to see it go so long
It turned into black rose !🌹--> ⬛️ 🌹, amazing video 😊
God damn beauty & the beast bullshit lol
This was done very well since it had a black back drop so no one could get a sense of scale of what it truly was. Also that's not the common rose, definitely a certain type, way more expensive.
Well done sir, bravo 🌹
Wow that's a Long time, great video
Now that's the black rose syrup I've been craving for🤤
This is the kind of rose you give to Morticia!
It looks so beautiful
That’s crazy!!! I had no idea that would happen, but it’s so cool!!!
Amazing!
Excelente 👏
beautiful
Wow you were right I didn’t know what happens to a rose in water! It held up so much longer than I would have thought! 😂
I told you hehe :D
It's truely amazing to watch how different items from nature can turn into something like this is only. A couple days!
Gran trabajo 👌
This one was great! Fully enclosed with the object suspended....WOW!!!
this music has such a nice vibe
That's absolutely amazing
This is exciting 😮
oh man truly this is really interesting video. Pretty uncommon too. Nice one
Hermoso ❤️
Thank you
Wow!
Unironically, this is how certain dyes are made. Just take a bunch of plants or flowers and keep em submerged in water for months, then filter out the goo and dry it.
One of the few projects thst must have been nice to check in on!
A rose by any other name is still a rose. NOT THIS ONE.
Hermoso :)
That was gnarly.
The layers peel back--What went wrong? What went right?--a token of affection under curious scrutiny.
Maravilloso
This is the gothest thing I've seen in a while. 🖤
Que bonitas rosas
you're absolutely right, i didn't know what happens to rose in water
If that's just normal tap water, then this should be the global standard for how to display a plucked flower.
Song selection 10 out of 10.
That's some good looking grape juice.
Que belleza 🥰
Me encanto este video
I remember buying a rose for someone once and they used hairspray to preserve it. They kept it on display and suddenly one day it was all the sudden completely black. It looked really cool and they still kept it where it was.
Didn't know you could craft wither roses
I wonder what would’ve happened if you left it outside in direct sunlight for a while.
Looks like the beast had a lot more time than thought
Everyone loves roses. Merch a black shirt with tiny stills from the rose each day. Cycle the pattern back so it can be repeated.
All I know is, every rose has its thorn, kinda like how every cowboy sings a sad song.
The beauty and the beast fr
You should try drying it out next time to see if it retains the dark color!
Hi, I really like your videos. What camera do you use for filming please? thank you for your reply, good luck
genuine rose water
Que bonito
Buen video me gustó
Que hermoso
Guaooo sorprendente 😱😱😱😁😁😁
In 200 days, you have a fine glass of rosé and still a rose to display, once dried.
And that, kids, is the reason why airtight caskets are a terrible idea.
Bellas rosas
That looks like wither rose from Minecraft
I wonder how it smelt
He loved his rose,
Very much,
So much,
That he placed her in a pool of water,
Under the brightest sun,
So that she could live forever,
Happy.
But the sun
Burned her petals
And the water
Rotted her core.

Tremenda idea..
I’m curious, what experiments do you have going rn? Any super long term ones we can look forward to?
Lesson: adding a rose to a container full of glass slowly turns it into a horror movie scene!
Your videos are so so cool 🆒.
Wow, this was really unexpected!!! And so poetic. Wonderful video!
What type of water do you use for these submerge videos? Boiled, tap, spring, de-ionized?
The purest form of torture for organic materials. Also very interesting.
Jokes on you, I watched the full video so I know!
You made a wither rose.
the forbidden grape juice
Roses that do not lose their loftyness in the water are torn from human hands in exchange for not bending their heads even if they rot.
A whole new meaning to rose water
Muy buenos
…Beautiful…but sad at the same time…!!
Yeaaah
